An adorable sushi restaurant that my daughter found online based on reviews. The decor is tasteful and the space is bright. There is ample parking. (Don't let surrounding shopping center distract you- this is a hidden gem). There is music in the background, soft, not distracting. Our server, Ken, was super attentive. My friend and I dined here today for lunch. The interior was decorated nicely and server was very nice. We started with green tea which was very good. The veggie spring rolls were crunchy and fresh. It was served with two sauces, one of which was SO spicy it literally took my breath away. Indeed the Kani salad with avocado and I didn't care for it. It was drenched in mayo. They didn't have soup because their warmer was down. My friend had a sweet potato roll (excellent), danger roll (excellent), and a kato roll. I had the sashimi appetizer which came with 6 pieces of fish. They were very thick and fresh. They served it on an art display basically. Blue Fish was a phenomenal meal! My husband ordered it through Door Dash since our baby was down for the night. We are so looking forward to dining in soon, though! The sweet potato roll is the best sweet potato roll I've ever had, and I order them everywhere! I also order a lot of spicy tuna rolls, and Blue Fish's actually has a decent amount of heat to it! The shrimp tempura roll, egg rolls, and combo fried rice were all great, too. Lastly, I'll echo what others have said about presentation -- even with delivery, the food looked gorgeous. Egg roll - could be a bit better. Not a whole lot of flavor but not the worst. Beef on a stick - DELICIOUS! A definite must have for me! So tender and juicy! Comes with 4 skewers. You may need to order 2 because they are so good! Edamame - fresh and delish Cheese Wonton - so yummy! Has a little crab in it so it's not overpowering or fishy. Just the way I like it! Hawaiian Roll - INCREDIBLE! Large portion and absolutely scrumptious! Another fave of mine! The coconut shrimp is so flavorful and the mango on top just compliments it so well. I'm from NYC so I have a very high standards for sushi. This place did not disappoint while we here on vacation. Everything was insanely fresh, and tasted amazing! We all got a bunch of different sushi, sashimi and rolls and split it. The tuna was definitely my favorite, my sister preferred the salmon and my brother ate everything in sight happily. We went through a few different sale bottles, our waitress was able to pick out a few that would match best with what we ordered and they matched perfectly! Honestly, I was surprised at how awesome this place was. Every part of our experience was beyond my expectations: food? Amazing, service? Above and beyond! We were sat right away when we went in with a group of 5 for lunch. They have a large amount of indoor and outdoor seating, so it's really easy to get what you want. The place wasn't so busy when we arrived, but there was a trickle after - I assume it's because we went around 1pm on a weekday. Our server, Ken, was really attentive - always coming by to help us and see if we needed anything. Amazing service from him! The food was delicious too - beyond what I was expecting from the area. All of the fish was super fresh and there were generous portions of it in each sushi roll. Additionally, they were much more traditional with the amount of rice per sushi roll, meaning you didn't get full on just rice! Perfect! I also recommend their spider roll, the soft shell crab inside was perfectly prepared and fried, I could've just eaten 3 rolls of that. This summer was the first time k tried their takeout option. Super easy to place the order online and very convenient that you go through a drive thru to pick up your order. The packaging for the to-go food blew me away. I have ordered takeout sushi multiple times where they have just thrown rolls in a box and it has been falling apart. We were in the mood for Sushi, but in December with dogs we looked for good takeout... Blue Fish delivered (not literally we picked it up) the food was outstanding! We had the Dinosaur Egg, yellow tail jalapeño roll, spicy tuna roll and a few more pieces of sushi. All were fresh and delicious. Even the presentation was stellar. Sometimes takeout boxes detract from the view, not here!! We tried the spicy crispy beef, lo mein and beef drunken noodles. All excellent. Too good to get pictured as they were gone too fast. The only thing I would say is if you like spice ask for it with the drunken noodles. Or do like I did and add some of their homemade chili oil! Be sure to get the crispy noddles and duck sauce too. As promised, we stopped by Blue Fish for another meal while visiting OC for a long weekend. We stayed at the 9400, which is right across the street. The restaurant was very busy for Saturday evening. They were hosting a small wedding reception in the outside patio area. Blue Fish doesn't accept reservations but we were able to get seating after a short wait. The staff was pleasant and friendly. For starters, we ordered the Lobster Roll, the Kato Roll, and the Shrimp Tempura Roll. The sushi was fresh and delicious. Our new favorite is the Mega Lobster Roll. For entrees we ordered our usual Beed Drunken Noodles, Spicy Shredded Beef, and General Tso's Chicken. Again, the food was spot on. The dishes were flavorful. The General Tso's Chicken and Shredded Beef were crispy and perfectly tangy. Highly recommend this place. You won't find a better restaurant offering Asian cuisine in the OC. read more

I wanted to try this restaurant for sushi after reading good reviews. The ambiance was cute including a nice outdoor patio. I got the shrimp tempura roll and although the presentation was great I unfortunately didn't particularly enjoy it as the shrimp appeared over cooked and it was very hard and chewy. My friend did however enjoy her spicy tuna roll! We also got the shumai appetizer which had a great texture but wasn't very flavorful. I did enjoy the yellow curry though. I would give this restaurant another chance in hopes that I just got a bad batch of shrimp. Our service was quick but there were only a few other people in the restaurant. read more

Visiting town for the week of my daughter's birthday. She loves sushi so we have this place a shot based on reviews. (Thank you fellow Yelpers!). When we walked in we were asked to scan a QR code to request a table. Once registered, we were able to track the number of parties ahead of us. While registering, we were also able to indicate our daughter's allergies. We were seated quickly at a nice table outside. When our server, Ken, greeted us, he already knew about the allergies. He was very attentive and brought chopstick grips for the kids. Our party of 6 tried a variety of rolls, sushi, edamame and General Tso's tofu (that was my order and it was delicious). We ordered sushi and house lo mein for dinner today and I am blown away by how delicious everything was. The lo mein was full of flavor with lots of shrimp, chicken, and veggies packed in there. I got 2 of the specialty sushi rolls which were both 10/10 - red dragon roll and the Hawaiian roll. Got a side of spicy mayo too which made it all even more perfect. The Mango Shrimp was perfectly cooked, shrimp were hot and tasty with a very light batter, and the sauce was perfect. The Hawaiian Roll is one of my favorites, tempura coconut shrimp with cream cheese, avocado, topped with coconut and a mango sauce. The food was rushed out to us and unfortunately it was not cooked, I had Chicken Broccoli and the broccoli was raw and the chicken on the edge of raw, another dish was general Tsos and the chicken was cool, this is the third time, I don't mind waiting for a few minutes for quality food but a $90 bill with tip and two of the three meals where undercooked. It got better from there because the server was very efficient and worked really hard because it was in season. Some might say it's a bit expensive but in Ocean City you know you're going to pay more and nothing about the visit disappointed so highly recommend.
