Our captain was amazing very helpful and informative. The crew was helpful and funny. The vibes were great. It was a sunset cruise even the captain was surprised to see dolphins. My kids had fun and it was the best experience they had in Kauai. We will definitely book a snorkel adventure for next time with the same company.

We had an absolutely incredible experience with Blue Dolphin Charters! From the moment we stepped on board, the crew operated like a well-oiled machine. They were organized, professional, and genuinely seemed to love what they do. We traveled the morning of July 9th (for credit to our crew). We did the breakfast/lunch snorkel and Nāpali coast catamaran. What stood out most was how well they cared for everyone on the boat. They were constantly checking in to make sure guests were comfortable, helping people safely up and down the stairs, serving food and drinks, and making the entire experience feel like an all-inclusive resort on the water. Every crew member was kind, upbeat, and made you feel like they were truly happy you were there. Our captain was fantastic--he was fun, knowledgeable, and full of interesting information about the Nā Pali Coast. We never felt rushed, and they even stopped so everyone could take photos of the breathtaking scenery. We traveled with our 15-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter, and both had an amazing time. There were also several younger children on board, and the crew was wonderful with them as well. The boat was clean, spacious, and easy to move around, which made the trip comfortable for everyone. The food was delicious, and the entire day exceeded our expectations. As if the stunning coastline wasn't enough, we were lucky enough to see two different pods of dolphins swimming alongside the boat--an unforgettable experience! The biggest compliment I can give? The next morning my 10-year-old daughter asked if we could book another trip because she loved it that much. If you're considering a Nā Pali Coast tour, don't hesitate--book with Blue Dolphin Charters. It was worth every penny, and the views are truly once-in-a-lifetime.

Enjoyed an awesome sunset dinner cruise with Blue Dolphin, complete with several close-up whale sightings and a couple dolphins spotted as well. Captain Kai was competent, informative, and very funny, as was crewmember Vayden, and Collin's mai tais are not to be missed. The food onboard was delicious and included traditional Hawaiian pulled pork and teriyaki chicken. Scrumptious cookies and bubbly rounded out the evening. Some things to be aware of: This cruise is on a catamaran; some of our party were expecting a small cruise ship that would have been a smoother ride. Waves are bumpy, and the windier parts of the trip resembled a mild roller coaster--if that's not your thing or you know you can experience some motion sickness, please factor that into your decision to book a trip. That being said, one person in our party experienced some light motion sickness and was really well cared for by the crew. We really appreciated their kindness and support. If you have sturdy sea legs and an adventurous spirit, I'd highly recommend this excursion. The views of Kauai from the ocean are worth it alone, but the information from the captain and crew about the island and its culture are also super valuable. The whole experience also felt very safe; the cruise will not go to areas with high wind/surf, and on our trip the captain explained why he was turning out of the wind/waves when he made that decision.

My husband and I did not have a great time, but not because the fault of the crew, but because we had really bad motion sickness! Along the way the ride was pretty smooth. Our captain, Kai, was giving all sorts of interesting facts about the island and coastline. My husband and I were good until we reached the Napali coast and the waves got too choppy for us. I guess we are especially prone to motion sickness even after taking Dramamine. The coast itself was beautiful. It was a nice clear day and we were able to see the ridges on the Napali coast. We were good long enough to take some pictures and then we got really sick. I think we made the mistake of sitting on the top of the boat rather than the bottom. We had booked the dinner cruise, but unfortunately were not able to keep anything down. We also missed the champagne toast. One crew member noticed how much we're struggling and made sure to keep a close eye on us. He offered us water and ice many times to help keep us hydrated. He even packed us a plate so we can take our dinner home. I think his name was Vayder. He was outstanding. We didn't have the best time, but a glass half full type of person. We saw the beautiful coastline and the crew was great (Kai, Vayder, and Collin). The Napali coast is not something you will see very often, so book the tour! Perhaps be a little more prepared for any motion sickness if are sensitive to it.

