We have lived here for over nine years. We have been taking our Camper to this blue Compass RV for those nine years. They probably have had about 4 to 5 different names/ownersIn these last nine years. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Moe is the service manager and usually checks us in. He is rude, loud and very aggressive on the phone. Every time we take our Camper in for multiple check/updates to be checked out or fixed - after one or two things are completed He calls us up and w that we take our Camper home until the rest of the parts come in. We took our camper in and needed the refrigerator fixed. They don't fix it, but we called a refrigerator, fix it guy and he came and listen to Moe Yell and scream at us. The refrigerator guy even said he heard multiple complaints about this organization. we now take our camper elsewhere to be fixed. I suggest you do so as well. I would give no stars but you have to pick at least one. Go somewhere else. read more

In August 2023 we bought a travel trailer from Blue Compast RV (formerly Candy's RV), in Murfreesboro. We wanted to buy local. When negotiating the sale we told the salesperson we were going to get our own financing through our Credit Union. They insisted on seeing what they could do. When they called us back with the financing options their interest rate was three times what our Credit Union was. The finance person who called back told me that's because they give the best pricing on the RV because they get a kickback from the finance company. So my recommendation is to go in there with your own financing already set up. Then about 2 months after we bought the trailer we had issues with the heater blowing a fuse and the water heater throwing an error code. Note: When we took it into them for service the error was still showing on the water heater. The trailer was under warranty. Their service department found the issue with the heater and fixed that at no charge. But then they cleared the error code on the water heater and stated they couldn't find out what was wrong, the error code was currently cleared and we owed them $69.70 because they couldn't duplicate the problem. We argued the charge with them to no avail. We've purchased plenty of new vehicles and RV's over the years and NEVER were charged for warranty work, even if they couldn't duplicate the problem. We planned to upgrade to a motorhome in a few years, but certainly won't be purchasing it from Blue Compass. We will also be taking our travel trailer elsewhere for service for as long as we have it. Two words - stay away ! After spending $1,600 in service they damaged my trailer's electrical stabilizers as they forgot to retract them before moving the trailer. Additionally they connected my rear lights using only electrical tape. I was also charged to have the roof cleaned and these pictures show the results. Run from this dealership, they are a scam! They advertised their RVs with lower price, once you agree to that price they take your credit card, charge deposit and specially if they know if you flying in ... they will change the price on you after charging you deposit !!!!! scam!!!! BBB has 12 complains in last year... as soon as they find out that I have airline tickets they change the price for 3k more !!!! Promising one thing comes out to completely different .... Don't waste your time .... find someone else !!! I'm reporting them to BBB and Florida Highway Patrol and Safety... hopefully they can take their license away !!!! Don't even think twice !!! Con-People. They do not care what you want or what you're capable of pulling. At least not in the Charlotte NC location (possibly others because I've reached out to them about the situation and no one's called back or responded). We picked out a 23ft 3500lb camper on a Saturday but they said they were "too busy to do the paperwork that day". So my spouse had a day off the next week, but when she went back the salesman upsold her on another camper too large for us to pull and kept swearing to her we could pull it no problem and if we bought the smaller one we'd trade it in later!! It'sd not my wife's fault for not knowing about towing capacities, he should've just done the paperwork for the one we picked out but they wanted a higher commission or something. My max tow capacity is 6400lbs and the camper he upsold her on was 5800lbs dry weight. Now that the paperwork is done they're saying "there isn't anything they can do for us and we should TRADE IN OUR TRUCK"!!! So do not let this happene to you and ruin this whole experience. read more

I don't get any pleasure in bashing any business; however, the truth is the truth and can hurt. I purchased a gently-used, 2017 travel trailer from Ocean Grove this past March. I spent a sizable amount purchasing items I have since discovered I could have purchased for W-A-A-A-Y less even with their discount; however, it was my mistake, and I have no one to blame but myself for my ignorance. There were several other items that needed attention and most were resolved to my satisfaction. However, after waiting for over four months for an item to be mailed to me, it arrived not being the correct item for the year of my unit. I eventually contacted the manufacturer and was sent the correct item free of charge which was not expected but greatly appreciated. Lastly, and biggest dissatisfaction came today when I was finally informed (after more than 5 months since purchase) that the malfunctioning front window shade (discovered on pre-purchase tour and assured "it will be fixed or replaced") could not be obtained. Needless to say, a sun-blocking window shade that doesn't block the sun is useless and an eyesore because it constantly unrolls in a haphazard manner. And how is it possible that an inside window shade cannot be replaced individually but (according to what I was told today) "the whole window would have to be replaced and they are no longer available"? Fortunately for me, I am a consummate DIY woman and know how to fix things! In fact, my solution is going to be more functional than the original fiasco that lasted less than two years from being installed at the factory. Being a first-time purchaser of a travel trailer, I have learned the hard way....BUYER BEWARE!!! read more

