    1/2 of catering order
    Michelle M.

I recently ordered catering boxes for my son's birthday party. I went in the store to order it because I wanted to order a variety of sandwiches. However, I think there was a misunderstanding when I placed the order because when my brother picked it up, it was not correct. When we called the store, the manager called me back, and explained the misunderstanding and graciously offered to fix the situation. Because of this, I was very impressed with the service and customer-centric approach. That in itself warrants 5 stars! The sandwiches were very good too, and all my guests really enjoyed them.

First time checking out Sourdough & Co. Staff at this location were friendly. Ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, chicken Caesar and clam chowder. Although the sandwich ($17.99) and soup (bowl $10.99) were both good and I liked the sourdough, seems kinda pricey for what they are. The Caesar was ok - didn't seem like a lot of chicken but the greens seemed fresh.

These photos show the prices for the salad dressing and the butter NOTE it does not say "extra"

This is my third review/ second follow-up response to the manager's claim. The most recent statement by your company said the photos I provided of menu items weren't from your restaurant.  I believe it also says an item wasn't even offered by your restaurant, and therefore I couldn't have purchased my order from your restaurant. To clarify, there's an agreement your company signed authorizing Grubhub to use your menu on their website, allowing your company to receive commissions for orders placed through their platform. To confirm that I went through this very common process, the attached Yelp image verifies your restaurant's name, address on El Camino, and phone number. This matches the details provided by the Grubhub screenprint. Additionally, I have attached proof of my phone call, same date later time, with your confirmed telephone number, and again the Grubhub order confirms your store's involvement, the date and time, and look! Even my Cobb salad order is on there. I trust this serves as sufficient proof that my order WAS INDEED PLACED WITH YOUR RESTAURANT.

I visited on a Saturday afternoon in search of a meaty sandwich. I received tasty, fresh bread and very friendly service, and enjoyed the sandwich in the comfortable, clean seating area. The pricing is high (4" is $10.99, 6" is $13.99 and 8" is $15.99), and my sandwich could have been meatier. I deducted 1 star for each of these reasons. Considering the strong sandwich competitors in the area, I don't think it's likely I'll return.

The eggs on the Benedict were poached perfectly, which I very much appreciate. Not only were they poached perfectly, but the eggs themselves were beautiful. Very fresh with that vibrant bright marigold color. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and delectable. The breakfast burger was amazing! It comes served on Filone bread which I thought went perfect with the burger. This bread is similar to ciabatta. Crusty on the outside, with a good chew on the inside. Firm enough to handle all the contents of the burger, but soft and chewy on the inside. The meat itself, chuck and brisket, was sensational. I'm not the type of person to ever order a burger without cheese but this burger could've definitely stood alone. Melted Monterey Jack, thick slices of bacon, fresh slices of avocado, and a perfectly cooked runny egg were just added bonuses. There was something on this burger that had a slight sweetness. I don't know if it was the samurai sauce that they put on it or the bacon, but it was delicious. I love that. It came served with a light salad tossed in vinaigrette as well. Coffee was served beautifully with a nice frothy head. Service was excellent. Attentive without being overbearing. Our server, Da, was so sweet and made our experience even that much more wonderful. Can't wait to come back. My one gripe was the size of the potatoes that came served with the eggs Benedict and the burger. This is not a cheap place to eat. For two of us to have breakfast with one coffee and an iced tea is $60 before tip. Don't be so chinsy on the tater tots and French fries. 10 tater tots? Come on now. It's not caviar. It's potatoes. I don't need a mountain of them just a decent portion. I almost knocked off a star for that, but everything else, specifically the service, warrants the five stars. Thank you for a wonderful meal and for the great hospitality.

The baked Brie was so gooey and paired well with the crackers, garlic, arugula and fig jam on the plate. It's a lot of fun because you get to put all the toppings on your piece of Brie. The short rib was tender and the sauce was rich, but way too bitter to my liking. The wild mushroom pasta was creamy and delicious, but could be enhanced with a bit of acid. The fried chicken was juicy. It was served with 3 cheese macaroni, corn bread and parsley. I didn't know what to do with the parsley. Overall, the meal looked and sounded better than it tasted. It'll be a while until I come back.

This was a good bread, round and splittable like a pita, served hot from the oven and sprinkled with some seeds (I think sesame, although I didn't pay close attention). 2. Meze Trio: patlican ezme (roasted eggplant, bell peppers), haydari (garlic yogurt dip with mint and dill), girit (ezine cheese with pistachios, oregano, olive oil). Loved the eggplant--tender and tasty! The yogurt dip was good, but I couldn't eat large amounts of it. The cheese was ok, a bit too heavy for us. 3. Ahtapot (grilled octopus on lime mashed potatoes and paprika butter). I didn't eat this, but the kids liked it. The octopus seemed very tender, and the potatoes were good. 4. Roka (arugula, diced cooked beets instead of tomatoes, honey mustard). Good, but the creamy dressing made it feel a little heavy after a while. 5. Mercimekli imambayildi (lentils-stuffed roasted eggplant). Imam bayildi translates as "the imam fainted" (because the dish is so delicious, maybe?). This was excellent. The eggplant had a wonderful smokey, roasted flavor. The lentils were good. There was a garlic yogurt moat around the eggplant. 6. Kunefe (shredded filo, melted cheese center, syrup, pistachios, scoop of Maras ice cream). Very good, maybe a bit too much for the three of us, maybe better if split four ways.