Fantastic whale watching with an attentive, relaxed crew We did the 2-hour whale watching cruise with Blue Dolphin Charters, and it was excellent. We saw multiple breaches, tail slaps, fluke dives, and surface activity--the whales were active the entire time. The crew positioned the boat so well that we were able to stay in one great viewing spot and still see everything without moving around. The crew was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. Drinks and snacks were always taken care of--Mai Tais, coconut cookies, and snacks kept coming--and it genuinely felt effortless to just relax and enjoy the experience. The team was knowledgeable, calm, and respectful of the whales, offering helpful context without over-talking. The boat was comfortable, well run, and the two-hour length felt just right. If whale watching is on your list in Kauaʻi, Blue Dolphin is an easy recommendation

Such an unforgettable NaPali Coast sunset dinner cruise! Fantastic weather with an EPIC sunset complete with the green flash!!! Dinner was delicious....pulled pork, teriyaki chicken, Caesar salad and rice. Chocolate chip or coconut cookies for dessert were also so good. Bottomless Mai Tais or beer or wine....I mean, WOO HOO! Dolphins were so fun and playful. The staff was great fun....Captain Kai, First mate, Lily and second mate, Davika, did a fantastic job taking care of everyone! We have done this cruise at least 7 times...every time we bring friends we tell them this is a MUST SEE....beautiful and majestic. Thank you all...we would definitely do it again and again and again!

Everything from stopping each time we saw a single dolphin, seeing a mother whale and her calf, to Darren making chicken sounds as loud as legally possible, it was by far and away the most unbelievable experience we could have had. As mentioned with every other 5 star review above and below, you couldn't paint better scenery along the Na Pali coast line, and getting within inches of schools of fish while snorkeling was surreal. The food was delicious and the drinks being served were excellent. This whole beautiful package was wrapped in a bow of spoken history of each significant location as told by Captain Elia. This was my first time even visiting the island and this is the main reason I am planning on returning, hopefully to the same crew, the same hospitality, food, and chicken sounds. Blue Dolphin Charters was the highlight of my sisters's birthday trip! We did the 5 hr snorkel raft tour and all I can say is how magical this experience was. Shout out to Captain Ruby and Lily.. they were top notch and made sure to take care of all our needs! Captain Ruby kept taking breaks to make sure we all felt comfortable and safe on our trip up there and Lily was our personal photographer / Ruby's right hand woman. We did the sunset cruise and we loved it! We got to see the mountains and enjoyed a good meal as well. Drinks were complimentary. My wife and I seeked out adventure whenever we could find the chance- be careful, you will get soaked!!! We did not see any dolphins but did see plenty of good views!! This was literally the highlight of our vacation. The staff made it amazing. From the captain to the safety engineer to our favorite the bartender! They made our excursion so worthwhile. I am not normally one to write reviews, but this one is definitely worth it. From making reservations to the very end, we were always given the most excellent customer service! Kai and Kealoha made the NaPali Coast Raft Adventure one to remember! They were very knowledgeable in sharing the history of certain parts of the island that we passed. They shared personal stories and made sure to interact with everyone on the raft, which made everyone feel comfortable. We always felt safe and knew that we were taken care of. My adult kids went to NaPali Coast last year for some snorkeling with Blue Dolphin. They loved the crew and the service provided. Today 08/19/22 we came back to Blue Dolphin for a NaPali Coast Sunset dinner boat ride. What an amazing experience from the time we checked-in to leaving the dock. Shout out to the crew led by Captain Chad and his members Rob and Brian. It wasn't a first class service, but a platinum service. Rob and Brian were non stop checking on the passengers. Unlimited drinks, delicious chicken teriyaki and Kalua pork dinner. Our cruise boat turned into a party boat and Cap played some great music. My family will be forever Blue Dolphin Charters Customer. During our time in Hawaii we were so glad we did this Whale Watching Tour. We were offered great service. Amazing views, we got to see whales, dolphins & sea turtles. We got offered snacks & drinks ( Mai Tai's & Seltzers). Good definitely recommend taking motion sickness pills, I don't usually get sea sick, however it was a very windy day and you could definitely feel the motion. We took Blue Dolphin out for the snorkel/Napali coast tour and has the most amazing day. The snorkel spot had tons of fish with great deep water visibility and we even swam near a turtle that came in. After snorkeling a pod of dolphins cruised over and swam in front of the boat for a while. The swell was getting too big so we had to turn around before seeing the whole coast, no harm done because on the way back we got to watch a humpback whale heat run! Would definitely go out with blue dolphin again. Captain Joe, Andy, JR, and Ronny were a fantastic crew as well. read more