I'm so disappointed with this location, I'm not sure where to even begin. Every warranty issue was so difficult to get taken care of. Even something like the tablet that stopped working within 6 months required us to drive the entire unit back over an hour just for them to look at it and tell us to leave and bring it back when the tablet arrived. So that's hundreds of dollars in fuel plus the time of taking off work. We dropped of the unit for another issue and wanted the recall checked on the axels. That was over looked so we had to bring it back again to be checked. We had another issues that was supposed to be repaired and we had to wait to pick up the until because we went through a hurricane. We found that the issue wasn't fixed when we went to pick up for the second time but the service manager said it was our fault that it wasn't fixed because we didn't pick it up on time. I'm not sure of that logic because it wasn't fixed either way. So we missed a camping trip for my kids. Then they couldn't fix the issue and had to order parts but couldn't get the part for 3 weeks. then waited until I checked days later to see if the part was in to decide to order directly from the manufacture. This came in within a week. Crazy they didn't do this from the beginning. Luckily we got the unit back 3 days before we were camping again for winter break. Upon pickup we find damage to our cap that was just repaired less than a month ago. They have pretty much been uncaring, defensive, and rude any time they make mistakes. We have never received an apology for inconveniences or issues. We're always treated like it's our fault. The service manager needs a new job because it is horrible with customer service. First he told us defensively we had to pick up our unit without being fixed even though it's a liability. Then told was they would fix it. Then said we could pick it up but they would be responsible for it. Crazy because that back and forth went on for a hour over the phone. The weirdest experience I've ever had. I know there are issues with most rv service departments but I can't recommend this place at all. I'm still waiting to hear back about the damage to our cap. Service manager told me they'd be in contact the next day, that was 3 days ago. And we just called them ourselves and they just claim it was already there or we did it on the way home. Which is impossible because we just had the cap fixed and it's no where near the truck hitch. So not only do they lie, they take no blame for anything they do. read more

Horrible process. No one cares, I should have been prepared when no one had a record of my appointment on the first attempt. Second try, not great either. It wasn't just one person, it was from the service tech taking in the unit to anyone I ran into during the drop off and pick up, they obviously have no regard for customer service. And they are not satisfied with their jobs. I'm hoping the repair work doesn't show this. I didn't meet the actual repair person so time will tell. I would try another repair place. Can't rate them low enough. We have a 2005 Newmar Kountry Star (Class A motor-home) I called Ocean Grove as they had been recommended by a friend. Our refrigerator had an ammonia leak. I told them that I need the fridge with a water dispenser and ice maker included as ours had both. I gave them the model and serial number of our fridge. They said no problem, pay for the fridge in advance and they would have it there in a couple of days The price was about average, so we had them order the fridge and we waited. When it arrived they called and told us that it did not have a water dispenser, and to get one would be another 7-9 day wait, and another $400.00 or so in cost. After they agreed to knock $400 off the cost, we decided to stick with what they ordered. They got it installed then called me and said "since it doesn't have the water dispenser the nice wood panel that covers the front of it won't transfer from the other. So that will cost another $238.00. Now I am done. Told them not to order it, and I would take care of it. We get to the RV shop and it is installed and working. I put the lower grate back on the fridge and we leave. When I get home I realize that they did not replaced the water valve that I pointed out to them, instead they had not gotten around to connecting the water line up to the ice maker. I had to do it. So a completely shitty job done, and the cost was not worth it... I can't rate them low enough. Wouldn't have bothered me if I hadn't made it a point to tell them exactly what needed to be done. read more

This Dealer is EXTRAORDINARY - I had been shopping for months to find the right Motor Home for our family. I went to large dealers, small dealers and even looked at some private sales. I luckily stumbled on Ocean Grove RV from an ad on Craigslist and I am SO GLAD I DID! I purchased a 2015 Jayco Redhawk - This company is the real deal. No Hype, No Glitz and Glamour - Just honest hard working staff that knows how to treat customers. After dealing with Kevin in Sales, Karl in the Business Office and Robbie in Service, it became quite apparent to me that the secret to Ocean Grove's success is that their company simply adds something to their business model which cannot be bought or measured with money, with every sale they provide passion, caring, sincerity and integrity - While I have 2 larger RV superstores with 20 miles of my home, it will gladly drive over 80 miles to do business with these folks. read more

