Next time, we would ask to stay on the 2nd floor, facing the pool area across the street. The rooms are very nice, the pool area is great and the staff in the office were very friendly and helpful. There was one lady that worked the afternoon/evenings that we kept running into who was very helpful and friendly to us. She was a very hard worker and checking the pool area, checking the small gym, taking down the umbrellas and working in the office. She was always ready with some suggestions of Restaurants, etc. The decor in the hallways is very fun and interesting to look at.

It's a little outdated, but it's clean and it pays to have a full kitchen. My only beef really is the gym. It's important to me to work out on the property to save time. It's broken down and they haven't updated or fixed it in the three years I've been coming here. The condo is outdated for sure, But the room is comfortable and everything smells clean. I probably will come back for a longer stay and visit a gym in town.

This was a very comfortable stay in the Cottonwood area. Great location and close to downtown…read morerestaurants and grocery stores as well. Great if you are staying for several days as the kitchen has pretty much all you need to whip up some homemade meals. The large soaking tub is awesome but unfortunately the jets weren't working so that was a bummer and also there a flickering light in the bathroom that was annoying. The smell in the room was also a little questionable. Not sure if they use cleaners heavy in vinegar but it did have somewhat of a sour funky smell in the room. Carpets were stained pretty heavily as well. With these minor setbacks, it was still a great property and the pool area was nice I just wish they would skim the pool more as there were a bunch of dead bees floating around. Also the pool water is super salty as well too. It must be salt water and not chlorine but I've never seen water be so salty before. I know the review sounds overall negative but the convenience of the large room, great price, and wonderful location it definitely makes it worth it to stay here.

As we're cruising down the main street we passed The Inn Above Oak Creek and noticed they had a lit-up vacancy sign. We immediately went in and met with the inn keeper who offered to let us go see the room before we committed to booking. This is THE cutest little 13 room inn set right on Oak Creek. There is seating down by the creek, on the patio off the main room, and inside the main room itself that all have great views. Our room was very spacious with a 2-person sized bathtub and a fireplace! It had truly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. My husband was obsessed and wanting to know how we could copy it to have at home. Both of the inn managers were so kind and took such good care of us. You could feel how much they care for the inn and value their guests. There's always coffee and water set out. They have homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning. They have a bookshelf with various options for reading and a large selection of movies. On the coffee table, they have binders full of recommendations for trails and exploring the area. It was such a cute and intimate place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Sedona and I'd love to stay here again! We truly couldn't have found a better place to stay for Valentine's Day. We felt so lucky to have gotten a room here.

Super adorable little inn with friendly staff, we stayed for 3 nights as we explored the area. The inn is comfy, unpretentious , focused on sustainability/environment and our room was very clean with all the necessities. All the furnishings were kept up and loved the photography in the room. Close to lots of services, many within walking distance we are happy we decided to stay at Pines vs in Sedona proper as it was affordable/not overpriced and a wonderful stay! Two items to point out for folks considering- no breakfast offered (never a big deal for us) and we did not get daily housekeeping services. Perhaps the latter is communicated somewhere but we never saw it.

Although I do not hold management accountable for things that may not be under their control - I was expecting better. Having the opportunity to regularly stay over many accommodations across and occasionally outside the country, not a professional hotel reviewer by any means, and not a regular business traveler - but as a primarily pleasure and needs wanderer, I have developed as what I believe is my concise method for scoring the worthiness of each hotel visited. My criteria are as follows and the results are: 1) ease of access to and from public or private ground transportation [Score: 4.5 ]; 2) convenient and safe parking [Score : 3.5 ]; 3) access, accuracy and convenience of check in and check out [Score: 4.5 ]; 4) atmosphere, ambience, public facilities, lounging areas and access to an office center and Wi-Fi access [Score: 4.0 ]; 5) overall customer service - including but not limited to Hospitality, Support Services, Concierge knowledge, communication, attitude and demeanor of staff [Score: 4.0 ]; 6) quality, cleanliness, value, convenience, amenities (i.e., ironing board, iron, TV, charging access, phone, et.al.) and comfort of rooms, beds, room safe and/or valet services [Score: 3.5 ]; Taking all the aforementioned categories in a scale of 1 star to 5 stars with 1 being the worst and 5 being the best a hotel can be! This hotel rates a: 4.6. A well above average in our book! Most positive points at this hotel are: access to local activities, the downtown areas, overall cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere. Most negative points found here are: First: (and I must emphasize it was our second visit only) where someone in parking lot taking up 3 car spaces while fixing a vehicle up on jack stands during a full day, and late into the night. Second: Suite 106's floor appears not to have been mopped in forever! And third: Noisy folks in floor above us seemed to be jumping around til well after midnight - not making for a relaxing sleep. Don't get us wrong, we are still fans of the Pines. My price to value to overall assessment is good.
