This place has super friendly bartenders! Big shout out to Amanda, but everyone truly was awesome. The menu has a nice selection of traditional bar fare with Greek influence thrown in which is a nice add! One of the recommended dishes was the Chicken Souvlaki and it was a big portion of grilled chicken and veggies, Greek salad, rice and delicious yogurt sauce. The Fish and Chips came out nice and temperature hot, it was a good portion. For two people, sharing both dishes was definitely enough! This was my third time into Blue Hawk. The first time we were waited on by Steve and the second time by Tim. These guys were great! Great service and great friendly personalities. Tim was working a busy bar and tables in the dining area and still provided great service. However, my third visit not so great. Walked in for breakfast with my family on a Sunday morning. Attitude from the bartender, sat down and never received service. Never approached the table, offered a drink or menu. Walked out. Maybe because we weren't gaming at the bar. I was looking for bars in the immediate area and came across Blue Hawk. This place had me fooled. It looked brand new not only outside but inside as well. When i inquired, I was told it has been around for 14 years. The atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. I just wanted to have some drinks and watch hockey. They bartender had no problem turning it on hockey for us. Afterwards i monopolized the jukebox and played some slots. No luck at all on their machine, but i had a hell of a time listening to music and hanging out there. It looked like they had a great menu, i only tried an appetizer platter which was mediocre. I have been passing this place for years and finally decided to stop in last night. The tavern has been here since Las Vegas Blvd. was nothing more than a 2 Lane Rd. in the desert and there are no houses around here at all. I've often wondered how the place even stays in business because of all these years and driving past the place there's never anybody here. The service was good, the Night Shift bartender was very friendly, and we had a few appetizers which were pretty good. The interior has just been renovated they have pool tables and it's very nice inside. If you're ever in the area stop by and check it out. My only suggestion for the owners would be to make the place look brighter on the outside. The exterior of the building itself has no lighting and the parking lot is pitch black, one of the girls we was with she was kind of nervous even going into the parking lot because it's so dark. Take a hint from other bars I have the exterior building walls lit up very bright in the parking lots are a lit up like a football field that's what you want to attract customers. read more

If you ever read my reviews, I'm always looking for a hidden gem! I definitely found one today! I was looking for something to eat. I was driving down Las Vegas Blvd. (when I'm by myself, I normally look for hours before deciding on something. Normally, I end up going home) I was going to turn around once I got to the M. I needed to stop to fix something on my phone. I saw a parking lot and pulled over. I noticed it was a bar in the middle of nothing. So, I decided to go in. I was very impressed by how nice the exterior and interior of the bar looked! Definitely a great place for Knights games as it's all geared up! The service was amazing. The young lady working the bar was friendly, offered a menu, and was very attentive throughout my entire visit! The food is fairly priced, considering the portions. I was impressed to see Mediterranean options on a bar menu. I ordered the Gyro which was spot on! Next time I go I want to try the Dolmas! The Feta fries also sounds amazing! The bathroom was spacious and very clean! The only thing I'd charge is putting a barrier between urinals. I normally order what I like and don't really look at prices. When I got my bill, I was surprised at how low it was. This is one of those old school Vegas Bars, that you can go to after work, grab a great meal, have a few drinks, unwind, and not break the bank! For those who are gamers, they have a great selection including blackjack on their machines. I saw a few people hit taxables. If you're staying on the strip, it's not very far. I am a regular at this bar and we were here last night and there were 3 ladies at the bar that were complaining because their favorite bartender was on vacation. Also, one of the ladies thought it was a good idea to walk in this bar with a clear plastic cup full of her own outside wine. If this was "her town" (as she said in her comment) she would know that, that is not permitted and is disrespectful to "her town" and all bars, I mean seriously, act like you've been somewhere before. If you only like one bartender in a bar and they aren't there and you aren't willing to meet someone new then just go home or to another bar instead of ruining the vibe for everyone else. Steve is an amazing bartender and always takes care of us. He is always in a great mood and has good stories. The owner made a great decision when she hired him and we have known him since he started. It is always freshly prepared and is oh so tasty. Another fave is the Greek fries and have them add Gyro meat Staff is very friendly and prompt on keeping the cold beer coming.
