Been ordering here since it opened until recently....... The pizza is good. But couple days ago I ordered takeout on their website. I accidentally purchased a large pizza instead of a medium so I decided to call them immediately to see if they could fix the order and make it right by giving me a refund and making it a medium instead, but then the guy who answered the phone told me " I don't know what to do?" " what do you want me to do?" numerous times I tried to explain to him the situation. He even proceeds to tell me "well you ordered online and I didn't take your order so I don't know what you want me to do about it?". IT DOES NOT MATTER if I order online, on the phone, or in person, the customer still deserves a refund if they made a mistake on an order. Most expect food establishments to train their employees to act in situations like this or at least have a manager on site or maybe on call. He then told me he would call his manager and proceeds to call me back saying that his manager's phone is off and he's not answering. At this point as a customer I don't really have any control on my end so what is he expect me to do? All I want is a refund that shouldn't be hard to ask for. I asked if there's anybody else working there that could help me and he said that they don't speak English, which is fine, but it really did frustrate me and I didn't know what else to do. I eventually just told him to just go ahead just make the food. I don't care anymore. I'll pick it up. It's ridiculously disappointing when you just want to get a refund because you ordered the wrong thing online and then they can't even do that simple transaction that is a common thing in pretty much every food establishment. This situation just frustrated me so much that I will not order from this restaurant anymore. Another incident I wanna say a few months ago, where I ordered delivery to my house and the delivery took so long I was literally about to fall asleep because I was getting so late. Luckily the delivery driver apologized and was nice. Ambience: There's pretty much no tables. It's like one table in there and chairs and that's it. Surprised that this spot only has 3 stars on Yelp because we've been ordering wings and pizza from here and definitely pleasantly surprised. The buffalo chicken wings are pretty good, standard flavor, but cooked well and not overly cooked (aka dry) like some of the other places we've tried. We've tried the Hawaiian Pizza and the Margherita Pizza and were also happy with it. Flavors are good and you should expect a more bread-y crust..not thin and more doughy, which I actually like. Ordered the root beer float from here as well once from DoorDash and it only came as a giant cup of vanilla ice cream, no root beer. lol likely an oversight by them or the Dasher, but was happy they offered something sweet like ice cream on their menu. Stumbled upon this place around 10:30pm looking for a late dinner. We were immediately greeted by Joe who's family runs this establishment. Joe was honestly so sweet and nice. He answered our questions and even gave us a free side of topping we asked to purchase on the side. This place is family owned and keep it simple as Joe told us. Highlight: The pizza slice was large and filling for one person. Also, they load on the toppings which is a plus!!! (We like extra toppings lol) *open till 3am We ordered... Primo Slice: 9/10 (loaded the toppings no need to ask for extra) would have liked this cooked a little more to be HOT! Greek salad: 9/10 (again loaded the toppings) Buffalo wings: 9/10 (HOT out of oven and delicious) they even plate it with celery and carrots with ranch. We came here to pick up some pizza since it was so close . This pizza place is a little grimey inside but the phones were ringing off the hook so the food must be good. We ordered the meat lovers pizza with mushroom medium size, the pizza took about 15 min to come out, on time as the cashier promised. The pizza here is not too doughey, and has a good amount of toppings. It wasn't too salty and the dough was really tasty. The pizza was pretty large for a medium and I was full off of two slices. Support your small businesses: eat at Primo Pizza! It's small, all right. It's in a small storefront on busy Mission Street, and if you're not looking closely for it, you're likely to zip right by. Only street parking, and it's horrendous. But I have a hunch that, if you're there at the right time, just look for all the Jefferson High students hanging out, and you'll find Primo Pizza. We three walked in one late Saturday afternoon. We were the only ones there, but we were at Primo during a time when most restaurants are likely to have slow business. There are probably only seven tables there, so a group could end up taking over the entire place. Kids would do well here, but there is no kids menu, so that could potentially limit their choices. It certainly did for us; one girl who wants cheese only, and the smallest choice was a 12-incher. We took more than half of it home with us. As of this writing, the girl has only two slices to go to finish up her entire pizza. I think she likes it. Overall, pretty good. The Hunny and I ate the 14" meat-eaters pizza, which had pepperoni, ham, and chicken. Didn't really stand out as a particularly great pie, and it was quite salty, but it was good. The overall toppings are pretty thick, which is good if you're careful about how much bread you eat. She barely finished 3 slices, I cleaned up the other 5. The Round Table lunch special gives a better value, as it's all-you-can-eat and I eat, um, all I can eat :-p. But the $41 for two pizzas and three soft drinks is normal for pizza in the Bay Area. Overall, Primo Pizza is a good option for eating local-owned food, but if you live in Daly City, it's best to take the Free Delivery option! Stayed in an Airbnb around the area and would always walk down to get a slice because it was too good! I'm not even a huge fan of pizza but this place was always open late and the pizza came out piping hot (which I'm a fan of). If I remember correctly, it was also pretty cheap and the slices were huge. I would order a slice of pepperoni and be solid. Service was always decent when my boyfriend and I went. The pizza itself wasn't too saucy (which I prefer) and even though it wasn't thin crust, the crust itself was still crunchy (but not dry). If you're gonna place a pick up order thru doordash, I suggest you call and place an order instead. I placed a pick up order thru doordash because I was in the area and I wanted to redeem some doordash credits. The app says my order may be ready at this specific time. So I headed in to see if it was ready but they never even saw my online order. They didn't make my pizza until I got there. The curly haired female employee with the airpods in told me "you're gonna have to give me 10 minutes on that." As if I came in and asked her to do me a favor. At first I was chill about it, but the more it sank, the more I got irritated about this whole thing. When my food was finally ready, I walked up, grabbed my pizza, and said "Thank you." In a normal tone, but all she did was mean mug me. When I finally got home, my pizza wasn't even cooked all the way through. Not to mention the quality and taste has declined so much throughout the years. Primo used to be the first spot I'd think of when I wanted pizza, but now their food is equivalent to the frozen stuff you'd get at Safeway. Try out Mountain Mike's at Skyline Plaza instead. I hate leaving bad reviews. It's just surprising to me how bad it was. $9.99 for two slices of the classic bad pizza - not very cooked, a lot of dough, a lot of sauce, a lot of cheese. They don't have real toppings - they just reheat a cheese pizza after putting toppings on it. There's no effort, but its as pricey as the top Pizza joints in the Bay Area, even outstripping prices of expensive SF eateries - and even those places will give you two slices of cheese for 8 bucks. read more
