This is probably my third time staying here. I'm in a 880 square-foot one bedroom. The grounds are beautiful as their situated on a golf course. It's a little outdated, but it's clean and it pays to have a full kitchen. My only beef really is the gym. It's important to me to work out on the property to save time. It's broken down and they haven't updated or fixed it in the three years I've been coming here. The condo is outdated for sure, But the room is comfortable and everything smells clean. I probably will come back for a longer stay and visit a gym in town. read more

This was a very comfortable stay in the Cottonwood area. Great location and close to downtown restaurants and grocery stores as well. Great if you are staying for several days as the kitchen has pretty much all you need to whip up some homemade meals. The large soaking tub is awesome but unfortunately the jets weren't working so that was a bummer and also there a flickering light in the bathroom that was annoying. The smell in the room was also a little questionable. Not sure if they use cleaners heavy in vinegar but it did have somewhat of a sour funky smell in the room. Carpets were stained pretty heavily as well. With these minor setbacks, it was still a great property and the pool area was nice I just wish they would skim the pool more as there were a bunch of dead bees floating around. Also the pool water is super salty as well too. It must be salt water and not chlorine but I've never seen water be so salty before. I know the review sounds overall negative but the convenience of the large room, great price, and wonderful location it definitely makes it worth it to stay here. read more

Convenient location; minutes from Cottonwood, Jerome, and Sedona. The condos are perfect and so much more comfortable than staying at a hotel. Private bedroom with king bed; bathroom is very large with a roomy shower, luxurious jacuzzi tub; kitchen has full sized oven, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, pots, pans, cooking and eating utensils. Amenities include pool, jacuzzi, gym and laundry facilities. Check-in was easy, staff is quite friendly. The price makes this a bargain. We will stay here again. read more

One of the nicest stays ever. This secluded yet accessible establishment allows you to drive short minutes to Sedona, Cottonwood or Clarkdale, and is highly enjoyable with its clean, well-appointed basics and welcome amenities - not to mention their welcoming and personable guest services staff. Whether for short or long stays, rooms are ample, clean with modern fridge, stoves, sinks, cabinets and eating utensils... comfortable beds, large windows and a good size balcony with table and chairs overlooking an immense patio offering gazebos, spa and multiple grills and seating area... not to mention a great firepit. Having opportunity to stay over many accommodations across and occasionally outside the country, and not a professional hotel reviewer, and not a regular business traveler, as a primarily pleasure and requirements traveler, I have developed what I believe is a concise system for grading the worthiness of each establishment experience. I must say, this is one of my top places to stay. Beautiful property, comfortable accommodation in a tent, food and hospitality were great.

What an amazing find!!! I booked last minute through AirB&B after an error that lead me to just book, without reading reviews or even looking at images. I just saw their high rating and booked. I had no idea that this was a timeshare that was being rented out by someone at a resort. I couldn't believe the price, and I haven't even gotten to the room or amenities yet. Or Elyse and the front desk employees that were completely friendly, kind, and accommodating... which in all honesty is the most important to me. The front staff had big smiles, radiating bright energy. It was a true delight to converse with them. I was then led into an office where I met Elyse. She asked why I was only staying one night and I told her about the AirB&B mistake, on my part, but the mistake still cost me a non-refundable $100 . But it was my error, so there was no one to blame but myself. So I took it with a grain of salt like I always do. Elyse immediately went into the mode of amazing manager, customer service, and over and beyond expectations accommodating manager that she is. She is a woman of true integrity and character, and it shows. She told me about a promotion going on where, if we went to a seminar and learn about timeshares, we would receive another free night. However, I was stuck in a non-refundable AirB&B and I had no option but to check out the next day. She was so kind, radiating with such warmth and bright light. She extended the free room for the day after our pre-reserved AirB&B reservation, which actually enabled us to stay another day and night in the Sedona area!! She extended our vacation by a whole day, and to my family and me, that meant the world. As if that wasn't enough, she gifted my family with a "Dream Vacay" for going to this seminar. I didn't believe her, asking her what was the catch, what did I have to do in order to receive this gift. She said absolutely nothing, just to attend the seminar with an open mind, and that she was happy to gift my family with a trip we normally wouldn't be able to take. I have never won or been gifted something so extraordinary in my life that I was so very grateful, but still even a little skeptical. My husband and I went to the seminar and the guy that lead the orientation was so awesome! Funny and energetic, he made it enjoyable to be there. Very explanatory and no-games, straightforward person. On top of that, they have AMAZINGLY PRICED packages for timeshares and guaranteed luxury-style living at affordable pricing. I had so much fun at the orientation, if I and my family had the money we would FOR SURE have purchased a package THAT DAY. But still, just for showing up, we got our gift. The gift I thought was too good to be true... and almost feel like I didn't deserve it just for showing up to a 90 min presentation! Now my family and I get to take a vacation we could only dream of, after staying in the first resort we've ever stayed at then literally, "winning the lottery" for our family. The owner of this establishment is amazing. Elyse, YOU are amazing. This experience was a dream that is still almost unable to process. All because of an Airbnb reservation mistake that cost me $100, we got way more than we could have ever expected! When we are ready in a year or two, we will most definitely be going with the Odenza Vacation Specialists. Thank you to everyone, especially Elyse. She has a heart of gold and an amazing spirit. Nice spacious. Clean. Love that they have laundry facility on site. Didn't get to check out the pool because it rained the days we were there with lightning and thunder. However the view from the pool is beautiful - over looking a hill side. We went in summer so it was monsoon season. If you have a kid that loves insect this is the place. Interestingly I found a variety of beetles of various colors ( gold, emerald) outside on property. Also they let you borrow a wide selection of movies to watch. 2 movies per night. TV in living room and bed room. We ate out so did not use kitchen too much but they have full size fridge and stove and everything. 20 min drive from Sedona and 10 min from cottonwood both where you can get some great food. read more