Ok all I can say is save your money! The only good part was the staff. First off the boat seating is hard and uncomfortable (no pads) they give you one hour in the water and it was a horrible location to snorkel even with perfect weather the visibility was terrible. Bring your own food!! For $500 a couple they give you a cinnamon roll, and a cup of coffee. Total joke!! For lunch, they give you two choices a tiny wrapped turkey wrap. My girlfriends vegan, and they gave her a Wrapped bunch of cabbage with cheese. It was horrible. ! basically, a cattle boat with cheap food ! read more

We did a Na Pali coast dinner boat ride and absolutely had a blast!! Captain Nate, Nicole, and Sergio were super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable! Since it was whale season, we saw around a dozen of beautiful whales close by, which was an amazing highlight for an already memorable experience. The ride included a Hawaiian dinner (chicken/pork/rice/salad), cocktails/beer/wine/champagne, and sodas. A lot of people get seasick on an empty stomach so you may want to eat something before boarding, dinner was served after we saw Na Pali coast and on our way back. Overall, this was a 5 star experience and totally worth the money. 100% recommended for anyone visiting Kauai and want to see the beautiful coast and experience Kauai from a boat! read more

Absolutely beautiful scenery, the Napali coast is breath taking, however, I unfortunately have to give this tour 2/5 due to the following: 1. In the description the sunset tour said it was a Hawaiian styled buffet. This was definitely not the case. It was more like airport food and was not a buffet. My partner was very hungry and asked to have a bit more and was questioned whether or not he ate already then shamed for wanting more. 2. The bar tender serving at the back of the boat was very rude. I was met with attitude for asking for a beverage. It was bad enough that I did not feel comfortable asking for more for the remainder of the trip. 3. I emailed first to discuss the matters, then called to discuss the unprofessionalism before writing a review. it was not resolved. read more

My husband and I have now gone on two of the sunset snorkel and dinner cruises along the Napali Coast with Blue Dolphin Charters, and we've had an absolute blast both times. Our first dinner cruise was in 2019 during our honeymoon, where we met two other couples that were also on their honeymoon. We've stayed friends, and just returned to Kauai with one of the couples that we met on Blue Dolphin (July 2021)! The crew has always been amazing - so fun, helpful, positive, and just all around wonderful customer service. The snorkeling hour is fun, and the food is great (kalua pork and/or chicken, rice, salad, cookies). Each time we visit Kauai, we plan on this dinner sunset cruise with Blue Dolphin. Our family went on a morning tour of the Na'Pali coast and it was absolutely amazing. The crew was super friendly and attentive, we saw dolphins multiple times, and really enjoyed hearing some of the history of the islands on our cruise. The boat was very clean and in excellent condition and with plenty of guard rails so that I didn't have to worry about my kids (3 and 6) safety. The booking process was easy and we even received a discount for booking ahead online. I would highly recommend Blue Dolphin Charters. read more

On a wing and a prayer we booked a dinner cruise on Blue Dolphin. We knew nothing about them, except they had some good reviews. Let me tell you it was awesome! Captain Nate, Luke and Billy made the cruise safe, comfortable and fun. The scenery you see is just breathtaking. As a bonus we had multiple whale sightings, a couple were right up close. Oh, the sunset was amazing. The dinner is almost an afterthought. I would recommend the pork. Definitely a recommend. I would book with Blue Dolphin again, given the chance. read more

