It was not a big party, just close friends and family.. but this band played like they were performing at So-Fi. Blue Breeze Band performed at my wedding in September 2019 and it was the single greatest wedding band I have ever experienced. You may say I am biased because it was my own wedding but you should know that I first heard BBB perform at a completely different wedding in 2017 and their performance that night was equally incredible. Not to mention the dozens of people that have approached me in the months since my wedding and commented on our band's spectacular and memorable performance. This band is extremely professional in their communication and handling of logistics leading up to the event. Harold (the band manager) a very easy and enjoyable person to work with. The band had 9 members. Their performance energy combined with remarkable instrumental and vocal talent makes this band truly stand out. For the price, I believe this band to be the best bang for the buck in California. We LOOOOVE The Blue Breeze Band!!!! My husband and I got married in November of 2013 in Arizona and were having a really hard time finding a band in the area. We are music lovers, therefore this was a super important part of our wedding. We wanted a fun motown band that appealed to all ages. After searching high and low in AZ, we turned to the Southern California music scene. While there are some great bands in LA - we found that many of them were incredibly overpriced, and were not willing to work with us unless we gave them our entire life savings! After searching for weeks we found The Blue Breeze Band and hired them in an instant. To say that working with Harold (the band leader) was great would be a HUGE understatement. He talked to my husband and I all throughout the process to get a better understanding for what we were looking for. We told him we wanted to blow the roof off and have a big, fun party...and that we didn't want anyone to leave the dancefloor...and let's just say he and his band mates more than delivered. Nearly every one of our guests said our band was the best they had seen at a wedding or event - which says a lot. Hi everyone! We hired the Blue Breeze Band after desperately searching for a non-cheesy group to play at our wedding. We wanted a band that would have its own style it excelled at (not one that would play everything from Van Morrison to Journey to Bon Jovi to Beyonce, though we love all those guys) and were searching in the Motown/R&B/Soul genre which we love. We came across the BBB and one review in particular, from a groom whose sole wedding-related duty was to find the band - and after too many whiskeys and renditions of Wonderful Tonight he happened to find these guys. He said to "do yourself a solid" and hire the BBB, so we did! Just read these guys' bios on their website. Impressive! They have lots of clips too, but I have to say they sound even better in person. Perfect in fact. They even learned Cee Lo's "Forget" You for our wedding and even that, not part of their standard repertoire, was perfect. We had so much fun. They could really read the crowd and play the right thing for getting people going. Our guests were out there on the dance floor all night, even people we never would've expected to dance! At the end of the night they got literally every last person on the floor for "Shout" which is my husband's favorite song for a wedding :) As far as the business side of things goes, it was easy to communicate with Harold Wherry, the band leader, and he proactively asked lots of questions to make sure we were prepared and that everything would go smoothly on the day. Which it did. The band's fees are also very reasonable compared to other wedding bands, which in my opinion aren't nearly as talented or as fun. read more

There are bands and there are band. And then there's the Blue Breeze Band. The only band (I know) who does exclusively what they do - Motown, Funk, Soul , R&B (and specializes in it), you won't find bands like this much any more. Here's why: the end result of the actual performance of what guests see is the entertainment experience of yesteryear: tight performers, visually stunning, musical excellence, and ability to get the crowd having the time of their lives. But here's what most don't see behind the scenes: this band is the last of a dying breed of quintessential professionalism in the preparation (which is why their performance is incredible). They know about arriving early and being set up before guests arrive; they know that it takes not just warming up, but rehearsals on site - dealing with the unique aspects of each venue - so they can be prepared when they actually perform. They know having an audio engineer who is dedicated to monitoring the quality throughout the performance is essential in the delivery of their art. I have had the privilege of working with Founder Harold Wherry on several events (one even involving the Secret Service), as well as attended several of their performances elsewhere. Harold and the Blue Breeze Band were exactly what we had in mind when we decided that we wanted a live band that could perform an entire Motown-style set for our wedding reception. Having spent a good amount of time searching for such a band, I honestly believe they are the only one in the San Diego area that has this capability. We were initially a little nervous, as we had not seen them perform in person ahead of time, but we were not disappointed. Their performance was of great quality, and they even learned multiple songs (not on their playlist) per our request (with which they did a great job). Harold was eager and willing to work with us and accommodated many special requests. At the actual event, the band was on time and looked great. All of our guests had an amazing time; many specifically commented on how much they enjoyed the band. In addition, our wedding coordinator says that Harold was very polite and easy to work with for her and many of the other vendors. The Blue Breeze Band is a fabulous R&B band that specializes in classic soul, Motown, and contemporary dance music. I have had the joy of regularly listening and dancing to the Blue Breeze Band for 6-7 years at summer concerts in the park, wine and beer festivals, corporate events, and huge festivals. At each of the about 30 times I have heard this party band play they have the crowd "dancing, and singing, and moving to the grooving" from their very first opening bars of music all the way to closing note of their last song when the crowd is still begging for more. I still have guests talking about the band at the party months later, how GREAT!
