I stopped by Sourdough & Co for the first time and honestly left pretty disappointed. The prices are way higher than what you actually get. I ordered a bowl of soup thinking it would be a decent portion, but it was $11 and the "bowl" was basically the size of a cup you'd get at most other places. It definitely didn't feel worth the price at all. I get that prices have gone up everywhere, but the portion just didn't match what I paid. For $11, I expected something more filling, not something that felt like a small side. The food itself was okay, but nothing special enough to justify the cost. I recently ordered catering boxes for my son's birthday party. I went in the store to order it because I wanted to order a variety of sandwiches. However, I think there was a misunderstanding when I placed the order because when my brother picked it up, it was not correct. When we called the store, the manager called me back, and explained the misunderstanding and graciously offered to fix the situation. Because of this, I was very impressed with the service and customer-centric approach. That in itself warrants 5 stars! This is my third review/ second follow-up response to the manager's claim. The most recent statement by your company said the photos I provided of menu items weren't from your restaurant.  I believe it also says an item wasn't even offered by your restaurant, and therefore I couldn't have purchased my order from your restaurant. To clarify, there's an agreement your company signed authorizing Grubhub to use your menu on their website, allowing your company to receive commissions for orders placed through their platform. To confirm that I went through this very common process, the attached Yelp image verifies your restaurant's name, address on El Camino, and phone number. This matches the details provided by the Grubhub screenprint. Additionally, I have attached proof of my phone call, same date later time, with your confirmed telephone number, and again the Grubhub order confirms your store's involvement, the date and time, and look! Even my Cobb salad order is on there. I trust this serves as sufficient proof that my order WAS INDEED PLACED WITH YOUR RESTAURANT. read more

Okay. I wanted a sandwich and I wanted it delivered. My usual spots are closed on Sundays or they don't deliver. Full-disclosure--I'm a Dutch crunch gal. My husband is the sourdough guy. I didn't see any Dutch Crunch options for bread, so Sourdough & Co sticks true to its name. The sandwiches are hearty and filling. My husband thought the bread was okay. I'm interested in ordering again because their salads looks great (based on the pictures), so in the coming weeks my plan is to visit in person. Now. Let me tell you the one reason why I will order another sandwich. It's not for the bread. It's their pickles. I love pickles. I love dill pickles. Sourdough & CO's pickle spears are great! I visited on a Saturday afternoon in search of a meaty sandwich. I received tasty, fresh bread and very friendly service, and enjoyed the sandwich in the comfortable, clean seating area. The pricing is high (4" is $10.99, 6" is $13.99 and 8" is $15.99), and my sandwich could have been meatier. I deducted 1 star for each of these reasons. I have come here 3 times and ordered through DoorDash once . Omg I love the chicken cholula Sandwich my favorite!!! Hubby has tried the brisket wrap . He liked it . Service is great! I REALLY want to love Sourdough and Co because their bread and sandwiches are really good. We have now been here 5-6 times, and every single time they mess up our order. No exaggeration-- they have never made the sandwich correctly. We've tried in-person, on their website, Doordash; no matter what the order is wrong. A month ago I ordered a sandwich from the counter and they forgot to put mayo and mustard on. Ingredients are always flipped -- what you ask for is never on the sandwich, and what you don't want always appears. Last week I paid for extra toppings and did not receive them. The team is very nice, and welcoming. Bread is delicious! My advice to management and the team is to slow down. Read the order carefully. I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for a sandwich done correctly than one that I didn't order. Or possibly remove the ability to custom sandwich orders if your staff is unable to accomodate! read more

I ordered on line, two hot sandwiches for pick-up for mother's day dinner. A French dip and a hot brisket. When I got there the sandwiches had been sitting for 15 minutes according to the ticket. And they were not hot, not sitting out cold, like never heated up. Also I didn't get my pickles on the side, and they forgot the jus for the French dip. Luckily I realized that before I left and got it. The sandwiches are a little small for the price tag. The cookies are big, but have the flavor a mass produced mix. The bread they use is quite tasty. Had been thinking of going for a while and finally stopped by today. I ordered a cracked pepper turkey sandwich, and my son got the brisket. My sandwich was ok. I am a big fan of sourdough and here the bread certainly did not stand out. It would probably have been better if it had been warm. I had ordered the sandwich to be hot, but this one wasn't. My son liked his sandwich though. Prices are on the higher side. The sandwiches do take a while to come out. Service is friendly, and the location is clean. Fist timer. Sandwiches were amazing. I would definitely recommend the garlic pesto Turkey. The aoli was delicious and their house sauce was very yummy. Bread super fresh and honestly just perfect. They have another location in Belmont as well and that one has the same level and quality of food too. Today was my first time visiting this store. I used to be a regular at Subway, but after today, I think I'll be switching over. The food was also really delicious. The two employees working in the evening were very polite. One of them seemed like the manager or owner, and I learned his name is Jason. I ordered a bunch of items during a busy time, and he still took the time to get everything right. Even with the rush, it only took them around 9 minutes, just like he promised. Not enough meat to justify price. Also bit into piece of plastic with black lettering while biting into sandwich. Manager was not there and employee claimed it was tape. They do tape the sandwich but I bit into plastic while eating sandwich and tape is outside sandwich. At the time it seemed it might be tape but in hindsight I had removed paper and tape and plastic is thicker than tape with black lettering. I had seen them on line & passed by another location & we finally had a chance to stop in. It is a casual atmosphere with friendly service, great food, & reasonable prices. They are wonderful & will answer any questions you have. The Italian is 2wonderful with salami & pepperoni on their sourdough; everything is fresh; meats, onions, tomatoes, & bread. It is a nice touch that they toast it for you. I took home a turkey pesto with tender turkey, provalone, tomatoes, onions, & shallot mayo; just as good as the other on the same bread. Oddly enough, they had the ac on & turned it down upon request. My mother's potato soup was good, but they brought it to us llukewarm, even after stirring it. I think they just need a couple more employees as one was taking orders & the other making them up. I would definitely come back to try more. So, for some wonderful sour dough sandwiches & good soup at reasonable prices in a casual atmosphere with friendly service, Sourdough & Co. cannot be beat. Keep up the good work guys. read more