Well ocean Grove was certainly not that great no matter how you slice it at least I had a website with pictures and prices which cannot be sound is happening now. that of course is to get you interested in something and then you have to stop what you're doing and call or drive all the way in from wherever you're at to take a look at something only to find out you're not interested because it's overpriced and there were no pictures to show the inside. Kudos to Robbie,service manager and his entire crew at Ocean Grove RV. I am always met with a smile and the utmost in professionalism. My RV is serviced by experienced technicians with a vast knowledge of these intricate units. As a person who has RVd for many years from coast to coast nationally and in Canada, I have visited many service centers. Ocean Grove is top drawer. My repairs are always done in a timely fashion and done properly. They always make time for me no matter how slammed they are and crazy busy. But, most importantly, they are truly honest and trustworthy. As a woman who often RVs alone, this is paramount in my world. I have entire faith and trust in Ocean Grove. I refuse to take my rig anywhere else after being ripped off and lied to by other shops in the community. I have also engaged their services regarding special order accessories and they were competitively priced. They arrived in a timely fashion and without a glitch. I have brought my bus in to have certain issues fixed and was pleasantly surprised several times when they informed me I didn't need the costly repair others said I would. Having said that, I am shocked to read even one less than savory review for Ocean Grove. I have been doing business with them for many years, and have never experienced anything less than five star service and treatment. In today's world of the nearly extinct work ethic, it is so refreshing to be able to do business with a shop that truly goes the extra mile for their customers every single time... I will continue to take my RV to Ocean Grove exclusively and sing their well deserved praises in the community. Wish I could give them more than five stars! read more

I went in to see about renting an rv to park on my property whilst restoration on home is being done. I drove up with a friend and a dog in my car. The dog is a service dog. The dog and my friend remained in the car. The staff directed me to a man in a back office. First thing he said that pets were knot permitted. (How did he even know there was possibility of an animal? Spying on me as I drove up? That alone is rather disconcerting.) I advised him dog was a service dog. He said I would heave to provide 'certification'. I TRIED to advise him that there is no certification for service animals. The criteria is: individual has disability, that dog has had training to assist with that disability, that dog has current vaccinations. These are also the three items that they may question. They cannot require me to tell them the disability, they cannot ask me to demonstrate such. I must control dog, keep the dog in good care (clean, fed, water, etc) and dog must behave appropriately. He then became VERY disrespectful and demeaning toward me insisting he knew that dogs do have certification. He was looking at some web page belonging to a private organization, which apparently provided misinformation. He would not let me state the above, I said a few words and he interrupted me, all the time saying he was an expert on that for 25 years. I told him to check the state laws and federal laws, he refused. There are online organizations that claim to certify service dogs usually for a hefty fee. I offered off my dog's initial trainer to speak with him, he refused continuing to talk over me as e was smiling and laughing at me...I guess he was laughing at my disability as well as the fact that he was upsetting me with his disrespectful behavior. In this case, he is discriminating for my disability and my service dog, denying access to a housing option. He also tried to ask me questions from whatever web site he found. The way the questions were stated, it would have required me to reveal my disability. Nothing to do with any certification. I also tried to tell him this and answer the questions that should be asked. The service after the sale is horrible. We purchased a brand new Thor, kinda felt rushed but we did like the unit. When it came time to pick it up I informed the guy that did our walk around that this was my first rv ever and please explain everything to me. Well let me tell you he ran through it like S**t through a tin funnel. When I asked if all the lights worked he said yes he said he checked everything,LIE because I checked them and they were not working and yes I called him out on it and gave me a lame excuse. Now when I got it home I went through everything, the pump was continuously running for the fresh water, I shut it off until I could figure out what the problem was, turns out I found the shut off valves under the sink area and turned them to the on position, wait it gets better, no 12 volt, I tore it apart and found the problem and made the repair. When I purchased the rv one of the cabinet doors needed to be replaced and they said they would replace it, 3 months later its now in stock no call no email and they want me to load up and drag it 1 hour 1 way for them to replace it, the deal at sale time was I would remove it bring it to them and make the exchange and I would replace it, now they tell me I need to make a service appointment, NOT gunna happen. Horrible service! Waited over two months for interior parts to be ordered from warranty covered peeling. They had asked for pictures again after previously given when calling to check status. Would hey have ever called. When picking up trailer sawdust was everywhere in the living/dining area. No respect for their customers. Replaced panel with unmatched color without making me aware. When noticed they said because previous color was discontinued. Unsure if this is a Jayco issue or not. Hopefully these companies that abuse customers and take them for granted will fall! read more

