I went back for the reopening party. I've been back several times since the change to support the amazing staff, I've gotten food offers on the app. I never used them. Tonight there was a reopening party. I decided to show that amazing staff the support that they deserve. They were giving out samples of the original menu items. My wife and I went to great American pub on Friday, June 13 at 5:30 PM. We sat up at the bar. The waiter/bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. If it was just up to him this place would get five stars instead of the grudgingly given three stars (which if I was able to give a half a star this place is truly 2.5 stars). I realize this place was just bought by PT's and of course the quality is going to go in the toilet because of it but it is really sad. We used to come to Great American Pub all the time because they had an outstanding menu and the ambience was wonderful. Now it's another PTs. Enough said. The menu is pathetic (just like every PTs). Because there is virtually nothing else to order we ordered the nachos followed up by the "pub pizza". Both were absolutely horrendous. The nachos were ice cold when they came to us. The cheese was congealed and just simply was bad. The pizza, frankly, was the worst pizza we have ever had in the valley. Bar none. Not only did it not look like on the picture but it didn't even look like anything we ordered. It came out and it was white (I have no idea what made all of the cheese white) but there was like maybe six pieces of pepperoni on this large pizza, virtually no sausage and the worst part is the Pizza had virtually NO SAUCE. When you lift up the toppings and look at the crust it's not even red to show that there's any sauce. That was basically the first "sauceless pizza" I've ever been forced to eat (in reality each had one slice and left the rest.) in any event, the food was absolutely terrible. Update : Now that PT's has taken over, the great bartenders have all left, the food has gone down hill and the menu has changed. There is nothing like the old Great American Bar. Many of the loyal customers are not coming in. I see this new ownership and poor decisions they have made as a big reason folks are going elsewhere. I don't enjoy hanging there anymore. There's nothing great about this place! We were at the location on Eastern and Serene tonight and had a horrible experience. Our server, Jennifer, was totally in over her head and we were the only diners there! We ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer and waited 20 minutes for them. Our dinners came 20 minutes after the appetizer. The food was sub par and one of our cheeseburgers had to be sent back because there was no cheese on it! Not once during our 50 minutes of sitting at the table did our server ever come by the table to see if we needed drink refills. You should change your name to Not So Great American Pub! read more

Decent spot on Eastern and Serene in the Vegas/Henderson part of town...they do have the football package on Sundays which was a nice bonus...they also have a special menu for football and VGK games which is actually quite decent....tried the cheeseburger tots, very good, and the boneless chicken wings, also very good...the beer that we had, Hualapai IPA definitely tasted skunky and I made the bartender aware to no avail....wasn't looking for anything except to warn them so another customer didn't drink the same nasty brew...anyway, she took "note" of it but who knows if anything was actually done....the ambience is that of a typical bar, nothing really stands out about it...a lot of tv's spread around the place, most showing live sporting events....the beer prices are about average as is the food...this is now part of the PT's "family" of pubs in the Vegas and Henderson area as it was recently purchased...would probably come again as the food was good enough and they do show the football games on Sunday....RECOMMEND read more

Great time tonight with friends watching football! Cozy atmosphere, and the most amazing food I've ever had at a sports bar. Everything made from scratch right down to the sauces! We had a party of 8 and everyone LOVED their food. The Philly sandwich is the best in town! The brisket sandwich was incredibly tender and basically melts in your mouth. The owner, Chris mingled about the bar talking to the guests and even helped the servers run food and drinks. A great personal touch. Our server was really friendly and very knowledgeable on all of the menu items. Food and drinks came out quickly. The entire bar and restaurant were super clean, as well as the bathrooms. This place used to be the most amazing bar until PTs took it over and ruined the place. The food is now barely edible, they chased all the amazing bartenders out, and all the awesome people who used to go there have moved on. Once upon a time (a long long time ago), I was a religious PTs goer, then the food and the atmosphere went down hill at our regular hang out, so we moved on. We came here for dinner during our one night stay in Henderson. It wasn't super busy and we were able to take advantage of the HH drink specials. Service was good. I came here to watch Euro 2020 final and had a good experience. They played the game on a projector and it wasn't crowded at all so I could walk in without making a reservation. Sadly just found out they were sold to PTs and we'll never be back. The food took forever to get out for a place that's not extremely busy. My bf asked for his burger with meat and cheese only and you could clearly see that thousand island and toppings were scraped off. The kicker was that they microwaved the cold food that was still cold when it came out while the plate was searing hot even burning the waitress. I order a Titos Vodka Soda and the server asked if I wanted a regular or large. I of course ordered the large which was water glass size. After a period of hockey we decided to order food. I ordered the steak with side Caesar salad. My Caesar came out first which is fine but I usually like to have my side salad with my steak. I was a long time regular patron of the GAP until it was sold to PTs. I have visited the bar a few times since and found the food below par and the machines are tight. All the bartenders have left and now that the General Manager has changed, I will not be returning. I have been coming here for about a year now, and the service and food have been great until tonight. I had a steak salad delivered without dressing despite every single salad in history being accompanied by dressing AND leaving clear instructions for "extra dressing." Typically, I'd have an issue with the delivery service, but the bag is sealed, which means the driver would have no way to check for accuracy. When I called, a woman was very kind and understanding of the situation. She said she'd talk to management. I then got in my car and drove 15 minutes there and back to get the dressing. As I was leaving, she texted me that there was nothing they could do and I would need to go through the app. I'm extremely disappointed at the lack of customer service and lack of ownership. It was not the delivery service's fault. It was theirs. A simple credit for a future meal would have been perfect. Now, I have a 50/50 shot of getting any recompense through the delivery service's customer support, which is notorious for being unresponsive. I will not be coming back, and that pains me. I recommend going to all newcomers... just do not do delivery. The staff is exceptional and the food is great. Management has let them down. read more

