This is a really nice neighborhood bar and restaurant that is great for families and for singles or couples who like sitting at the bar. There's a lot of beers on tap which is great. If you like sports, there's a lot of televisions throughout the entire place as well. We sat at the bar and the bartender Stephanie was awesome! She is very friendly and provided great service. Seeing that their burgers are big, we decided to first share a Bacon Chili Cheese Fries. The fries come out nice and crispy which holds up really nice to the chili and cheese on top. Down to the bottom, I still had crisp fries. This made the dish really good. The chili had a good consistency and flavor. We shared an Apple Brie Burger because the description looked really unique - it had green apple in it! I really did enjoy the sweet and tart green apple in contrast to the salty bacon and brie cheese. The burger bun is a big bun, so this is definitely a shareable if you are ordering other things. We chose to pair the burger with Sweet Potato Fries which comes with a unique pumpkin dipping sauce. While different, I felt it was a bit addicting after a while! In town for the 4th of July and the other couple we were with suggested Slater's. It's in a small strip of businesses and I was surprised it wasn't packed on this holiday weekend. The vibe inside is a sports bar with TV's to watch sports. That was nice with the FIFA games on. So the concept is basically all you can eat burgers and appetizers. There's several softener prices depending on what you want. We went with the basic which was $28 a person. Drinks are not included unless you get top package. Honestly, the appetizer mediocre. We tried the macaroni cheese balls, fries, onion rings and salads. They were obviously frozen quality and don't have ALOT of flavor. I did have the Brussels sprouts which I liked. The burger was good and I liked it but wasn't impressed with the bun. Too much bread. Overall, not bad but wouldn't come back. Just not my cup of tea. read more

We tried the $28 all you can eat option. Definitely worth the money if you get even just 2 items. I tried the apple Brie burger and it was delicious. Only complaint is that they charged me $5 for "no bun" I told the waiter I had a gluten allergy and she said I could do a gluten free bun or no bun. She said the GF bun was a $2 up charge (which was also listed on the menu) but did not mention anything about an up charge for no bun. I can't understand why they would charge extra for less food. Going for trivia night is probably different than a normal night, but the atmosphere was a lot of fun. There is a patio for those who prefer a quieter lcale while inside there was more or a rowdy group enjoying trivia and the multiple televisions on the walls showing sports. The waitress was very attentive and came to get our drink order right away. She was very knowledgeable, giving recommendations and double checking everything for accuracy. When she took the food order she again vefied things and gave suggestions. It took a little bit to get the food, especially dessert, but with trivia going on it was slightly difficult to move around. I would definitely go back to check out a regular night. It was a little louder inside than was good for conversation but they have just been because of the trivia crowd. read more

Every so often you run into a let down from a place you've been to many times. Slater's 50/50 is usually a sure fire winner...not the case today. I think I counted a total of 3 employees working on a March Madness Sunday. That's either crazy, cheap, or an event out of their control. I hope it was the latter of the three. The food was wrong for both of us including the dude next to us who waited for an additional 30 minutes. I think the kitchen was watching the game that's how slow and wrong the food was. Of course being so few employees on duty lended itself the tables and bar being behind on bussing them. We will come back but please get back to where this brand usually is. read more

Karen our server was fantastic. The place is very nice. The trivia was definitely fun but it took forever! It definitely needs sped up. And saying that it was "lion king trivia" but only having a few questions at the end was a major stretch. The food was very good. Amazing time here on a Wednesday night we completely forgot that on Wednesdays they host trivia night right after happy hour here at latest 50-50. It's quite exciting to see the place entirely filled every table packed including the bar, but we were still able to get a seat. We went as a group to celebrate one of our friend's promotion. We all chose the AYCE (All You Can Eat) option, which was perfect for a fun group outing. I tried the fries, sweet potato fries, fried mac and cheese, pepperoni balls, jalapeño poppers, and the Nashville hot chicken burger -- everything was tasty and filling. The pineapple jalapeño margarita was really good with a nice sweet and spicy kick. The milkshakes also looked amazing -- I didn't try one, but they definitely caught my eye! Slaters is probably my favorite place for burgers in Las Vegas.. the only downside is they NEVER have mushrooms. I've gone here a few times and every single time they're out of mushrooms. So weird. Anyway, I usually build my own burger and get a bacon cheeseburger w/ crumble blue cheese and garlic parm fries, so good! I always ask for a side of blue cheese to dip my fries or burger in- delish! The mozzarella fries are a must try as well! Overall the servers are always so nice, come back to check on us often. Big drink selection as well as TVs for sports games. When we arrived it took a few minutes for a table to be set up, which we found out was because they only had one side of the restaurant open. The wait staff was all very friendly and energetic but a little slow to take our order and refill drinks. We wanted to try their Golden Feast, which had the 24k burger, truffle Mac and cheese, fried Mac and cheese ball and we asked for fries instead of fried pickles. The picture looked larger than it came out as, but still enough for us to split. Their bacon is SO good! The burger was juicy and thick and was definitely the star of the plate. The truffle mac was a little mushy and was more like cheese with a few noodles. It was also very truffle forward from the truffle oil, which we didn't mind but some do. While the food is very good they practice a deceitful practice on making everybody in a reservation participate in the all you can eat even if you have a medical reason why you can't. I'm from out of town and made a reservation for my party of 8. Union arrival we were seated and then were given the "unpublished" rules about the all you can eat part. When I told him that the people that didn't wanna participate will sit at another table. I was told that cannot happen. So instead of disappointing my four boys who really wanted that all you can eat I stayed and basically was forced to participate along with the rest of my party. Some have had weight loss surgery and was just going because we were having dinner as a family. When I contacted the owner Andy Kao about my disappointment about his restaurant policy his response was this Finally, since you mention that you felt that guidelines were not published, I would love to hear your thoughts on where we should also publish them (in addition to the paper menu and online menu) to make it more clear for future guests. No where does it state on line or on the paper menu that parties not wanting to participate in the all you can eat cannot sit at another table and order from the regular menu. After I sent him a picture of the online menu he went silent. Just want every body to know about how this place is run and does not care about its customers especially when they have an issue that was easily fixed by the manager at the restaurant and the owner himself. read more

Made a reservation online, have the email confirmation. We arrived at the restaurant early and checked in with the hostess. Were told that we would get a text when our table was ready in about 20 minutes. 2 hours later still haven't gotten a text or update, when I pull up my reservation online it says it has been cancelled.
