My "margherita" pizza - where's the basil?
    Anita L.

Gave Mr. Pizza Man a shot and don't think I'll be coming back. My husband and I decided to split a large pizza, half margherita for me and half mr. pizza man special for him. When we got the pizza, the first thing I noticed was that one key ingredient of my margherita pizza was missing - the basil. So it was just a tomato and cheese pizza. While it wasn't bad, it wasn't what we paid for. My husband's side luckily had all the ingredients but because there was a bunch of deli meat included, I felt that it all tasted overly salty. Wasn't necessarily my cup of tea.

Mr Pizza Man is the textbook definition of a 3-star Yelp place. Nothing is overly bad, but also nothing is exceptionally good. Everything is just average. I got the NY steak sandwich with meat sauce. While I guess the meat can be considered "steak" it was a bit chewy and the sandwich itself is just some weird meat slapped between a bun with pasta sauce and some cheese. Passable if you're hungry, but not changing your life for the better. In addition to the sandwich I got the seafood pizza which comes with clams, garlic & shrimp. Actually was a solid pizza and for a small which comes with just 6 slices, it was a huge portion. Obviously couldn't finish it that same night, so reheated the leftovers the next day and it still tasted average. Enough to fill you and leave you satisfied, but also questioning the amount of oil and ingredient quality. Overall, I would probably come back if I need something to eat late at night, but you won't catch me ordering from here during the daytime when normal restaurants are open.

Second time we've ordered from this location. First one was a pick up so delivering the food home was on me and was good. This time we did delivery and half the pizza was caught on the top part of the box. I will give them another chance to see how it'll go. Girls like the cheese pizza from here. Just hope they would be more careful on delivery.

It was really good! Food came out hot and pizza was extremely cheesy and had lots of toppings. The reviews almost scared us away but I'm glad we tried it out. Chicken wings were meaty and they gave us an extra sauce. Pizza doesn't have a ton of sauce or seasoning but the crust is good and I normally dislike crust entirely

Okay, this place is a solid 4 stars. It's not the best pizza out there, but it's a great value! I got the Monster Special, which is a 1-topping XL pizza and a 2-liter bottle of soda, and I didn't anticipate the pizza to be huge. (Yknow, some places claim XL to be EXTRA large, but it's not really big) However, when I opened the box, a bunch of grease was floating on the top. My family was adventurous and ate it regardless, but I had to wipe some of that grease off. It was a bit offputting for me. With great pizza deals comes a great amount of grease.

The food isn't bad, my reason for low star review the fact. That I asked them for beans separate bc my daughter highly allergic. Cashier explained that it came separate container, that's not a separate container if you ask me. Not only was my daughter not able to eat it, because I was not going to gamble with her health over bad food handling. Highly upset, bc if I gave her anything could've had beans on it she would've had bad reaction. Very careless and will not be coming back.

My go to: pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms.

We started off with the beet salad and warm focaccia with olive oil, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. The combination of hot bread with sweet, cool beets was a perfect contrast. The beets were perfectly cooked and came with crunchy, candied pecans over a light bed of whipped ricotta. I could not get enough, especially of the candied pecans. The focaccia was perfectly cooked and super light and fluffy. You can tell that the olive oil and balsamic vinegar are of the highest quality and the dip paired so well with the bread. For our mains, my husband got the rigatoni while I got the gnocchi carbonara (at the waiter's suggestion). Both of us were extremely happy with our choices. I'm used to getting gnocchi dishes that are super dense and doughy but in this dish, it was melting in your mouth. The infusion of the duck flavors really came through in the sauce and you had crispy meat sprinkled on top as well to give a contrasting texture to the rest of the dish. The rigatoni came with a couple of meatballs and sausages that you can tell are freshly made in house as they were tender and flavorful. The marinara sauce had a hint of sweetness with the tartness of the tomato sauce to balance it out. The pasta might have been a hair undercooked but it didn't make the dish any less delicious. For dessert, we ended with a chocolate tiramisu - a bed of moist, chocolate cake with a layer of coffee cream and cream on top, it was a delicious twist on the classic dish. We both agreed that we can't wait for our next visit back to Ofena!

(There's a outdoor pirate themed play area across the street which my kids enjoyed before dinner). The inside is modern but sparse, with three cozy dining dining rooms with a lovely full bar in the center room. Service was wonderful and the manager warmly greeted us with champagne for having happened to be there on their 2 year anniversary. It's not often these days that I find everything on the menu intriguing but we definitely had trouble deciding on what to pick from. What I ended up loving the most were the "sides" which were main dishes in and of themselves in terms of how much flavor was packed into them! For example, the Gigante Beans were so delicious that we tried to replicate them at home the following week. I loved how colorful and tasty the Squash Cabonata side was. Also loved the Pea and Asparagus salad which was beautifully plated, well-textured dish-- I liked that they were small bite sized cuts of crispy asparagus, and sprinkled with some pea shoots. The Gnocchi Carbonara, Saffron Risotto dish, and the polenta side were all very tasty, but I think it was an error to order all three since they were all a bit creamy/heavy. Overall a wonderful spot for dinner!

