    Tea Leaf Salad
    Caroline T.

Stopped by on a Saturday evening and found it surprisingly slow for such a well-rated restaurant. We were seated quickly by the attentive and friendly staff. The mango chicken was very, very good. A nice balance of sweet and spicy. The coconut rice was a perfect accompaniment. We were disappointed though by the tea leaf salad. It was a little bitter and didn't have much flavor. More than anything, it tasted mostly of oily romaine lettuce. We plan to come back though with more people to try more dishes. Based on the chicken, I think this place has promise.

We walked in Thursday around 8pm. It was quite empty inside. We ordered Mohingar and Nan Gyi Thoke. The mohingar was a disappointment. It was bland. The Nan Gyi Thoke was really good. Tender chicken and flavorful sauce. Would have to try other items next time.

The experience dining here began with the refreshing cool cucumber water! It was made excellent by the great customer service. Our water was always full, and with how quickly our meals came out. My husband's kebat lamb was fork tender and flavorful, and my chicken was no less than a punch of flavor. Both dishes were extremely flavorful and delicious. The food was so fresh and we were left in such a happy food coma place without the sleepiness. This meal was fairly healthy and filling! Each entree is enough for two having a light dinner. Rice is purchased separately but even with two sides of rice and dessert, our bill was under $70 before tip. I can't wait to come back and try the garlic noodles.

Amazing service. They were on the refills like a Michelin star restaurant. Food came out blazing fast. We literally ordered and next thing you know the dishes were out! Yelp check in gives you a free soda. My coconut chicken soup was good and so was the eggplant. Appreciated the good portion of the garlic eggplant where I had some to go. My coworker loved her shrimp garlic noodles and said she would come back.

This was so so good! I would highly recommend coming here when you get the chance!! I got the lettuce wraps and the house noodles, and both did not disappoint. I would definitely get the house noodles if you were only getting one dish. I came during for a weekday lunch, and it was fairly slow with no line.

Visited on a weekend for lunch. Kind of stumbled upon it and we like Burmese so we gave it a try. Pretty standard Burmese dishes. The restaurant was half full so no wait. We were greeted right away. Inside was clean. We got Kebat Chicken, Burma House Noodles, Eggplant Garlic and Rice. The Noodles were good. The Eggplant was a great choice. The Kebat had an unusual flavor.. Service was friendly though. Would visit again when in the area. Private lot in back of restaurant

This was a 3.5 for me. Went there for a group lunch on a Sunday. Had some hits and some "eh, alright" moments. Tea leaf salad and the basil swai were the clear wins--fresh, bright, and easy to like. Nan gyi dok was just okay, and the chicken leaned dry and shredded instead of tender. Mo hing ga and coconut curry noodle were just ok as well. Service had a couple odd beats: someone in our group asked for more warm water and only their glass got refilled, even though the rest of us were sitting there with empty cups. And we ordered two tea leaf salads, but only one was mixed for us while the other was left untouched. Overall, decent meal with a couple standouts and odd moments.

I went to Burma spice on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy and we got a table easily. It's in a quiet neighborhood of RWC and parking was easy. It's on the pricier side. This place is a sister restaurant to Burma taste and choice (South Bay). We love going to those places. The quality was the same, tea leaf salad was fresh and well done. The minty jalapeño chicken is my fav dish on the menu and lived up to the expectations. The Khao soi was decent, the boiled egg that it came with was grey, that weirded us out. Fiery vegetables with chicken was good, but this time came with very less sauce and taste more on tangier side. Service was pretty good and interior is done well. I would recommend this place.

