What a great hidden gem! It's got a cozy and welcoming vibe, nice big windows, and the stage looks like they'd have some awesome live entertainment here! I came for lunch, service was good, food was delicious, a little pricey to me for lunch, but definitely nice for a treat

This place is a classic. Great brunch with live music and now the have a great patio They have live music every Friday night Saturday and Sunday music ( check their websites for a full list of what band will be playing when) They have nice vegetarian options such as avocado toast, California Benny, banana bread French toast. They don't have very many pot-based options though. They do have milk alternatives such as macadamia soy milk and almond milk. I recommend the Californian Benny. We also have a wonderful selection of local beer and a great wine and cocktail list They also have a good kids menu. The service was fantastic And they were fantastic about substituting me with something vegetarian

I've wanted to try The Blue Chair café for years but somehow it didn't happen. Today I needed to head out to be in the same general area as the Blue Chair and upon seeing their sign I decided that today I will finally try it out. Some of my assumptions about the café were incorrect. I thought it would be ridiculously expensive. It wasn't. My Reuben Sandwich with a green side salad cost $18.00. That's maybe $1.00 higher than average in Edmonton which isn't bad at all. My guest also ordered a coffee and a Reuben sandwich but her side dish was a corn chowder soup. We did find the Reuben to more salty than most, and too salty overall but it was otherwise quite good. The coffee was good for a non specialty coffee café; much better than you'll get at any chain restaurants but not as good as some local cafés. The service was pleasant and polite. Our server was very accommodating and offered to mix and match just about anything we wanted. We were here at lunch time so there was no live music, which is what The Blue Chair is known for. My guest was very pleased with everything and is looking forward to returning. I'll return but next time it will be in the evening so we can enjoy a glass of wine and the music.

Brunch here is really enjoyable for several reasons. First the food is pretty fantastic. I love the eclectic amount of customers - it's like the central hub for the neighbourhood and on Sunday's they have live music. I'm a big eggs bennie kind of fan, however I'd definitely recommend the banana french toast or really any of the other options for brunch. The groups I've been with all selected different options and everyone was very satisfied with the flavour, taste and size of the meals (I believe there was some OMG moments with the first group I was with). Reason I'm only giving 4 stars... Depending on which server you get, you can customize your eggs bennies. Today was not that case but it was still really delicious, however with the cost I pay it would have been nice if they could have added the spinach too. Which leads me to the fact that I find the cost to be a bit on the higher end of what I'd like to spend on brunch. Like I've mentioned above, the portions are big so I'm good knowing this. However, the last two times I've been here there was cups on the table that gave us the questionable is this dirty/unusable feeling (we ended up having to switch our own mug this time). Also, as this brunch was a catch up with an out of town friend, I would have liked to feel like we weren't subtly being told to leave. I waited so long for my refill of tea pot without having any more water offered to refilled, I kind of felt like we were forgotten about (and the place was only half full today). Update: still consistently good with taste and portion sizes. It was fairly quiet in there for a Saturday (which I was quite surprised about as I've been here several times last year on weekends) but it was a nice perk as the four of us had no problem hearing the conversation at the table. Staff were attentive and everyone was really happy with their orders. First time I've actually ever been seated at the upper level of the restaurant, so I guess it pays off to make a reservation for brunch.

This place continues to impress! I've only been here once and last time was incredible. The live jazz was beautiful and today we had a live guitarist that was just amazing. This time I tried out the banana bread French toast that I tried a bite of last time. WOW!! Fantastic! I could barely finish it, there was a lot but I couldn't stop. This place has some of the best bacon in this city! Best bacon!! I'm telling you - go now! Even if it's just for bacon.

Bison burger and huge side salad.

Brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday, otherwise they open for lunch (closed Mondays). Epic Market is huge. This will be a very popular place for the Whyte Avenue crowd as there are so many options available depending on which floor you enter. We were on the second floor today for brunch but the first floor, which has a similar look and feel, has a Mexican menu. It opens for lunch at 11:30am. It's a unique concept for Edmonton. The server said that they've opened similar restaurants in larger cities like Toronto but Edmonton is their first venture into a "smaller market". The brunch menu was interesting with some unique features and some typical offerings. I had the Pork Bennie, for $18.00 in 2024. The prices are quite reasonable for the type and quantity of the food. My bennie was good. My only criticism is that a special house ketchup would have been a nice touch. The service was excellent and we had a nice view of Gateway Blvd out the window. The coffee includes endless refills which is good because the cups were not very large. I'm sure the vibe is much different for dinner than brunch, but based on our experience, I'll definitely return.

My wife and I both ordered the Chandru Special for $17.50. It's a crepe with bacon and eggs inside plus some cheese slices melted on top. There was a side of fresh fruit. The presentation was somewhat lacking as the cheese slices made it look like something you find at your children's birthday party. The dish definitely needed some sauce to help it down. At least the fruit was good. Our server was very skilled at tunnel vision as she didn't see us even when walking right by our table. Eventually we caught her and got a refill for our coffee. She was pleasent enough when she arrived but definitely didn't want to do refills. On a more positive note, my friend ordered an omelet which came with potatoes that looked like thick potato chips. They looked good and he liked them. If I return it will be because I am in the area and can't find a better place. In other words, three stars out of five.

I was contacted a year later by a new general manager, who addressed my issues, and promised a successful event for 2016. I booked our event with Elizabeth, who was beyond helpful and accommodating. I had so many changes with guest lists, and table arrangements, and Elizabeth happily accommodated every request. The night of the function, I arrived early and there were some things that weren't quite set up right, but the banquet supervisor worked quickly to get things in order. All the staff were very friendly and super helpful. I felt like they all had their A-game on. When there was a discrepancy on the banquet order about what time we had the room until, the supervisor was extremely accommodating. I absolutely love the "Top of the Inn". It's a spectacular room with floor to ceiling windows on both sides, overlooking the city. The room was renovated just a few years ago, and there are stunning sparkling led lights in the ceiling that really make it feel like your under the night sky. This would be a very romantic spot for a wedding. The food is always great here. Buffet's can always be hit or miss but they do a great job here. Many of the guests commented on the food. The banquet prices are competitive with other hotels in Edmonton. Out of all the Edmonton hotels I've held banquets at, or attended banquets, I really think that the Top of the Inn at the Delta is the most stunning. And after the great service we had this time, I won't hesitate to book again.

We would go back in a heartbeat, just need to sleep off the food coma for a while. It's bright and airy in spite of the smallish space and the amount of booths and tables, oh and you can sit at the counter. The walls and ceiling are covered in memorabilia, concert banners and what not. The place was absolutely hopping at 12:45 PM, but we were sat in a booth right away. Waters dropped moments later, asked if we needed coffee, tea or whatever else you wanted to drink. Our server was fantastic, explaining and educating us as we were first timers. The food came out piping hot very quickly and our tea ordered after the food was dropped came in a large teapot and hot just like at home. The clubhouse, which I did not have, has house made ham and turkey according to our server. My corn beef had slices of corn beef that did not taste house made, but the sheer volume of meat I couldn't finish, the eggs were cooked perfectly. K's Mexicasa omelette was excellent with the Mexican meat the star. I know why the place is consistently full, it's that good. Definite redo when back in West Edmonton