They normally only open for dinner on Saturdays, but they opened specially for our event, which already says a lot about their generosity and flexibility. I chose this restaurant because I had dined here for lunch a few times before, and every experience had been wonderful. The food is consistently delicious, even something as simple as the bread and olive oil stands out. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality. The interior is beautiful, with high ceilings that make the space feel open, elegant, and perfect for a large gathering. The service has always been good, but for an event of this size, I honestly didn't expect the food and service to maintain such a high standard. I was completely wrong in the best way possible. We were given SIX entrée options for our guests to choose from, which is impressive for a large party. Every dish came out hot, well-prepared, and absolutely delicious. They also offered us a very generous price, knowing that we are teachers celebrating our principal's retirement. That level of kindness did not go unnoticed. We brought our own cakes to save on costs and had asked in advance if the cake-cutting fee could be waived if we handled it ourselves. To our surprise, on the day of the event, the servers stepped in and kindly offered to cut and serve the cakes for us anyway. That gesture meant so much and really elevated the entire experience. The owner was incredibly easy to work with and very accommodating throughout the entire planning process. He had quite a few staff members working our event, and every single one of them was friendly, attentive, and helpful. They even offered my principal a complimentary glass of wine, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel even more special. It's rare to find a place that delivers exceptional food, a beautiful venue, and such heartfelt service all at once, especially for a group of this size. She said she wrote on the reservation "Birthday" and we were seated promptly. Staff were kind and the location is beautiful. It's been in SSF since 2018 and when I looked at the menu, it was nice to see Cafe Figaro as another sister restaurant with the same owner. I love Cafe Figaro and have had a lot of pleasant experiences there! We ordered some wine to start and eventually ordered the watermelon salad and I got the Linguine fruitti di mare. Initially things seemed okay, we got our wine quickly. Servers were smiling. There were 2 servers. We got a watermelon salad with no utensil to serve it, but the server left SO quickly before we could ask. We had to wait a few minutes and then had to ask another server for a spoon. I think that's when we started noticing that the two servers helping on our side were just walking SO fast. It kind of made the ambiance feel rushed and oddly stressful. Like, we are not rushing to eat. BTW we got a reservation for 745pm but they also accept reservations for 8pm. They close at 9pm...(more on this later). We ate calmly when our food came. The food itself was very delicious. However, the service made the whole experience lackluster and incredibly disappointing. I still didn't like how rushed the servers were walking around. I also felt like they were checking often to see how we were doing or if we were done. I felt like I couldn't really eat in peace (being watched but in an odd, invasive way). It was getting to be 8:55 (which we hadn't noticed the time as much), but we asked for a box for my dish to go. I was barely finishing putting it away in the box and the server already came to try to take my plate. I was like "I'm not even done...". RUSHING US. The main server then just came to drop off a check. At NO point did they ask us if we wanted dessert or even earlier on, to say "Btw the kitchen is closing soon, would you like to order dessert.". He just brought the check. We asked, could we order dessert? The server was like "I don't know. I'd have to ask the kitchen but they may not allow it." We were like "Nvm then." We were already annoyed with the situation. I noticed it was 8:57 and one of the servers was already tearing off all the tablecloths from the table. It was very evident they wanted us all out but I guess in other restaurants, even if it's past 9 (a little past 9), they understand that people may trickle out slowly. It wasn't even 9 yet and it already felt they wanted us all out. Especially how rushed they felt overall. When the server came, he said "next time, desserts on me" and I said "there's not going to be a next time." I explained how stressed and rushed it felt, especially with them rushing from table to table like it was a race, and that it was for a birthday and they didn't even give us a heads up to purchase dessert. He kept saying " I don't think I rushed you" and didn't really apologize. My sister too explained she even wrote this was for a birthday and that they were just making us feel like we needed to hurry. We ended up going to Cochinita next door to get dessert and they were so kind, not rushing. I should have gone there instead for dinner or any other Italian place. If you don't want people there at 9pm, don't accept reservations at 7:30, or 7:45 or 8pm. You will be kicked out 40 minutes within your meal as you will see they are subtly trying to kick you out. Go somewhere else where you won't feel rushed and will have a much more pleasant experience. This was surprising to me because I've been to Cafe Figaro multiple times and I've always had such a good experience. Here felt so odd like I was in a diner or a more informal place where it is more normal for waiters/servers to be rushing from table to table. It was an unpleasant experience and would recommend another spot instead with a more pleasant eating experience.

I love mushroom and garlic as it brought out an umami/savory flavor to the dish. The corn meal crust melts in your mouth and was not heavy at all. For each slice, felt like you just ate 2 slice because of how much stuffing they put into this pizza. It was soooo filling!!! Small is perfect for 3 people. Since there's only 2 of us, we ended up bringing the leftovers home. I recommend this place for pizza lovers or anyone who just enjoy great food! Will be back!
