It's always sad to learn that restaurants that you regularly frequent announce their closing. It closes tonight at 9 pm permanently. My friends and I had long known Little Star Pizza, an SF staple for many years, one of few deep dish pizza makers in the '90's. When they ambitiously expanded and spawned this brand, I was happy for not having to stress over the parking situation in the Mission. We started coming here for friend get together which morphed into weekend takeout family meals. In recent months, I've been getting food, mainly appetizers, for my friend and occasionally getting a pie and salad for meals throughout the workweek. Pizza for breakfast anyone? I actually stopped here on Saturday 5/30th and got that. As I enjoy my remaining slices in the next few days, I will savor those bites. In reading their farewell email, the nearest location is Burlingame, a bit of a trek for me. Thank you, Westlake Blue Line and your staff for always being efficient, friendly, and helpful. Blue line pizza is now one of my favorite pizza restaurant. We were here yesterday for a quick bite as we were hungry for pizza and my hubby found this place. Great area next to restaurants, bakery and boba tea places in the Westlake center. The restaurant has a full bar and outdoor patio seating. Our server was really nice and attentive. We ordered a specialty pizza, small brass monkey on a deep dish. First of all, the presentation of this pizza looks beautiful, lol. So I was really happy that it tasted freaking amazing! The Italian sausage, spinach, mushroom, onion and garlic with the ricotta, feta and mozzarella (yes lots of cheese!) was delicious! You can taste all the different ingredients on every bite! I love mushroom and garlic as it brought out an umami/savory flavor to the dish. The corn meal crust melts in your mouth and was not heavy at all. For each slice, felt like you just ate 2 slice because of how much stuffing they put into this pizza. It was soooo filling!!! Small is perfect for 3 people. Since there's only 2 of us, we ended up bringing the leftovers home. I recommend this place for pizza lovers or anyone who just enjoy great food! Will be back! read more

Really enjoyed the bbq chicken pizza and the spicy wings at Blue Line! The pizza had a good mix of sweet and savory flavors between the pineapples, bbq sauce, and bacon. Thin crust also seemed to be the right choice, adding a very satisfying crunch to each bite. Wings had a nice spicy, smokey flavor and was definitely not the typical buffalo wings. Happy hour, seated at the end of the bar. There is no happy hour menu , just the appetizers are $3 off and the draft beers are $1 off price. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip with crostini's. And a draft beer with pear and strawberry. The draft came out OK not super flavorful. The artichoke dip came halfway through my beer and I was nursing in my beer and I asked we ordered the appetizer correct the gentleman next to me had ordered a pizza and had received this pizza and I was already eating it and I haven't gotten my appetizer yet so they doublecheck in a couple of minutes. The estimated time provided is on point most of the time. Service for pick-up is quick, friendly and helpful. So many great memories with friends that were staff, it was the place to be because of the comforting, delicious food and great variety of beer on tap. The White Pie has been a favorite for over a decade now! Thin crust is how I prefer my white pie, I've had it as a deep dish but it wasn't my style. The white pie is super delicious with its garlic infused base, thick layer of mozzarella cheese, topped with slices of fresh tomatoes and roasted zucchini. YOU CANT GO WRONG! it's not a diet pizza, it's one of the best pizzas you will ever have, I guarantee it. Top your slice with a drizzle of honey (which they offer at the restaurant), dashes of chili pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. A masterpiece. Another favorite is the spicy wings. Not too spicy, just enough of a kick- the wings offer a flavorful outer layer with a tender and juicy core. The pizzas are made fresh, so take a bit of extra time to get out, which I don't mind at all. My favorite flavors are Tipsy Pig with jalapeños and BBQ Chicken on thin crust. I really like that they have a gluten-free crust option, and it's quite tasty. I also like that you can order a split pizza (two different flavors on one pie). I'd like to try the new cauliflower crust next time, which I believe is both gluten-free and has a lower glycemic index. I usually eat about 2-3 slices, and there are 8 slices per small pie, which is about 12". I've also tried the deep dish cheese pizza, and it was really good, definitely hits the spot if you are craving deep dish. I've also had the Blue Line flavor, which I didn't like as much, but that's on me, I don't like vegetables on pizza. Have also had the BBQ Chicken flavor as a Deep Dish, which I didn't like as much because I feel like the flavors kind of get drowned out in the smaller, thicker shape. read more

I came to Blue Line Pizza on a Tuesday night for dinner with my family as a party of five. Lupe was our server and she was super nice. There was a few people at the bar area but the dining room was complete empty. I got a beer called the Hazy IPA. It's a soft body beer with some fruity notes. For the appetizer we order a the Shishito peppers. I love the soft texture of the peppers and the dip which kind of reminded me of a goat cheese flavor is so good. We also ordered the Garlic Parmesan wings which was my least favorite. We ordered two pizzas. One was a pizza we created which was a thin crust pesto and garlic pizza. The pesto pizza was my favorite. We also got the Blue Line pizza which was a deep dish which was also good. This is such a great pizza place so I'm totally coming back. read more

I'm not sure why it took me this long to come try this spot out but we made it out here for dinner a few weeks ago and I wasn't disappointed. My only knock was that service was a little slow... I'm not sure if it was an off night or if they had a staffing shortage but everything took a really long time. When we first arrived and sat down, there were a few bigger parties that had been sitting and waiting for their food. I couldn't even tell you how long we waited, I think we went through 3-4 innings before we got our food. We browsed through the menu and ended up ordering the spicy chicken wings and the blue line & Italian combo split pizza. The spicy chicken wings really surprised me! And they definitely were spicy but unique and enjoyable. No complaints there! The blue line pizza was delicious, I really enjoyed the ricotta and feta and plenty of onions, mushrooms and spinach. The Italian combo was a little disappointing unfortunately... I didn't notice too much pepperoni or salami. For a quick second I thought we got the wrong pizza but just went with it since the food took so long to get to us. It was hard to get anyone's attention to get more water so eventually we just paid and left. Hopefully the next time we come back it's a little better. Who doesn't love pizza on a Friday night? Ever since our favorite Friday night go to permanently closed, we've been making an effort to branch out. We've been here over the years but it was nice to revisit Blue Line. We made it in before 6pm so we benefited from the HH. $6 for a pint of craft beer vs. $8. We were in the process of looking at the menu once we QR'd it. Then our server came over and suggested looking at a hard copy of the menu. We said ok. We settled on two pizzas: * Chicago Chop thin crust * Free chicken deep dish cornmeal crust Each pizza came to our table piping hot. We enjoyed both. I asked for some honey. The server was thrilled that I did. Years ago we were given the Pro Tip: when you've eaten down your cornmeal crust slice to the end, squirt the cornmeal crust with honey. Then finish off your slice. So good. The only thing I'm pondering - I can't recall tasting any bacon on my free chicken pizza. The restaurant interior is looking somewhat worn to me.
