Also, he has to get someone else to calibrate the replacement transmission. After getting the vehicle back a month later, it starts making a whining noise. I read up and it says it possibly low transmission fluid. I check the dip stick and it doesn't even show up on the dip stick. I have to add 3 quarts of transmission fluid. A few days later, my AC does not work. I take it to another shop and they tell me carrier bearing housing is missing. Likely from when they replaced the transmission, they didn't put this back on. I would highly suggest not using this place.

The employees are all intelligent, professional and well trained. I have taken several vehicles to them for oil changes and for VA state inspections. I completely trust them with my 2004 BMW M3 and my wife's 2005 BMW 530i and our FJ Cruiser. I also take my motorcycles there for inspections. They are always very careful and thoughtful about the work they perform. Their prices are fair and reasonable and they work quickly. They do not use high pressure sales tactics (like other Salem oil change places) to sell new wipers, air filters, etc. I really like this shop and the friendly, honest people that work there.
