I have 2 Nalgene bottles from here and I still have them after 3-4 years in good condition. This place has sales and a very popular place on MSU's campus even without sales. The staff doesn't burden you and let's you shop but can answer questions you have. My friends have bought sweatshirts and tshirts from here and they still have them in good quality. The sweatshirts are on the more expensive side but come in so many colors that they are preeeeety. :) If you're into North Face, they have a ton of NF apparel.

Every time I go in there to find products I've seemed to have the same experience where most of the employees hate their job and don't wanna be there. Apparently the inventory itself is one step up junk. It all looks good on the outside, but the equipment is definitely subpar and that's being nice. At least the floors are clean. At least they were when I was there. Sadly it seems like everything's overpriced like I said, and even their hunting section is all Gucci crap that no one would really use at least the real hunters. And that's even if you have a section like that. Seriously the whole place is going downhill and I don't think they even know it. This is not just for one location I frequent at least five looking for a single product and they did not even have that even when I called in person on the other line, sadly was not helpful and their website is not helpful in the least sadly. if I had a negative score, I would probably give it here.

I am 83 years old and need a shoehorn to put on shoes. Can you believe that they did not have one in the golf department. One of their employees told me they have never had a shoehorn in golf. They checked the shoe department and they didn't have one either! It would seem to me to be a major failing on the part of the store manager and both department managers not to have something as basic as a shoehorn in a store that sells shoes. I left frustrated and without buying the $190 golf shoes. Dick's is heading in the same direction as other box store who have lost their customer base. They appear to have forgotten who pays the bills to keep the store open. If I wanted to buy shoes and try them on at home, I would have ordered them on Amazon.

I have fished w/ SO every Spring for the past 10 years. I was part of the original group sponsored…read moreby TCO in PA in 2016. This has always been a great fly rod smallmouth bass guide service in previous years. I have taken my son on 2 occasions and 4 other friends over a decade. This April I contacted my guide 10 days before a planned trip w/ concerns about fishing conditions given "100-year rains", a heavy winter snow-pack and flooding in Michigan w/ numerous tailwater dams being threatened. I was assured that the guide "was on the water and conditions were fine". This was a bold-faced lie. I traveled 350+ miles from 3 states away to find the Grand and Huron Rivers 5 feet above the high water mark in flood stage flowing like rapids with water clarity similar to chocolate milk. I specifically suggested that I was happy to reschedule later in the season when conditions were more favorable. I fully understand that guides have a limited season but lying about conditions to maintain income is just wrong. When all is said and done SO essentially stole $1,600 from me given booking fees, guide fees and tip, gas, food and lodging. Don't trust them in the future to have integrity in representing the conditions. They will say anything to preserve income. They have lost a client for life.

If not then they will assist you in finding it and/or point you in the right direction. They won't sell you a product just to make a sale. Brian the owner has set me up with multiple rod/reel combos best suited to what I'm looking to use them for. Helped me with fit to size waders and wading boots. All the guys are very knowledgeable in fly tying and their products because they actually use their own products. Have never had a sub par experience. I've on multiple occasions dropped by just to ask questions or look around and haven't bought anything just because I love the place so much. Also good on keeping fish reports and water flow levels up to date. I'd be hard pressed to give my business anywhere else. Take a peek at some of their fly tying/fly fishing tutorials. They've earned my business from here on out.