Located on the corner of Eastern and Serene, I happen to drive by this place while getting some other food goods in the neighboring strip mall. The clean look of the pub was what caught my eye and I am glad I decided to give the place a try. I was greeted right away by a bartender named Rocky who was friendly and enthusiastic the whole time. Informed me that Happy Hour started at 11 p.m. so score on late night food and drinks for being a first timer there. Rocky was engaging, made sure drinks were filled, and made sure patrons were taken care of. Really professional. Ordered the nachos, lobster mac and cheese, and a pepperoni pizza. Domestic beer was like $3 bucks during happy hour. Cool. The nachos were surprisingly good. The tortilla chips were fresh and crispy. It was served in a deep bowl, so the creamy cheese was mostly on the bottom, but it was not a problem to get the chips to the cheese though. Fresh cilantro and sliced jalapeno added a nice kick too. The lobster mac and cheese was very rich and decadent. There was some good chunks of lobster in it so that was a plus. The pepperoni pizza came out piping hot, but for $10 during happy hour the pizza was a good value. For my second visit, I ordered the pork tacos and the nachos again. Pork tacos come 3 in an order and served with sliced lime and salad on the side. It was pretty good. The pulled pork was not dry at all and I was kind of glad it wasn't doused in some sort of sauce masking the actual pork . I was surprised how much I liked this pub as it seems to have a lot of locals and is very clean. The are different football team banners along the top part of the walls, so it's an equal opportunity NFL fan. All fans welcomed! Different bartender this time around, but she was genuinely nice and accommodating. Her shift was ending, but she still made sure to say bye at the end. Overall, great service, good food, clean establishment, and plenty of parking. Would definitely come back again to try out their other items and to watch a game or two. Good local find! read more

Friday night, baseball on the TVs. Not overly crowded. Open seating, which is great. We elected to sit at a table rather than the bar. Menu is the same as the west side location. We ordered our usual - Cobb salad and chicken wings. The food took a little longer than the crowds should have dictated. Our waitress was a tad distracted as well, but she was definitely nice, which helped for sure. Overall, pricy for the food you get and the taste. I was taken to the great American pub tonight by a few friends. If you aren't looking for it, you may miss it. However the bright signage and lights should be fairly easy to spot from Eastern. The place was busy but machines were open at the bar which is where we sat. Played Keno, Poker, and Ultimate X. Left about even after tipping out and eats and drinks were taken care of and comped because of our play. As far as food goes they have a pretty nice sized menu. I always like to try the pizza when checking out somewhere new. The pizza was above average. I'm from Chicago so it's tough to like a lot of pizza places around here! Good sauce, but crust was great. The service is very very good here. Met the owner Chris, who really takes pride in his place and wants to give his customers and gamers a great experience. I signed up for their players club and got $20 in free play for signing up no accruing 50 pts. Free play is always nice. For dessert. We went with the donuts! Amazing! All I can say is, the drinks stayed filled, the food was excellent and service was top notch. Give this place a shot, especially if you're a gamer. I went to this place to watch the Knights game. We sat down at the bar in spots which did not have video poker machines. The bar tender came by and said we had to play to sit at the bar. I thought it was odd since we e sitting at two spots without out machines. I questioned the bartender about this stating we purposely sat here since there were no machines and she rudely stated the chairs were for players only. It was obvious we weren't welcome and simply left and went to Twin Peaks about three hundred yards away and enjoyed the game.