I am writing to make you aware of the situation surrounding the warranty work that your service dept did and is scheduled to finish on Dec 4. We made our decision to purchase our Jay Flight 28RLS from Ocean Grove in July of this year. We had considered many Jayco dealers in the area and a few out of state. Although the same trailer would cost us approx $900 more from Ocean Grove, we decided to purchase there because of the feedback we had gotten from some friends and because of the overwhelming talk you here on camping message boards stating it is always better to buy locally especially when you need service or warranty work. Based upon my experience with you service dept, I am not confident at all. The service advisor, Robert Dotson, who is helping us does seem very capable, was apologetic and seems genuinely concerned about our experience but the impression I got is he was overwhelmed, in a hurry and was frustrated by things the techs were doing. We took our trailer in Nov 6 to fix 3-4 lights, replace a speaker, glue a shower wall panel and to examine a tear in the rubber roof. I picked up the trailer yesterday and here is what I discovered. The battery was dead, our power cord had been used but had just been thrown in the storage bin in a mess not coiled up and fastened with velcro like it was found, cone jack support was broken(Robert gave me a new one), the jack stand pads under the cone were broken where the jack had been dropped on it(didn't discover this until I parked it because the bad ones had been placed on the bottom of the stack), the jack had apparently been dropped and/or drug on the ground because there was dirt lodged in the jack and the jack was bent. Lastly, even though Robert put some kind of roof tape on the tear until the roof can be replaced, it apparently had been left uncovered for the 7-8 days while it was there allowing moisture to penetrate the roof. I had previously put the self-leveling caulk on the tear but it had been removed to take pictures for warranty reasons. We were also told that it would take 2 weeks to get these basic lights with the push buttons that I am certain most all of the jaycos come standard with. Needless to say, we are very disappointed and I have zero confidence that our roof will be replaced correctly. When we take our vehicles to get serviced up the road, they come back clean and nicer than when we left them. They air the tires, fill your fluids and do a basic interior and exterior wash. I would think that is how Ocean Grove would want to treat their customers. Instead, our camper is in worst shape and all they did was replace 1 speaker! We now have a dead battery, bent jack(Robert agreed to have it replaced), broken support cone and pads and a mess of a power cord that Robert had to personally wind up neatly himself. In addition to the warranty work that will be done, I would like my support pads replaced as well. I have pictures of everything if needed. My hope is that this email will be communicated in a way to management so that effective action will be taken to improve the performance and pride of the technicians and also so that other customers won't have their campers disregarded as ours has been. read more

So if you have a problem and need to make a return and they look up the actual receipt in their system then tell you what you have brought back is not the item that you bought because they've missed labeled something and now it is your fault. read more

I purchased a 2014 Keystone Passport that was approx 8 months old that looked brand new. I probably used the RV on three different occasions which resulted in approximately 30 days of actual use. . I paid approx $26,000.00 and will admit the trailer was looked brand new. I got suckered in the Mom and Pop dealer propaganda by the salesman and bought it without any research. I have since learned that I should have been given the remainder of the orig owners warranty instead of purchasing a new warranty plan and could have purchased a brand new one for approx $23,000.00. After four months I realized camping wasn't for me and tried to sell it back to St. Aug RV. Regardless, the dealer said they would buy it back for $14,000.00! I was shocked, thinking they need to make a $12,000.00 profit! Thankfully I was able to sell it myself for $18,000.00. I still lost a lot of money by not doing some research and choosing a honest dealer. In summary, get on your computer and check the price of the model you are buying and if used, check to see if there is still a factory warranty still available. Last thing, research the extended warranty company as I had a very hard time getting my money back from Jayco warranty company. read more

The parts department manager of Ocean Grove RV Center, Robbie is the rudest individual I have encountered in a position of responsibility in a very long time. He quoted me a price for a part, took my credit card information and then charged my card more for the part and told me that he did care what his associates quoted for a part price. The parts department is staff agreed to match pricing. He indicated that he did not care about what his staff quoted and that his price is the only price that matters. I will never deal with them again, you just can't trust them or talk to them in a reasonable manor. read more
