Went to have supper and listen to the music. As soon as we were finished eating was given the bill and asked to leave table. We were told to sit by the fire pit where all the chairs were taken. Others didn't have to leave their seats immediately so I am unsure what the difference was, was it because we were two women? Others at the fire pit commented on the way we were hustled from our table, too. How are you supposed to listen to the music when you are hustled away so quickly? I asked for a couple more songs and was told there were people waiting for our table. My suggestion...get more tables. Won't be back and unless you are a large group drinking at a good clip, I suggest you don't either. read more

Ordered "crab cakes" - but not a trace of crabmeat, so sent them back. Also ordered the "pulled pork" sandwich that was more like seasoned pork chunks on a bun with a drizzle of bbq sauce. Cole slaw was the best of the sides (also ordered was mac salad and the tomato and cucumber (both meh). Had hea this place was to be sold, but apparently still running. Not the food from previous years, seems like they are trying to go cheaper, drunkin mushrooms are mostly batter with a sliver of mushroom, clam chowder waterly and tiny bits of clams, and I swear they don't even put any tequila in their margaritas. Service is good though read more

I would never recommend this place. We sat around for at least a half hour to be even waited on and then after we ate, we sat around for an hour to get the bill. We took out leftover containers that's soaked through the bottom within a half hour of taking them I would never ever go to this place again read more

The owner took my fish & fries takeout order, misunderstanding it due to a noisy background. She replaced it at my insistence with soggy fries and overcooked pieces of fish that must have come from the dregs of the fryer. Little fish and mostly crust (see photo). My husband and I decided to come here. I was with urgent care for a couple of hours. My stomach was so upset and I had a headache. My husband ordered a fish fry. I asked if I could order a grilled cheese sandwich. The server said no. She then asked the boss and her answer to us was an absolute no. They don't make enough money on it. So I backed off. What a way to lose customers! We live on the lake and I'll tell my neighbors that I was refused a grilled sandwich. Which was a kids meal. The server was sweet but not sweet enough to help my upset stomach and my husband said his fish fry was extremely greasy And we ordered clam chowder which was below acceptable. We made our first visit on a Sunday, and it won't be our last. Hubby had Chicken Parm and I had Chicken French, both were delicious, and we appreciated the portion size. Our server was attentive and friendly. We sat inside but we peeked outside to get a look at the seating area, and we were surprised by how big it was. There was a large, covered area with plenty of seating and another area where you could enjoy the sun if you like, and apparently live music was coming on later. Decided to try the Eastside Grill &Pub because of the good reviews. Well we wanted to try the Cubano and Boom Boom shrimp and were we surprised. The description of the Cubano said it was on a " pressed toasted roll" but I got a "Hot Dog" roll and the leftovers of pork! Next were the Boom Boom shrimp but the were" Bad Bad Shrimp", small over cooked hard shrimp splashed with a sauce. The picture shown to us by the waitress showed a mounded portion but what we got looked like a few of the leftovers. The ambiance was what you would expect and the waitress was very attentive. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant! I never thought I'd write a review on a restaurant but I feel it is my responsibility to warn people about the atrocities I just experienced at the "eastside grill and bar". Unfortunately a few of the girls in this establishment were very nasty to my companions and myself, went out of their way to make us feel uncomfortable and harassed us when it was time to leave. If you'd like to enjoy a pleasant meal with your friends and family I would highly suggest visiting any of the other restaurants on that strip. Great Service but when the food came that was it. Large salad was filled with soggy spinach. Told waitress and she said she would tell kitchen. You would think a manager would come see !! We got takeout food so I know it is compromised however.....Irish egg rolls were obviously not homemade like they used to be - frozen and deep fried-- all dough- hardly any cabbage or corned beef----VERY DISAPPOINTING! The chicken fingers for my granddaughter were so over cooked she (a three year old) said " these are burnt - yuck!" The French fries were obviously in under hot grease because that's all you tasted was GREASE. The New England clam chowder was "overwhelmed with milk only" as said by my 81 year old father which was disappointing as that is all he really wanted to eat. I was so very disappointed as I have eaten here before and not had such terrible food. I gave a $15 tip because they were busy but wouldn't have if I ate my food first. Sorry but sometimes you need to know so you can make positive changes. Don't skimp to generate more business. Your service and food a year ago was much better. read more