This was our first time trying this type of cuisine and we're wondering why haven't we had this sooner!? Each dish we had were great portions and super flavorful. And service was soo nice! Inside is so homey and open. Can't wait to come back and try more! What We Ordered: Palata with Chicken Curry Dip Salt & Pepper Calamari Tea Leaf Salad Nan Gyi Thoke Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp Strawberry Italian Soda Burmese Milk Tea

Gotta upgrade Burma Spice from 4**** to 4.5 ***** rounded up to 5 ***** for me. Second time here, thought we'd try some different dishes. #Burmese: Salads: ~ Burmese Noodle - 4/5 This was most definitely a Noodle Salad, not as many greens in it as I thought there would be. With 22 ingredients the flavor was profile was complex and the Noodles were perfect. Noodles: ~ Burma House Noodle - 4/5 Another tasty noodle dish with a bit of a kick. ~ Burmese Curry Beef - 3.5/5 This was more like a Beef Stew than a Curry to me. Still very good, just not what I expected. Gotta love the generous amounts of Beef in here. Rice & Sides: ~ Coconut Rice - 4.5/5 Possibly the best Coconut Rice I had outside of Southeast Asia. ~ Jasmine Rice - 4/5 Your regular Jasmine Rice The food is still delish and the portions are on the generous side. Our leftover looked like another meal. They weren't busy on a Saturday evening. I hope they stick around. I really enjoy the food here...

Can't go wrong with the Nan Gyi Thoke here! Creamy and tasty. Though most of the chicken has the flavor, the noodles are dense and a good texture. I also recommend the Sesame Chicken! Imagine orange chicken but 10x better with the texture. Definitely order some veggies too though. That's a whole lot of just chicken.... Customer service is good and the ambiance is nice.

Many of the employees primarily speak Spanish, but even though I speak Spanish muy poquito, we had no problems getting seated and ordering while speaking English. The menu is primarily accessed by QR code, but they will give a physical copy of the menu if you ask. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating available, and we were seated quickly. Chips are not complimentary, so we ordered Chips and Guacamole ($11) to start, and my goodness, it's been a while since I've had really amazing guacamole. It's fresh, it's chunky, it's a nice balance of other toppings - I was in love with it. We ended up ordering more chips (this time Chips & Salsa ($4)), because we had plenty of guacamole left over. The salsa was a nice roasted salsa, rich in flavor but not too spicy. The chips tasted homemade as well, as they weren't overly salted but had a nice crunch to them. They had plenty of homemade Aqua Frescas available, so I got the Strawberry Horchata one. I didn't realize they default to large ($7) from the start, as they also have small & medium. A little surprised by that, but the horchata was so good that I ended up being happy they gave me a large. We shared the Molcajete D. Carne ($40), which came with sides of rice, beans, and tortillas. The molcajete was huge - definitely plenty to share with at least 2 people! The meats were plenty flavorful and not overcooked, so they weren't chewy. It felt very authentic overall, and we were very content. Would definitely come back!

My most recent visit for lunch on a Saturday was very busy! The line was out the door but they move fast and the food comes out even quicker. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor tables where you sit wherever you. There is self service water with and without lemon throughout the location. Pros: Quick and friendly service Tasty lobster rolls, lobster chowder, and crab sandwiches Con: Parking is VERY limited. They have a small lot in the back and you can park against their fence but over the weekend it's almost impossible. There is street parking but also a little hard if you want to park directly nearby. I parked about 1.5 blocks away on the next street parallel to the restaurant. The naked lobster roll is one of my favorites because you can really taste the meatiness of the lobster. You can tell it is fresh in every way with the buttery brioche bread. The tray comes loaded with chips and a side of Cole slaw. If you come with friends, I recommend getting a bowl of the lobster soup to share. Dipping the chips into the soup is chef's kiss! If you are a smaller party, you can always get the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup. But the better deal is to get the soup to share on the side since the lobster roll is $39 vs the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup is $37. If choosing between the which lobster roll to get, I opt for the naked roll because of the freshness and it is not as heavy. The dressed lobster roll has a good amount of flavor and pairs well with the bread, it's a little heavier because of the mayo and butter brioche bread. They don't use a ton of mayo in it so it's not as bad as you may think. I've had the twin tails in the past and I can definitely say it was very easy to get the lobster out. Sometimes some places make it more difficult and people don't want to really dig in with their hands. Safe to say it was very easy to eat. Over the years, I've seen the price go up with inflation unfortunately. So I definitely still come but as a little treat to myself or if I were to come celebrate a special occasion.
