I waited, I even tried to wave down the other server. She just looked at me and walked away. She didn't even bother to tell my server that I was ready to order or that I needed something. Not only that, but the prices were pretty ridiculous. $18 for a simple Cuban sandwich? Not including something to drink? In the past several years it has been my go-to for great burgers and other food they offer, especially the burgers. My most recent visit was very disappointing as I ordered carryout for myself and my brother. He ordered the Ruben sandwich and I had the Jalapeno bacon burger. They were basically not even the full cheese curds, just little chunks here and there. What cheese curd I got was good, there just was hardly any of it. Let's face it. Poutine without cheese curds is just "gravy fries." Even though there was hardly any of the cheese, curds, overall, it was still a good meal. I left stuffed. We wanted to treat ourselves and orders the prime rib and the rib eye. Although the mashed potatoes were good, we were rather disappointed in the bland vegetables. They were truly a side dish, not given much thought or effort. Unfortunately the main event, the prime rib and rib eye were not seasoned at all (thankfully I thought ahead for the request of double onion and mushrooms). After trimming the excess fat from the end of the rib eye, the main portion was a good cut, well marbled and I was able to take it home, chop it up and season it for a yummy breakfast steak wrap for my husband. Honestly, we struggled to give the meal a 3 or 4 because the base skills were there and the server was so polite. It was a satisfying meal, but not one we would crave.