My family has been coming here every summer for 5 years. We absolutely love this hidden gem. It's quite great views. The kids love the pool and fireplace. Just a relaxing getaway! Disappointing. There is no house keeping whatsoever. If you want clean towels you have to ask every day for it. Do not bother to ask to have your room cleaned or your bed made or bathroom cleaned. They will not do it. You get one free movie a night. However, the DVR did not work. Even Motel six has better services. The rooms inside were nice. read more

We had a wonderful time here this last week. I will go over our complaints first. We were told we could possibly upgrade when making our reservation and found it to not be feasible because they say the property is so small they claim it to be full. However in walking around the property daily we saw numerous vacant rooms, including the one bedroom adjacent to ours. That didn't seem right, especially since we were willing to pay cash for the upgrade. Second complaint, on check in they sent us to a studio that was not clean. It was pretty gross to open the door to piles of trash and unmade bed with strewn towels, dishes and blankets all over. I'm glad the management takes the time to argue and defend my complaints but doesn't address this happening to us at all. We were immediately moved to another room and the kind receptionist explained in horror that it has never happened before and apologized profusely. Our room was cleaned once while we there and we pay a 'cleaning fee' for it on check out of 35 dollars, so I thought it a little tacky that the cleaning lady leaves you a tip envelope requesting a tip. I mean we tip anyway but it seemed a little off to me because we pay the fee and it was only a one time visit in a six day five night period. Whose tipping me for cleaning the rest of the time? Then there is no room to store your belongings in the studio. There is one closet, one empty dresser and the fridge. But if you have dry food storage or more than one person with you. Your belongings have no where to go. The couch bed, it's big, sleeps two people great but you would think that with the obvious money they invest here that mattress mats could be purchased to make them a little more comfy. We had a tuff time adding as many blankets as we could to cover up the springy thin couch mattress. Lastly, if you need coffee after the one bag provided for you (for a weeks time, it's the size for one day), they tell you they will charge you for it ?? Who does this? Anywhere we've traveled anywhere in the world, coffee has been complimentary. Coffee and filters have been provided at any other RCI property we have stayed at before. Positives are there too, the resort is really clean, exterior and interior, the staff are super friendly, the leisure and rec areas outside are fantastic, the kitchen is stocked with any utensil you could ever need for anything to cook or bake with, even a toaster oven, toaster and blender. Plenty of towels and wash cloths, bath amenities. They provide one load of laundry soap and dryer sheets. Laundry was free. The fitness room is nice. There are two different ping pong tables. There is a separate jacuzzi for adults that children are not allowed in. Even though we had numerous complaints above, we would stay here again because I think these things may be better next time. It's a great place in a perfect location to do and see so much in the area. I feel like the pros out weigh the cons. read more

Stayed here again last week and place was great as usual. The room was clean and well stocked. The bed is comfortable and the furnishings are modern. They have just added a new patio and BBQ area that was just behind our unit. It was very nice with comfy chairs and couches and had a fire pit. If only it had a gate from the patio of our unit to the area instead of having to walk around the building. We used the Jacuzzi a few times and it was wonderful looking out over the Golf Course. They offer a free laundry down by the pool area also. We will be going back again. read more

