The sunrise in the AM from the Red Rock Vista room.

We loved this hidden gem in Sedona and Grace is a wonderful host. She gave us tons of advice when we first arrived, recommended the best restaurants, gave us pamphlets of information and fed us very well! She even gave us snacks throughout the day for our long hikes, and day tours. The B&B is located about 15 mins south of the Uptown Sedona but we didn't mind at all. It really felt like we were in a secluded area. I would stay here again if I came to Sedona. We stayed in the winter season and got a lower rate that what is shown online. Make sure to ask on the phone when you call to reserve. She also has a senior discount if you qualify.

We stayed in the Kokopelli, as a guest of a friend, and boy we we lucky. It is the nicest, I think of all the rooms and it is at least 400$ plus per night, depending on when you go. The Kokopelli has a nice little sitting room along with the bedroom and includes a flat panel TV, a two-person Jacuzzi, which is just amazing and with separate shower. There is no closet so you are left with a European style clothes rack, which is just fine, unless you are staying more than a week. The balcony is the length of the entire room. There is beautiful Mexican furniture, tin mirrors, and pottery in the sitting room and in the bedroom. Out favorite spot was the balcony. The Penrose has American food. All dishes are great and made from scratch They even have candy for you in your room. The Penrose has 24/7 access to a free snack bar with pop corn, granola bars, nuts, and a variety of beverages. The staff which is wonderful can refer you to places for dinner or a fine lunch. The place is perfect. This will be a great once in a lifetime B&B for you. The staff is just so kind, the food is great, the place is spotless and there is so much to do nearby. You will love this place.

The cute little balcony boasts a wonderful view of the famous red rocks, and we spent every evening with a glass of something in hand, watching the light change as the sun went down. The two breakfasts we had were well presented and delicious, slightly unusual gourmet type fare. One of the mornings we had an early tour booked and left before breakfast was served. Our hosts left a fresh baked scone each for us to-go. It was a nice gesture, but if you do this, be aware if you prefer a hearty breakfast, the scone won't cut it. All in all we were very satisfied with our stay here. We felt welcomed and comfortable.

The breakfast was wonderful. Jamie, the hostess And the daughter of the owners, has to be one of the nicest people I've ever met. She recommended a great restaurant to us where she goes for her birthday and we went the last night we were there and it was lovely. We met her mom the morning before we left, Jen, who was just as lovely as her daughter. We were made to feel so welcome, more like family or personal friends than just "customers" We do plan on coming back and staying again. I can't think of anything that was lacking. Highly highly highly recommend.