We had the perfect day with our dinner cruise sunset! We saw several whales and had a beautiful sunset. The crew (captain elia, Kevin, brian) was constantly walking around with snacks, drinks, and desserts. They checked on us several times and made sure we had the best possible time. Great experience with Naya and Luke! We had the most thrilling yet very safe experience with these two. They prepared us in person for how wild the ride could be. Naya ensured that we were all safe and accommodated for anybody who was feeling seasick. She was very personable, hospitable, and knowledgeable about the island. She was very attentive and was so fun and a great driver as well. Luke was knowledgeable about the weather and water conditions and made sure to inform us of the history of the Napali coast. Where to begin!? We just wrapped up a day on the Napali raft tour with Capt Matt and crew member/dive master Geoff. They were awesome, from start to finish. Such a memorable experience. This trip is not for the faint of heart - expect to finish with a few bumps and scratches. SO worth it!!! The best part - a whale spotting! Capt Matt spent a lot of time digging into the history of the coast throughout the tour, including Hollywood films and local/ancestor traditions. We learned a ton!! Such a wonderful tour! My friends and I did the rafting tour with JR and Luke as the crew. JR did a great job at making sure the boat was super fun but also safe. I would recommend doing this x1000 if you are in Kauai. I would say it is better to be on the water than the air if you're between the helicopter ride and this. We saw so much sea life! It is not a guarantee since it is nature but we did see dolphins, humpback, turtles and many different types of fish. JR and Luke thank you for an amazing time! Would recommend you guys to anyone! My favorite tour, we've taken it twice!! The first time was for our honeymoon and we were able to take our kids (5yr & 10 yr old) recently last week! The crew was super friendly and happy to do anything you requested. They served a yummy breakfast and lunch, plenty of drinks and mai tai's were flowing! Crew was super helpful and professional both my husband and my 5 year old son got sea sick and they were accommodating and tried to make them as comfortable as possible. Excellent experience. The crew (Ruby, Sam) were attentive, friendly, and happy to help. The captain (Cole) was informative and kept spirits up in between sightings. Saw a mother whale and calf! Price was $250 per person and we booked a couple days before the tour date. (we went at the end of March - the weather was fantastic and not too hot, also not raining). Although it was pricey, I felt like it was worth the experience and highly recommend anyone do a tour, even if it's not with this company. We got back to shore around 7-7:30pm, so total time was 5 hours ish. Pros: - the Na Pali coast is BEAUTIFUL - the views were truly a once in a life time experience for me and I saw the fullest rainbow I've ever seen - The tour guide was super informative, we learned a lot about whales, and they also taught us a lot about certain mountains and waterfalls that we passed on the Na Pali Coast (like where Kauai kings were buried). - We stopped to watch whales multiple times and it was really cool! - The 3 staff working on board the ship were extremely helpful in answering questions, providing drinks, and instructing people from a safety perspective - Safety - I felt very well taken care of the whole time. It's a barefoot cruise but people can choose to keep their shoes on if they want. They provided bags for people feeling nauseous and gave good advice when people were feeling seasick. - Food provided - it's not fine dining or anything (chicken teriyaki, salad, etc) but it does beat having to pack your own food or go hungry around dinner time. Also unlimited alcohol or nonalcoholic drinks. - The staff helped us take photos and there's a lot of great photo opportunities at the coast - Champagne toast at sunset, which was beautiful to watch out on the water - bathrooms available on board - My husband didn't feel like eating on board due to the motion sickness so they were kind enough to pack a to-go box for us! - Parking was easy and the meet up location was easy to find - we stood outside for most of the ride since it felt better than sitting inside, so we did get a bunch of sea-spray and got super wet from the 10 ft swells, but it felt really fun! Cons: - I think they need to put a huge disclaimer with statistics or something to show people how common it is for people to get seasick and vomit. I think maybe 5 people from our whole boat got really sick and either fell or vomited during the trip (can feel a little weird enjoying the beautiful view while someone smells like vomit next to you lol). They do tell you at the beginning that you can walk away and get a full refund after hearing the captain briefing during the meet up starting spot, but I don't think they really emphasize just how many people get sick. I personally felt fine but I felt really bad for people who had to gut through the five hour round trip feeling terrible. bring Dramamine!! This was definitely a highlight of my first time in Kauai, I wouldn't necessarily do it more than once due to the price, but it was a fantastic experience for the views!

