I don't know how this place has a decent rating. Do not order it's disgusting and not real Chinese food. We ordered carry out and the only thing I will say is the food was packaged well and temp was hot. Nothing was cold! We got the chicken Kong pao which was insanely bizarre and not what I've ever had it was 90% celery. Wtf? And a few green peppers. Their sauce was bizarre too. The drunken noodles had zero flavor. Last item we got was chicken pad thai the color of the noodles was white and zero sauce added it was the most disappointing meal ever. I prefer McDonald's over this place! read more

Blue Fish is a solid spot for sushi. They have other main entrees that are chinese and thai fusion. I opted for the Salmon Donburi which has eight pieces of Salmon Sashimi topped with Salmon Roe on top of rice. It also came with a side of raw squid in a wasabi/soy sauce on top of seaweed salad. Of course wasabi and ginger were provided. My only feedback was that the rice was a little dry but that's just my preference - otherwise the dish was delicious and fresh. I ordered the house sake which came out hot so be careful when pouring it out. It was enough for four glasses worth. I also opted for the seasonal Pandan Creme Brulee which was delicious. It's a dessert big enough for two people. We came around 3 PM and it wasn't too busy, but the manager was working to train the servers and helping to educate them on the ingredients used in some of their dishes. An example was lemongrass and how it has anti inflammatory properties, but I think more importantly it's good to educate the Ocean City local community on what it is and how it tastes. I'm not from the area, but being around local asian food, it would be great to see more introduced here. Anyone looking for other options besides overly fried food or steamed crabs, this is a nice place for alternative food options. I alerted the server immediately, as I had nearly ingested it. The item was replaced, but the response felt minimal with no real apology or concern for the seriousness of the situation. There was no offer of a discount or any formal acknowledgment beyond a quick remake. My wife and I ultimately chose not to eat the replacement meal. Fortunately, they have outdoor benches for those waiting, and parking was ample. The service was excellent--everything arrived promptly and was beautifully plated. The menu featured fresh ingredients, well-balanced dishes, and plenty of options to choose from. I ordered wonton soup, a Maryland roll, chicken fried rice with generous portions of protein, and mochi for dessert. Everything was tasty, though I wish the crab and cream cheese in the Maryland roll were separated--the texture was more like a tuna salad, which wasn't my favorite. Seeing the fresh crab meat separate from the cream cheese would've been preferred. I will say - I am not a sushi connoisseur. I also tried a piece of the Hawaiian roll, which was a sweet treat with shaved coconut and mango slices--almost like having dessert early! It is very popular as there's not a ton of gourmet Asian/sushi options in OCMD. There menu hovers around Japanese, Chinese, and Thai dishes. We went with some sushi and a hot & spicy chicken dish, and some lo mein. It's overpriced, but very tasty. Kids (two boys) keep talking about Blue Fish as their favorite restaurant (disclaimer, they say this about a lot of restaurants that they try for the first time, but Blue Fish is a recurring mention). We had the shrimp shumai which weren't very flavorful and the wrapper was pretty chewy. We also ordered a roll each. I got a spicy tuna which came out super red but wasn't very spicy. My friend ordered the shrimp tempura roll and her shrimp were very over cooked which made them hard. Lastly, we ordered the Thai chicken curry which was lightly flavored. As you got closer to the bottom of the bowl, it tasted more peanut buttery. All and all, I'd come back and try some other things. This was my second time at Blue Fish. My first was great, but this time was completely different. The restaurant was chaotic with people running around everywhere and no crowd management. The seats were not comfortable and service was sporadic. The pork dumplings were the best thing we ordered. The sushi rolls were large, but not the best and were very pricey. The pad Thai was a major let down, it seemed more like a ramen and was really soupy. The sesame chicken was drenched in sauce and the rice was cold. I would not recommend coming here, there are plenty of other great Asian restaurants in OC that are more affordable and offer better cuisine. read more

My friend and I dined here today for lunch. The interior was decorated nicely and server was very nice. We started with green tea which was very good. The veggie spring rolls were crunchy and fresh. It was served with two sauces, one of which was SO spicy it literally took my breath away. Indeed the Kani salad with avocado and I didn't care for it. It was drenched in mayo. They didn't have soup because their warmer was down. My friend had a sweet potato roll (excellent), danger roll (excellent), and a kato roll. I had the sashimi appetizer which came with 6 pieces of fish. They were very thick and fresh. They served it on an art display basically. Blue Fish was a phenomenal meal! My husband ordered it through Door Dash since our baby was down for the night. We are so looking forward to dining in soon, though! The sweet potato roll is the best sweet potato roll I've ever had, and I order them everywhere! I also order a lot of spicy tuna rolls, and Blue Fish's actually has a decent amount of heat to it! The shrimp tempura roll, egg rolls, and combo fried rice were all great, too. Lastly, I'll echo what others have said about presentation -- even with delivery, the food looked gorgeous. This summer was the first time k tried their takeout option. Super easy to place the order online and very convenient that you go through a drive thru to pick up your order. The packaging for the to-go food blew me away. I have ordered takeout sushi multiple times where they have just thrown rolls in a box and it has been falling apart. Honestly, I was surprised at how awesome this place was. Every part of our experience was beyond my expectations: food? Amazing, service? Above and beyond! We were sat right away when we went in with a group of 5 for lunch. They have a large amount of indoor and outdoor seating, so it's really easy to get what you want. The place wasn't so busy when we arrived, but there was a trickle after - I assume it's because we went around 1pm on a weekday. Our server, Ken, was really attentive - always coming by to help us and see if we needed anything. Amazing service from him! The food was delicious too - beyond what I was expecting from the area. All of the fish was super fresh and there were generous portions of it in each sushi roll. Additionally, they were much more traditional with the amount of rice per sushi roll, meaning you didn't get full on just rice! Perfect! I also recommend their spider roll, the soft shell crab inside was perfectly prepared and fried, I could've just eaten 3 rolls of that. We all got a bunch of different sushi, sashimi and rolls and split it. The tuna was definitely my favorite, my sister preferred the salmon and my brother ate everything in sight happily. We went through a few different sale bottles, our waitress was able to pick out a few that would match best with what we ordered and they matched perfectly! We were in the mood for Sushi, but in December with dogs we looked for good takeout... Blue Fish delivered (not literally we picked it up) the food was outstanding! We had the Dinosaur Egg, yellow tail jalapeño roll, spicy tuna roll and a few more pieces of sushi. All were fresh and delicious. Even the presentation was stellar. Sometimes takeout boxes detract from the view, not here!! We tried the spicy crispy beef, lo mein and beef drunken noodles. All excellent. Too good to get pictured as they were gone too fast. The only thing I would say is if you like spice ask for it with the drunken noodles. Or do like I did and add some of their homemade chili oil! Be sure to get the crispy noddles and duck sauce too.