A short drive down the east side of Canandaigua Lake near the Crystal Beach FD. Spacious patio area outside, including some protected seating (in case of rain!) Between covid and a late-night fire, they're had their challenges. Re-opened with most of the previous staff, and my friend and I enjoyed our meals AND the live music on a Thursday night. She had the eggplant parm, and loved it - not soggy, full of flavor, with excellent sauce. My shrimp po'boy was chock full of shrimp and a spicy sauce that was perfect! Inside bar was expanded somewhat after the renovations, and they have a back room for a more private dining experience. If you haven't visited yet, now's the time to go!! read more

I have dined- in prior to Covid & have had several fish fries since Mar. The folks and service has been good but I am sorry to report after two fish fries that were overcooked with aged soggy fries, we will not be returning. The first time I called just to tell them about the quality & was challenged about my complaint. "Another customer just told me the the best fish fry ever" so how could mine be poor? Absolutely the worst food and service we have ever had. The Chicken Parm was dried out and burned, the Fish Sandwiches were soggy and barely warm, French Fries were cold and old, Macaroni and Cheese was so watery it looked like soup and the Corned Beef on the Reuben was dried out. The only reason we tried this place was because of a review from "Eat Drink and be Murphy" we will never trust reviews from the Messenger Post again. Took a family group for the advertised Forth of July Buffet. On line menu listed hot dogs as menu item. When we arrived, we found no hot dogs but fancy sausages stuffed with jalapenos! The kids with us were quite disappointed! Whats' Forth of July without hot dogs, it's Un-American! Also disappointed that the salad had croutons in the salad instead of on the side, causing the folks with Gluten issues not being able to eat the salad. Suggestions to always put Gluten products on the side please. The chicken and ribs were moist and good. The other menu items on the buffet were alright. The restaurant is not really near the lake and many trees block the view of the lake. But it was open for the holiday and the wait staff are attentive. read more

This restaurant is near our home. They have live music that is not too loud so you can hear at the dinner table. First visit, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. Spaghetti was over cooked. Four small meatballs were rock hard. Sauce was good. I had a Knob Creek bourbon manhattan. It was $12.60, a bit pricey. Second visit, I ordered the haddock fish fry on Saturday. It was a few small pieces of haddock and fries in a basket. All were overcooked, hard and greasy. I prefer to eat off a plate, not a plastic basket with paper. Third visit on Friday, I ordered the calamari appetizer and haddock fish fry. Both were great. I had a glass of Cabernet for $5.00, a much better value. read more

Locals have been raving about the food, so I stopped by tonight, more to just grab a beverage and see how the former 'Captain Yogi's' was faring. Many of the old charms still, patio and indoor seating, with many upgrades. LOTS of parking, a plus in the Crystal Beach area. Had a cup of an amazing NE clam chowder; and am looking forward to checking out the variety of dishes - shrimp scampi, beet salad, and not one but TWO choices of veggie burgers (offered if you want a non-meat option for what looks to be an above average burger menu). Place was busy and lots of great people making sure they were well-fed and happy. Shannon and LeEtta behind the bar made the visit worth the 4 mile drive south. (from the Lakeshore intersection). We live 3 miles away, but somehow had dropped in. Our first experience there was extremely pleasant. Friendly waitstaff. Options for sitting inside or outside. We sat at the bar, had a couple of excellent cocktails, and an unusual but very freshly prepared and tasty appetizer. We look forward to going back soon! Food was great service was great. They state they are dog friendly and I was asked to put my dogs in the car because other dogs showed up and my puppy was barking. If my child was crying would I be asked to put them in the car??Easy way to ruin a great day. read more