DRAMAMINE, y'all…read more You're choosing to do the Na'Pali coast from the North Shore, which means smaller boats, and choppier waves. I took one Dramamine, the night before. Then another, an hour before our departure. AND THE BOAT RIDE WAS GREAT. I was all smiles and adventure and breathing -in the ocean air and wind! Unlike, a few folks, who were NOT doing so well. (One or two barfed over the side, but thankfully I didn't notice. Know how your body handles boats and waves. Don't do tours like this, without proper prep. It will NOT be fun if you underestimate it.) Check-In staff was super friendly, and personal. They remembered me from my original email. Sweet. Parking was easy. Shuttles team was super friendly. The strangers we rode with, all turned out to be cool. 2 boats go out (mini-catamarans, with cover from the sun). They expertly traverse the waves, and cliffs, and the caves, giving you some amazing first-hand visuals and photos. But yeah, that boat will be a rockin', during those up-close cave moments. Spoiler: You probably won't see whales, unless you're there before May. But we DID see a cute pod of Dolphins, who cozy'd up to our boat for a while. Our boat had Casey and Spencer. They were wise beyond their years, in all things Kauai. Funny and friendly. Spencer navigated the heck out of those waves, while Casey handled the nauseous passengers with MOTHERLY CARE. Spencer was 50/50 on allowing us to snorkel, based on conditions and a previous scare, a few weeks prior. But he ultimately made the call to GET IN THE WATER. He wisely kept us on a leash (not literally), whistling at swimmers when they got too close to a reef (with waves that could wash you onto the reef). It was fun and chill. Saw a HUGE, MASSIVE KING DADDY SEA TURTLE. He did not enjoy us as much as we enjoyed him and he bounced. Followed by a JR. Turtle, who stuck around a bit longer. Tons of fish. Spencer & Casey gave us good food and hike recommendations, and everyone treated us like friends / family. Highly recommend this team if you're going out. And you already know I highly recommend some Dramamine.

The tour itself was both breathtakingly beautiful and informative, with lots of great history and a thorough knowledge of the coast's features. We were able to get in close to the cliffs and even go into a couple of sea caves. On the way back -- a very bouncy and splashy affair in the best way for those of us who were adventurous enough to sit in the bow -- we stopped at Tunnels Beach to snorkel the outer reef, which was full of tropical fish and turtles. The tour included lunch and refreshments as well. Overall a great way to spend an afternoon -- definitely a 5-star experience. A word to the wise-- the northwest corner of Kaua'i is often rainy and can get a bit cold when the wind is up, so not a bad idea to bring something extra to throw on after you finish the snorkel and are heading back to port.

Our trip with Blue Dolphin Charters was hands-down one of the best experiences we had on Kauai! From the moment we walked through the doors and on board, it was clear that this crew (Captain J-sea, Vayden, Collin, Pa'a) truly loves what they do -- and that passion shines through in every detail. The entire charter team was born and raised on Kauai, and their knowledge of the island, its history, and culture made the tour so much more meaningful. As we cruised along the stunning Nā Pali Coast, they shared stories, legends, and insights that we would have never gotten from a guidebook -- it felt like we were seeing the island through the eyes of people who deeply care for it. We booked a sunset Napali Coast tour during our Kauai trip. Our crew for the evening were Captain Joe, Sully and Rob. Due to an earlier incident the day before where I got sick on a helicopter tour, I took Bonine for this trip, as recommended by the staff in the Blue Dolphin office. I also purchased some of the ginger candies available. We had a gorgeous evening for our cruise. Captain Joe managed to get really close to a waterfall coming off the cliffs so some people could get soaked (why you would want to was beyond me!). My husband and I spent as much time as we could right at the front of the boat, enjoying the ride. The tour was great! We did see a few whales, and Captain Joe slowed down/stopped the boat so we could watch them for a bit. His information about the island was interesting, although we couldn't hear all of it due to us being at the front of the boat. Our loss, not their fault. On the ride back, the ocean was quite a bit more choppy, and it was requested that we stay more in the back of the boat. Rob and Sully were great when people decided to get up, and helped everyone go up or down the stairs as needed. They kept us entertained. They also were willing to take numerous photos of everyone on board at different times during the cruise. We enjoyed the food, too. The worst part for me was when I needed to use the restroom in the bottom of the boat. Let's just say that I'm thankful I took some motion sickness pills and was on the upper decks for most of the cruise. **5 Stars Blue Dolphin Charters Exceeded Every Expectation** Captain Evan, Nicole (first mate), Bryan, and Cole made our Napali Coast trip absolutely incredible! Captain Evan's navigation skills were flawless. You could tell he really knows these waters. I spent time talking with him on the bridge and we exchanged great stories. He's a natural who knows the water incredibly well and is just very cool and capable. Nicole has special skills at proactively managing everything. She's one of those people who just stands out the moment you meet them. She knows exactly what to do before you even realize it needs doing. The entire crew was constantly checking on everyone, making sure we felt safe and taken care of. Bryan and Cole were giving 100% and were totally awesome too. With 50 people on board, I was amazed at how smoothly they all managed everything together. They're incredible communicators and really know how to read situations. Everyone did their job perfectly, and you could see they genuinely care about giving guests the best experience possible. The trip itself was magical. We saw waterfalls, dolphins, and sea turtles. The snorkeling was fantastic. They provided amazing lunch, snacks, drinks, and cookies throughout the day. The weather was perfect for us, but I could tell this crew would handle any conditions professionally. Their attention to safety never wavered while still making sure everyone had an amazing time. Kauai itself is a magnificent island, but Captain Chad and his crew (Matt and Peyton) really made this a unique and exquisite experience. Chad is native to the island and his knowledge reflects how much he loves Kauai and he really shares that love with the entire group. He was very interactive and has an amazing eye for wildlife. We were able to see a couple sea turtles, a couple mountain goats off the cliff, and were even able to see a pack of dolphins. He is also awesome at handling his boat, we were able to get close enough to stand under a waterfall and even take a picture near another. Once at the coast we had a nice dinner (caesar salad, pulled chicken, pork, pineapple, rice, bread, cookies) not to mention it was open bar the entire ride. There are also non alcoholic drinks for those who do not want (or cannot have) alcohol. Group size was about 30 people but there was a lot of room on the boat to move around and be comfortable (2 tier deck plus a cabin area). In terms of the restrooms, for a boat they were pretty clean and usable. And safety, they had enough life vests for everyone to grab two if they were ever needed. This is a must do for those who want to truly enjoy the Na Pali coast and I highly suggest requesting Chad by name if you book the Na Pali Sunset Dinner Cruise. PS. If you sit in the front, expect to get wet. read more

