We finally tried this place out because they did a fundraiser for the Museum of San Carlos History (good on them)! Inside has a lot of different seating and good lighting around dinner time. Our waiters were very nice and attentive; I saw one waitress offer more food to a table beside us after they accidentally dropped a slice of pizza in the floor! That's great service. The prices are pretty fair for the portions too' The meatballs were pretty good and there was a lot of them. We came during happy hour so they were $10 and worth it! The pizza we got was great! You can split the flavor for no extra cost which is great. The wild mushroom was my favorite. The harvest blend was really loaded with veggies. The deep dish crust was perfect thickness but too dry....hence the 4 stars. I like a more oily crust haha. Overall, a solid pizza place downtown (although I have yet to try others). Took my partner and sister here on Friday 7/24/26 for dinner, and I definitely felt nostalgia being back at a place I once worked at, but this time as a diner. Definitely brought back some sentiments and a smile. We were greeted by all the floor staff, and asked how many in our party and was sat. Ordered a few apps, a large thin crust, and a large deep dish, and everything was amazing. It was my partner and sister's first time trying deep dish, so I happily navigated the experience, including introducing them to honey on the deep dish crust. They absolutely loved it, and I loved having a taste of nostalgia. The staff was amazing, everyone was so attentive, pre bussed when needed, and anticipated needs before asked. Everyone also seemed to be a in a good mood! Very very friendly! As I observed the staff caring for the other tables, I felt warm inside seeing "service with a smile." Food was great, service was awesome, overall great experience. This honestly made me miss my time here, and the amazing team I had the privilege of working with, including the many people I worked with back when I started out as a server opening the Burlingame location many moons ago! Mama Angela, Jake, April, and to the GM/SM of this location if y'all are reading this, y'all got a great group of people on your team. Makes me proud to be a former part of the BL fam. For delivery, it would feel a lot safer knowing the box is properly sealed to ensure nothing was tampered with during transit. Went in for dinner on a Monday. The restaurant was empty but decided to stay anyway. Had the sliders and the tequila lime wings. We received three sliders. They were pretty small. They were served on a small King Hawaiian style bun. Flavor was good, sadly the meat didn't cover the bun and not much else on the plate. Picked up takeout late on a Friday evening. The server was very friendly and helpful. I inquired about the gluten-free crust, and she suggested the cauliflower crust as another option. She mentioned it was one of her favorite and preferred crusts so I went with it. I really enjoyed the pizza! I ordered the Little Star on cauliflower crust. It came out hot, and quickly. The flavors were good (strong onion but I like that). The crust was crispy. Indoors was spacious; pretty quiet and empty but it almost 9PM. I've been to Blue Line sparsely over the years and it's always been a hit for me. The last time I ate at Blue Line was pre-pandemic. No idea what to expect with the passage of so much time since my last visit. Only a couple of tables were occupied and post-COVID, there were a lot less tables in general and plenty of open area. We were seated right away--our choice of table. Our server, Robbie greeted us and was so friendly. We talked about the different pizzas and whether to go for deep dish or thin crust. I love a white sauce pizza but I'm also a big fan of their meatball pizza with the scoops of ricotta cheese on top and cornmeal crust. We eventually settled for the meatball pizza. Once our pizza was served, I asked for some honey to dip my cornmeal crust and Robbie agreed with me--we bonded immediately over the honey. The first thing I noticed about the pizza was the ricotta cheese--it was small dollops; I remember it with generous scoops--times have changed. The crust was crisp and delicious when eaten dipped in honey--you need to enjoy the salty/sweet combo--it's not a taste for everyone. The pizza was tasty; just enough sauce with tiny sized meatballs scattered about the pizza. The small pizza was enough for 2 of us--we each get 3 slices or about half a pizza. Not the best service, but the pizza was ok. I ordered feta in my pizza and when it was brought out there was no feta. When I pointed this out to the server he said that there was feta and that it melted into the cheese which was a lie. The tables were large and there is plenty