    Geological wonder

Sedona AZ offers a wealth of opportunities to hike and experience the natural beauty of the American southwest. Myles and Misumi's Sedona Bear Lodge provides the ideal home base to enjoy the area. The hosts are generous with their knowledge of the available experiences better than any guidebook. The excellent breakfasts they serve put guests in the mood for adventure!

Amazing experience in this B&B. We stayed in the Indian Garden room, very clean and had everything we could ask for, also the balcony is a nice addition. Myles and Masumi are great hosts and they go above and beyond. Breakfast was phenomenal. A must stay when in Sedona.

Loved! Loved! Loved my stay at Sedona Bear Lodge Bed & Breakfast! Now this is the real deal if you plan to visit Sedona (and enjoy meeting others who you may or may not pass up in hallway OR at kitchen table). My first time visiting (Sedona and Bear Lodge) and it was fabulous. Myles is an awesome cook and he checks in with you the night before to verify your preferred breakfast time. Masume is always making sure any request or questions about the town or tours is promptly answered plus she has all the brochures and contacts at her fingertips; AND knows most of the businesses personally AND caters to anything you need. Atmosphere is clean, zen, water trickling in and around property to keep the mood chill. Do a retreat there, honeymoon, or vaca with the whole fam ....Such a nice change to do business with good people like Myles and Masumi....they actually care! I will be back and I cannot wait.

As we're cruising down the main street we passed The Inn Above Oak Creek and noticed they had a lit-up vacancy sign. We immediately went in and met with the inn keeper who offered to let us go see the room before we committed to booking. This is THE cutest little 13 room inn set right on Oak Creek. There is seating down by the creek, on the patio off the main room, and inside the main room itself that all have great views. Our room was very spacious with a 2-person sized bathtub and a fireplace! It had truly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. My husband was obsessed and wanting to know how we could copy it to have at home. Both of the inn managers were so kind and took such good care of us. You could feel how much they care for the inn and value their guests. There's always coffee and water set out. They have homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning. They have a bookshelf with various options for reading and a large selection of movies. On the coffee table, they have binders full of recommendations for trails and exploring the area. It was such a cute and intimate place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Sedona and I'd love to stay here again! We truly couldn't have found a better place to stay for Valentine's Day. It truly feels like a little hidden sanctuary tucked into the beauty of Sedona. The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are beautiful and lovingly cared for, the room was charming and comfortable, and the views were simply breathtaking. There is something about waking up surrounded by Sedona's red rocks and that incredible stillness that immediately makes you slow down and appreciate where you are. I especially loved how peaceful the entire property felt. It has so much more warmth and character than a typical hotel. It feels intimate, artistic, cozy, and almost like you've discovered a secret little oasis. And the breakfast was such a wonderful surprise! Having a beautiful breakfast in the morning made the whole experience feel even more special. The amenities, the surroundings, the views, and all of the thoughtful little details made it feel like a true getaway rather than simply somewhere to sleep. Sedona is already magical on its own, but staying at A Sunset Chateau added another layer to the experience. I left feeling genuinely grateful that I found this place. I would absolutely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere beautiful, peaceful, romantic, and full of Sedona charm. A true hidden gem. HORROR AT L'AUBERGE! 17 hours without a toilet!…read more My fiancé and I stayed there in late July of 2026. A few hours after check-in, we noticed that our toilet was not flushing properly, we called maintenance who quickly sent a technician to resolve the problem. With the toilet apparently fixed, my wife and I went out for dinner and a stroll around town. Upon our return to our room (3106), we noticed that the toilet was still not working and that a room change was probably in order. It was past 10:00 pm at that time, we were tired, so we decided to inform the front desk and deal with the problem in the morning and just go to sleep. That night we had to use the public resort restrooms and so the following morning, with the inconvenience that this implies. The following morning, we called the front desk to let them know that the toilet was still not working and that we wished to be transferred to a room with a working toilet. All we asked was for the same room class of better, which is customary in these situations. Front desk acknowledged our request and started working to "immediately transfer us to a different room". It's now 7:30 am and we still have not heard from the front desk, we go down to the Cress restaurant for breakfast, and we are informed that a suitable room has been found and that all it needs is the approval from the Director of Front office (Sarahlynn Huggins). We again use the public resort restrooms and return to our room awaiting an update. It's now 8:30 am and still no room and no working toilet. We call the front desk, and we are told that a different room has been found but that "unfortunately it is currently occupied by a guest", and that upon checkout & cleaning we can move into that room. Estimated time for this room to become available is between 12:00 and 1:00 pm. This is evidently not acceptable; we needed a room with a working toilet now. Finally, at 10:30 am, a room is being "inspected" after cleaning, and we are promised it will be ready in 20-30 minutes. We go to play pickleball and return an hour later. Still no room and now it will be another hour until is ready! The front desk manager (Sarahlynn Huggins) was extremely rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and unprepared. I requested the General Manager's contact information, which she initially refused to give me and offered the "rooms manager" instead. I insisted and then she proceeds to give me Anthony Loiacono's contact information as the GM. My wife does a quick LinkedIn search and realizes the terrible lie (Anthony is the rooms manager not the GM). At this point the conversation is over. I can deal with incompetence, a bad attitude, but I definitely can't deal with liars. I reluctantly take the downgraded room and move on. We had booked (and paid for) a Deluxe room with semi-private balcony and fireplace. We were placed instead in a tiny room (fishbowl) with lots of pedestrian traffic and zero privacy. No refund is offered by the hotel. I proceed to file a formal complaint and ask for a copy of it, she refuses, then I ask to take a picture of the complaint, and she refuses again. 17 hours later we have a working toilet. This whole interaction goes beyond poor customer service. This place simply fails to deliver the very basic standards of human decency and honesty. Needless to say, we won't stay there again. Enchantment, Ambiente or even Amara provide way better customer service than this place. The case is now in the hands of American Express, who has opened a formal investigation for breach of contract.

First off, the resort is lovely - we loved our room, the view from our balcony was beautiful & the pool was perfect. Second and even more importantly to me, the staff was top notch, professional & so very kind. Long story short, my kids and I experienced a fairly big hiccup during our trip. On the way to Meteor Crater, my car got a flat tire & I had no spare. This happened on the highway & it was hot. The towing company took about 3 hours to pick us up & tow us to a tire place in Flagstaff where it took another 3 hours to get my tire replaced. Needless to say, we missed our day at Meteor Crater AND I felt like a horrible mom for not having a spare. While we were waiting for the tire to get replaced, I called the resort to ask what time the pool closed that evening in hopes that we could get back in time to salvage the day, mentioning why we would be late coming back. When we finally got back to the resort that night we had missed the pool hours but the nice young lady at the front desk told me they would extend our check out the next day so we could swim. My kids were so happy & really enjoyed their time at the pool. The extra time had already started to help turn our trip around but then when I went to check out, I found out that the resort had gifted us our stay. I was shocked but even more than that, I was touched that they would even think to do that. Talk about going above and beyond. While the resort is beautiful & I would go back for that alone, it is the kindness and compassion from the team at The Wilde Resort & Spa that I will ALWAYS remember.