Captain and crew are always top notch! My husband and I go out with them all the time, and we're learning more and more and more about the island through their narratives. It really opens our eyes to all the hidden history and knowledge these guys have of this amazing island. The scuba instructors are always informative and keyed in on keeping us safe while making sure we enjoy ourselves underwater. The food is consistently fresh and there is enough variety to satisfy my vegetarian tastes between the fresh fruit and cinnamon rolls in the morning to the delectable potato salad and verge sandwiches for lunch (you get to make your own sandwich on the buffet). Even though we're starting to get a little tired of the same sandwich setup, for some reason we're always ravenous after our dives, so it is really great to have this food waiting! And the free alcohol :) These guys are great about making sure you have a cold beer or mai tai in hand! It's a rain or shine cruise, as we learned on our last adventure with blue dolphin. The rain made a lot of the waterfalls run along the na pali coast. One of the crew explained to us that since the water was diverted from the Alaka'i swamp, the waterfalls have stopped flowing. I did the Sunset Dinner Tour and it was the highlight of my trip to Kaua'i. You'll see a lot of people here giving 5 stars (myself included) and they are entirely accurate reviews. The Captain and crew were fun, smart, witty, knowledgeable and more than capable at navigating the tough waters. Captain Chad knows the ocean like the back of his hand, which made me feel very safe. His competence and skill allowed us to see and experience parts of the coast that most other companies avoid. The food was delicious. In contrast to the stellar reviews, I've read some of the negative ones. If you are considering Blue Dolphin Charters, you'll need to know these things before making a reservation in order to avoid any bad experiences: (1) from what I've been told, the water is even rough on the best and sunniest day along the Na Pali coast; (2) the weather on Kaua'i is unpredictable and moves fast; (3) Kaua'i, up in the mountains of Na Pali, is the wettest place on Earth, which means rain is a big probability; (4) this is NOT a fancy dinner cruise. Sea sickness is therefore a big probability, so is getting wet. I got a little sea sick and drenched to the bone, but you know what? I would do it all over again because those views are to die for. Joe, Danny and Lindsey were amazing hosts. We will always stick with this company when going to Kauai. My husband and I took our 5 1/2 year old son on the 2 hour Poipu whale watching sunset tour. All I can say is amazing! They keep their boat clean and clear. The crew were great with everyone, comical, extremely safe and accommodating. The moment you take off, they came around passing Mai Tais out and taking drink orders. The light snacks were quality and super tasty. We were surprised. The crew was amazing with our son and making sure he got a good seat and views. The experience with Blue Dolphin Charters definitely exceeded our expectations. Words cannot express what we saw, many whales and dolphins were out, but to experience it out and about leaves us simply speechless. Many of the tourists shared with us that they have been on many other tours and this was their best experience as well. Whatever this company is doing, please keep up the great job! We are already thinking about when to go back to Kauai and we are planning on doing a longer tour with Blue Dolphin for sure. Amazing Blue Dolphin Tour with the Best Crew - Ruby & Lily! We had the most unforgettable time on the Blue Dolphin tour along the breathtaking Nā Pali Coast in Hawaii! From start to finish, everything was smooth, fun, and full of good vibes - and that's all thanks to the incredible girl squad: Ruby and Lily. These two brought so much energy, knowledge, and laughter to the experience. They made everyone feel welcome and comfortable, whether it was your first time on the water or you're a seasoned traveler. Their enthusiasm was infectious - we were smiling the entire trip. This was such a fun experience but definitely not for the faint of heart. Our crew of Luke and Kai were spectacular. They were super knowledgeable, made it a point to check on each of the different parties (we had a couple of people who had sea sickness) and they made it a point to try to make them as comfortable as possible. Yes the waves were pretty EXCITING (as in 5-6ft swells) heading out, but Luke navigated it safely and beautifully and honestly all the wind and water splashing around in your face makes it all the more fun! The coast itself is so gorgeous AND the wildlife is plentiful. Literally saw a pod of dolphins maybe less than 30 minutes in, but we also saw tons of turtles, eagle spotted rays, and fishes. The only thing I might improve but I also understand why it was done was the lunch. The package mentioned sandwiches but we received a wrap (probably for convenience) but we have some picky eaters in our group and a wrap meant it was much harder for them to pick out the stuff they didn't want. However the chips, drinks, and cookies made up for it. read more