The property is very clean with chill decor and a wonderful backyard area where you walk out & hike right from there. I've been waiting to post a review now for a few weeks to allow an outstanding issue to resolve…read moreitself but it has yet to, so here is my overdue review of our stay at Las Posadas. We booked a one night stay, just as quick overnight out of town (we live in Phoenix). We came up to hike and then headed to check in. When we arrived, we thought the property was charming. It had a nice relaxed vibe about it. It was also close though to restaurants, bars, shopping, and gyms to just walk to. When we checked in, the front desk woman Katherine said she had been up to our room a little while before we had arrived and it was "pretty warm", so she told us she turned the air on and it should be cooling down soon. Even though Sedona was having a heat wave, it wasn't that hot from what were used to in the valley. We went up to our room and "pretty warm" was an understatement; it was downright toasty! We closed all our curtains and blinds to help the room cool faster (even though it negated the "room with mountain views" selling point), but nothing was happening. After about an hour, the temperature just kept combining up. We called the front desk and they said they would send someone over. The first person came and stared at the panel for a few minutes, then left and said he was looking for batteries. Ok. Then, a second guy came and dismantled the panel and left. The first guy came back and was like "what happened here?" And we told them someone else came and took it apart. Then he pulled the entire unit off the fall and left. This revolving door of maintenance workers took about an hour. We were thinking of just going home because staying in the overheated room was not at appealing. We could sleep in 86 at home for free. Katherine told us to come to the lobby to cool off for a it, offered us a free bottle of wine or champagne, but we don't really drink. We were really tired for hiking all afternoon, but we said we'd go to dinner and come back and hopefully have some sort of option. Finally after a few hours they told us the cooling unit was frozen over from being overworked and we'd need to change rooms (not upgrade; we weren't asking for that). We had asked before and there weren't additional rooms, but something opened up. We were happy to move. There was a credit Katherine said she was going to take care of and not only was it not refunded, we were double charged instead and despite multiple calls after our stay, the issue is not resolved 6 weeks later. Anyway, when we got to our new room, it was much cooler luckily. Our bed was actually very comfortable and we were finally able to relax after a long, hot, and frustrating day. In the morning, my husband went for a hike with the pass he was able to check out from the front desk. When he got back, we went down to breakfast together which was said to be a "really nice, made to order breakfast". Who wouldn't want that? Well, that is definitely not what we got. There was one man working and doing everything by himself for a dining room full of people. We could feel the hangry tension as soon as we walked in. There was no hot water or coffee, no do it yourself toast options, no takeaway items, or anything. I had to go back to my room to use the coffee machine, our mugs and get water. This guy was trying his hardest but we just kept wondering why he was doing it alone, or why he couldn't put the bread and toaster and muffins out for people to just grab while they waited for their breakfast tacos. He didn't have a ticket system either or queue; just write it on scrap of paper. Several people left but we waited it out. Our breakfast tacos and muffins arrived and we looked at each other like you do when you eat at a friend's house and don't want to be rude, but also don't want to eat what's in front of you either. We tried to eat what we could and then took our dishes back to our room, then walked to Bosa across the street. We saw the AC repair truck had arrived too. We really wanted to like our stay at Las Posadas, but maybe we just caught them on an off weekend‍.

We booked Las Posadas of Sedona based on the website description calling it "a rare find within…read morewalking distance of restaurants, art galleries, hiking trails and golf courses." In our experience, that's misleading. The immediate area felt like strip malls, and we still had to drive to get to the Sedona we came for--real trails, views, and the Red Rock vibe. It was about a 20-minute drive from the parts of Sedona we actually wanted to spend time in. The rooms felt worn down (see pictures), and our check-in was late because the room wasn't ready. Staff were friendly, but the "upgrade" we were given was frustrating: we lost the views and the soaking tub we had specifically booked in our original room. Breakfast was basically on par with a Holiday Inn Express style breakfast, and the coffee was weak/lacking flavor--so we ended up going out for breakfast most days. Bottom line: friendly staff, but dated rooms, a misleading "walkable" claim, and a location that didn't feel like Sedona. We wouldn't stay here again--there are many better options in Uptown Sedona.

There is seating down by the creek, on the patio off the main room, and inside the main room itself that all have great views. Our room was very spacious with a 2-person sized bathtub and a fireplace! It had truly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in away from home. My husband was obsessed and wanting to know how we could copy it to have at home. Both of the inn managers were so kind and took such good care of us. You could feel how much they care for the inn and value their guests. There's always coffee and water set out. They have homemade cookies in the afternoon and homemade muffins in the morning. They have a bookshelf with various options for reading and a large selection of movies. On the coffee table, they have binders full of recommendations for trails and exploring the area. It was such a cute and intimate place to stay. I'd recommend it to anyone traveling to Sedona and I'd love to stay here again! We truly couldn't have found a better place to stay for Valentine's Day. There was construction across from our room so I'm assuming that's the reason the room didn't require many points. It was spacious with a fireplace, kitchenette, lovely decor, and a roomy bathroom with a separate shower. I absolutely loved our own private gas fire pit with chairs on our patio. Wishing we had ordered the s'mores kit from room service. The bed was heavenly to sleep on and everything was very clean. We visited the pool and hot tub during our stay. It was a little chilly so we didn't get into the pool. We were excited about the hot tub, but it wasn't actually very hot, which was a little disappointing. This resort is about 20 minutes from the main part of Sedona, which didn't really bother us, but we didn't realize it at first. It was also $25/night to park.