of space to sit and not feel closed in. We ordered take out. This is my first time ordering here. My daughter likes chicken so I ordered chicken and garlic deep dish pizza. That was a mistake because it had nothing else (no peppers or basil or anytning else). I didn't realize by saying chicken and garlic I was ordering a build our own pizza. I should have ordered the new chicken and bacon with cheese, bell peppers, etc. or any of the other prepared pizzas on the menu. (Don't make the mistake I made) The large serves 4-5 but at about 14" I was surprised how small it was. It helps that it's pre-sliced. It depends on your appetite but if each person eats 2 slices then it would only feed 4. Just keep that in mind. I previously gave Blue Line Pizza a less than favorable review for showing a 9:00 PM closing time online when they actually closed at 8:00 PM. Driving down there and arriving at 8:20 PM and being told they were closed was quite annoying. I am updating the review because of the speed of Blue Line Pizza's response. The employee at the restaurant apologized profusely and immediately called her manager to point out the error on the website. A day or so later, I received a response from the District Manager again apologizing for the mistake. We all make mistakes. What counts is that they owned up to the mistake and acknowledged the inconvenience the mistake caused. I have been back several times since and have had no problems whatsoever. We ordered over the phone and being 2 counties away, we were really anticipating what Blue Line had to offer. We arrived in perfect timing and a small box of Classic pizza and garlic bread were served hot and fresh, which was devoured when we got home. For two, we ordered the Classic deep dish and the garlic bread. The deep dish was the right amount of thickness (you could order thin crust or cornbread deep dish). The warm garlic bread was money, incomparable to any other garlic bread I've ever had. The marinara sauce provided gave it an extra kick of perfection. My pictures do not actually represent the hot and yummy experience had before the entire order was devoured. You'd actually have to order to go or dine in for the experience. P.S. Blue Line apparently has a full bar when you walk in (to your left). Ordered a large Tipsy Pig for take out and it was ready within 20 mins. Each pizza box has a quality assurance sticker on it. First time having Blue Line since shelter in place started so we decided to try something on the menu we don't normally order. The Tipsy Pig has marinated pork, tequila lime crema, red onion, fresh jalapeno, and cilantro. You can get subtle hints of the tequila and the pork was well seasoned. I placed a pick-up ordered for a a large deep dish Chicago Chop pizza and a small regular crust cheese, sausage and pepperoni. I also ordered a pound of chicken wings. It's convenient that they will deliver to your car so you don't need to search for parking. I wish the menu specified how many ounces of each pizza topping was included to set a reasonable expectation. There absolutely was some of every meat listed in the Chicago Chop, maybe I just expected a little more meat and cheese and less tomato/sauce. My bad for not checking ahead. The small pepperoni/sausage was fine - adequate really. Unfortunately, the pound of wings I received were tough and dry. They seemed pretty busy so probably just an oversight on cook time. My brother, sister and two nephews all eat GF so this was a great place to grab something everyone could eat. The food held well together getting it to go and brining it in a car and to the park. I know it's only pizza but some places don't do to-go very well. The pizzas were a great size to split between 4 adults and 2 children. My brother told me they come here often when needing a quick bite to eat and I can see why. It was so good and there were no leftovers. The food is good. And therein lies the problem. What hurts this restaurant is the poor, indifferent service. They sat us and then nothing. I had to walk up and grab menus. I had to flag the waitress down to put in our order. I know a deep dish pizza is going to take a little longer than a thin crust. But even our salad took around 20 min to come out. I had to grab a busser to tell our waitress to go check in the salad. I sat in a spot where I could see the entire floor. Only 10 tables were occupied. There were 4 servers and two bartenders. Most patrons still looked unserved. Worse is that not a single worker seemed to care. Not one smile. The bartender looked like she hates her job, hates making drinks, hates serving customers. I read a number of recent reviews and they all mention this poor service. If the owner cared at all, they would have addressed this.