This whale watching tour exceeded all expectations from start to finish. We were lucky enough to see multiple whales up close, and Captain Cole's knowledge made the experience even more incredible. He shared fascinating facts about whale behavior and clearly knew exactly where to go--his experience really showed and made us feel confident and safe the entire time. The food on board was a wonderful bonus. Everything was fresh, tasty, and thoughtfully prepared, which made the trip even more enjoyable while we waited for sightings and took in the views. I was also very impressed with the cleanliness of the boat. We went out with NaPali Coast Raft Adventures, Captain Noheli and Crew Jacob. It was the absolute best ride we've had to date! No-No and Jacob were knowledgeable, professional and entertaining. We learned much about the history of Kauai, the costal original peoples as well as wave and tide information. We got to see a rip tide and Noheli showed us what a rip tide is and looks like as well how to survive one. It was fascinating. The spinner dolphins surrounded us at one point, and Noheli told us about them being asleep in the morning. He shared that they always buddy up for sleep so their brains can shut down. Actually, it's only half their brains and it's the inside half of the buddy system. Really cool! We were completely impressed with Captain Noheli's ability to maneuver through the many obstacles of weather and waves. We want to return during the summer so we can go ashore with him and have some lessons on the local customs. amazing.. simply amazing.. read more

What an experience!! I think it would be hard to argue that any boat ride up the Napali coast is going to be more spectacular than the next. Same island, same breath taking views, same ocean... What was exceptional about this blue dolphin tour was the quality of the people captaining/hosting this charter. Captain Danny and his crew where the exception! First off, holy they are fun!! And not like that annoying; "make everyone scream" but rather genuinely charming and humorous. They were constantly offering to take photos, handing out snacks/drinks and sharing info about the area. Captain Danny even shared with me a great spot to check out the massive swell making its way in this weekend. But you'll have to go on the tour for insider scoop like that! Thank you Blue Dolphin, Captain Danny, Mike and Q for a great tour!! PS, We saw so many whales!! I couldn't get a good shot but there were tons. What an amazing crew! We went out with Captain Christian, Mike and Cole. They combined beautiful views of the Na Pali coast, fun and entertainment, and guest safety all into a wonderful afternoon of delight. We took the dinner cruise, leaving the harbor about 2:30 or so, and returned to see the beautiful sunset. The views of the Na Pali coast cannot be described! Captain Chris kept us informed throughout our trip, Mike and Cole visited each and everyone on board, making sure we were having a good time and feeling ok, especially as the seas were a little rough. (Consider taking Bonine or Dramamine before going out) The crew offers Ginger Ale and pretzels as soon as we left the docks to help settle stomachs. Dinner was good and drinks were plenty once we turned around. An impromtu sing-along to the tunes playing onboard was headed by Cole, on our way home. What an amazing day! The weather was iffy and the ocean was starting to experience the first winter swells of the season, but it didn't take away from the wonderful day that we both had celebrating our birthdays. Matt, Ryan, Johnny, and Capt. Christian were so fun, hospitable and informative throughout the whole trip, that it didn't really matter that the conditions weren't the greatest. Matt was so friendly and we loved that he went around and visited and spent time with every group on the boat....and not to mention, he makes a pretty mean Mai Tai! Ryan made sure that we were safe in the water (we only snorkeled) and would try to point out different wildlife in the murky conditions. Great group of guys and I hope to see them