Please don't confuse this company with the one star yelp review for described telemarketing and "scam artists" called "Highland Resorts" not "Highlands Resort". Had to give five stars never stayed here just thought I would be furious to know that another company especially a "telemarketing ...etc" is using my company name or so close to it. Good luck "Highland's' Resort" and I'd go after "Highland Resorts" and maybe they will stop call calling me and everyone else, and I'm positive I'm on the National Do Not call list and they still called me, I will now have to spend more time to file a complaint witht the consumer.ftc.gov or the FTC for the calls. Oh' and I tried calling their company and they just say that they are sorry it must be their "foreigners" office in the Philippine's calling improperly. read more

The resort is clean and the rooms are well-appointed only problem is it is far away from everything if you desire a place like that you will have no problems with this Resort do not plan to have any nightlife or any on-site activities. We recently stayed the week at the resort and had a wonderful time. It is close enough to "town" to be convenient, but far enough away to be quite and serene. The property overall is well kept and clean. There are a few areas of construction where they are adding to the resort, but even those areas were fairly clean. The staff was friendly and vey helpful. Particularly their concierge Rebecca. She not only greeted us warmly and knew everything about the area (even which grocery stores and restaurants fit with our personal lifestyle or fresh and organic), but put on one of the best informational breakfasts I have ever attended. Most places barely have brochures available and maybe a short list of local restaurants, but Rebecca has experienced all of the activities and lives in the area and knows it well. The food at the breakfast was ok (eggs were a bit burned, but everything else was fine). Several business owners came by to give a short talk on their particular activity and then raffled off a small keepsake gift. The resort has networked with the community for special discounts. We took advantage of the golf course right on the property and had a lovely time, despite to 100 degree weather. The lady from the pro shop even loaned us a small cooler with ice to keep our waters cold while out on the course. That was so helpful! The 1 bedroom unit was comfortable and roomy. Nice flat screen TV's, Wi-Fi, updated kitchens, etc. we had a nice little patio outside the unit with table and chairs. There were a few small maintenance issues, but they came out and took care of them. The pool, fitness center, and laundry room were a real short walk from our door (yet no noise transfer back into our room). The laundry was clean and they didn't try to nickel and dime us for rolls of quarters (the machines were free). The pool area had a huge hot tub and outdoor seating area by a fireplace. After the long hot days exploring, it was quite refreshing (and towels at the pool too). They offered an RCI Timeshare presentation for 90 minutes in exchange for our choice of a long list of really great gifts. We decided on the Verde Canyon Railroad, which was amazing. They were friendly and took care of you (water and snacks) and didn't push too hard. I highly recommend this place if you want to relax and explore the Sedona area of Arizona. read more

I must say that I read the reviews on google and trip advisor and was worried about this resort. However it wasn't all that bad. Mind you I didn't attend their sales pitch but overall it was not a bad resort. The pool area with hot tub was very nice. The front desk workers were also nice and attentive. I didn't use the concierge so can't comment on that. The game room was less then desirable and totally not worth it. They do have a sister property named Sedona pines but after driving there to do mini golf.. Realized the mini golf was like 5 holes and so I left. Nice little resort but you will pay for cleaning and there is no housekeeping unless you are there for 5 or more days read more

After a great weekend celebrating our sons 12th birthday, we totally enjoyed our stay at this resort with all the amenities down to a garbage disposal in the sink. The CEO loved playing ping pong and swimming while we recommend the golf course. So peaceful with great views of the Verde Valley and weather to die for (was 70 when we came home today). Can't wait to go back and explore more of Arizona that makes the heat bearable. read more

I stayed here as a result of one of the tourist booth promotions in Sedona. We were offered a stay at the Highlands and helicopter ride for a very affordable price. In exchange for the deal, we sat through a 90 min timeshare presentation at their sister resort, Sedona Pines. We were a little skeptical since this place is part of the timeshare deal, but we were more than pleased with our experience. We stayed in a cute little studio that came with a kitchenette and dining room. The room was presented very well all the way down to the towels and napkins in a unique handmade design. There is a game room, fitness center, and a few pools. Although it isn't a 5 star resort, it is very nice and just far enough from the Sedona. read more

We recently stayed at this place to get away from the heat. The studio room is pretty cute and cozy. They maintain the place very clean. It is also located in a very nice and quiet area. There is not too many restaurants in the area to go to, but in our case we don't mind driving a little bit into town, or even to Flagstaff for more things to do. read more