again soon! This is the best way to explore the Na Pali coast in Kauai! WOW! Four of us spent the morning on the deluxe snorkel cruise. We had a blast snorkeling and taking in the scenery and marine life. Cole (captain) was hilarious and provided fun and informational commentary on what we were seeing. He even made the rules fun. Quite the feat! Two of the four of us ended up getting seasick about halfway into it but Stacey and Luke (crew) were PHENOMENAL!! They took care of our friends with ice water, napkins, and tips on how to beat the seasickness. They kept us all comfortable and laughing no matter our nausea level. When we returned, we all agreed that if we could just turn the boat around and do the tour again right then and there, we would. It was the best way to end our time in Kauai! My family and I booked the Deluxe Napali Coast Tour and Snorkeling. We started out on time with a brief safety session by Captain Chris and his crew members Dane and Kai. Shoes are not allowed unless they are boat shoes, so there is space to put them. I would recommend bringing a swimsuit, towel, and underwater camera as food (continental breakfast and sandwiches) and drinks are thoroughly provided. The trip was about 4.5 hours, and if you are prone to motion sickness, take a Dramamine the night before and one or two pills 1-2 hours before the tour. The two crew-members were very helpful, and they took any photos you wanted! They were very knowledgeable about the island and Niihau (the native-only island). Captain Chris was a thorough speaker, so be prepared for a lot of jokes. This boat tour was definitely worth it; the Napali Coast is truly a must-see for Kauai!! read more

Blue dolphin canceled trip yesterday due to a windy weather system causing unsafe swells- no problem, they called early am. Rescheduled to today, drove out, checked in, signed release, paid, reparked where they told us, waited with crowd, THEN they announced would not go to Na'apali due to 19 ft swells. The waves are supposed to be 12 ft. tomorrow and doubted they'd be able to make the trip tomorrow (they knew full well they couldn't today as this is all a result of same system and is dying down). Bet they'll book passengers and repeat the deception again. Real low class outfit manipulating customers for profits. The tour they wanted to switch to was $40 less but they weren't reducing charge. We wanted refund but since online thru THEIR website needed "processing time". My wife had to ask for a receipt indicating cancellation. Wow. read more

We enjoyed the dinner cruise (no snorkeling) up the Na Pali coast from Port Angeles. The captain was excellent as was the crew. They give amazing service and are extremely friendly. Whatever you want or need they are there to assist you. Food was very good and cocktails are endless if you want to go that route. The narration is very good also. The crew and captain are very knowledgeable about the area. They give you a lot of local knowledge and history on the way. We saw spinner dolphins, waterfalls, and water caves. The sunset was spectacular but not guaranteed. If you get sea sick, they are very helpful and don't make it a big deal. I wouldn't recommend it for very young children. It is a long boat ride and it's all about the view and the narration. Wonderful trip! read more

We had a blast on the Blue Dolphin catamaran yesterday. Even though the waves were pretty rough due to the trade winds, Captain Chad and his two mates, Nicole and Eoni (?) did a great job both with safety and fun. They were very attentive and generous with the free drinks and the dinner was very good. With COVID their jobs were even more complicated and difficult but they handled it with grace and humor. It was Chad's first trip out after being closed for 8 months and he went out of his way to make the voyage special, giving "insider" Kauai resident information and even brought the boat close enough to the cliffs for people to have the waterfall fall on them. We would heartily recommend Blue Dolphin and hopefully you will get the same crew we did. read more
