Amazing service. They were on the refills like a Michelin star restaurant. Food came out blazing fast. We literally ordered and next thing you know the dishes were out! Yelp check in gives you a free soda. My coconut chicken soup was good and so was the eggplant. Appreciated the good portion of the garlic eggplant where I had some to go. My coworker loved her shrimp garlic noodles and said she would come back.

We loveeee this place, come here for work lunches all the time. The vegetarian selection is top notch. It's never super crowded during lunch so we get our food quickly. Haven't been for dinner. Everything is so delicious and authentic. The outdoor area is nice in the spring but if not they have a pretty big indoor area. I like the outside a lot more

This was so so good! I would highly recommend coming here when you get the chance!! I got the lettuce wraps and the house noodles, and both did not disappoint. I would definitely get the house noodles if you were only getting one dish. I came during for a weekday lunch, and it was fairly slow with no line.

Visited on a weekend for lunch. Kind of stumbled upon it and we like Burmese so we gave it a try. Pretty standard Burmese dishes. The restaurant was half full so no wait. We were greeted right away. Inside was clean. We got Kebat Chicken, Burma House Noodles, Eggplant Garlic and Rice. The Noodles were good. The Eggplant was a great choice. The Kebat had an unusual flavor.. Service was friendly though. Would visit again when in the area. Private lot in back of restaurant

This was a 3.5 for me. Went there for a group lunch on a Sunday. Had some hits and some "eh, alright" moments. Tea leaf salad and the basil swai were the clear wins--fresh, bright, and easy to like. Nan gyi dok was just okay, and the chicken leaned dry and shredded instead of tender. Mo hing ga and coconut curry noodle were just ok as well. Service had a couple odd beats: someone in our group asked for more warm water and only their glass got refilled, even though the rest of us were sitting there with empty cups. And we ordered two tea leaf salads, but only one was mixed for us while the other was left untouched. Overall, decent meal with a couple standouts and odd moments.

I went to Burma spice on a Sunday afternoon and it was not busy and we got a table easily. It's in a quiet neighborhood of RWC and parking was easy. It's on the pricier side. This place is a sister restaurant to Burma taste and choice (South Bay). We love going to those places. The quality was the same, tea leaf salad was fresh and well done. The minty jalapeño chicken is my fav dish on the menu and lived up to the expectations. The Khao soi was decent, the boiled egg that it came with was grey, that weirded us out. Fiery vegetables with chicken was good, but this time came with very less sauce and taste more on tangier side. Service was pretty good and interior is done well. I would recommend this place.

This was our first time trying this type of cuisine and we're wondering why haven't we had this sooner!? Each dish we had were great portions and super flavorful. And service was soo nice! Inside is so homey and open. Can't wait to come back and try more! What We Ordered: Palata with Chicken Curry Dip Salt & Pepper Calamari Tea Leaf Salad Nan Gyi Thoke Honey Glazed Walnut Shrimp Strawberry Italian Soda Burmese Milk Tea

Gotta upgrade Burma Spice from 4**** to 4.5 ***** rounded up to 5 ***** for me. Second time here, thought we'd try some different dishes. #Burmese: Salads: ~ Burmese Noodle - 4/5 This was most definitely a Noodle Salad, not as many greens in it as I thought there would be. With 22 ingredients the flavor was profile was complex and the Noodles were perfect. Noodles: ~ Burma House Noodle - 4/5 Another tasty noodle dish with a bit of a kick. ~ Burmese Curry Beef - 3.5/5 This was more like a Beef Stew than a Curry to me. Still very good, just not what I expected. Gotta love the generous amounts of Beef in here. Rice & Sides: ~ Coconut Rice - 4.5/5 Possibly the best Coconut Rice I had outside of Southeast Asia. ~ Jasmine Rice - 4/5 Your regular Jasmine Rice The food is still delish and the portions are on the generous side. Our leftover looked like another meal. They weren't busy on a Saturday evening. I hope they stick around. I really enjoy the food here...

Service was great and the food tasted amazing. The samosas and the shrimp roll were very tasty. The soup tasted very unique and full of flavor and I would definitely order it again. The place also played good music and TV had sports playing in the background. Highly recommend this place!

Can't go wrong with the Nan Gyi Thoke here! Creamy and tasty. Though most of the chicken has the flavor, the noodles are dense and a good texture. I also recommend the Sesame Chicken! Imagine orange chicken but 10x better with the texture. Definitely order some veggies too though. That's a whole lot of just chicken.... Customer service is good and the ambiance is nice.

Delicious food, nicely decorated interior, easily confused waitstaff*. *We asked our server for a glass of warm water. After he told us he only had hot water and tap water, we asked him to mix the two. We asked him to put half hot water and half tap water into the same glass so as it make warm, sippable water (to soothe a sore throat.) We received a mug full of hot water and a tall glass full of tap water. No third vessel to mix the two. The server was confused, bless him.

Food is very good here! The taste and the quality. We came here on Sunday for dinner around 7pm, no wait, restaurant was pretty busy. The menu is well-rounded; salads, noodles, vegetarian options, seafood, meat dishes, dessert. The service is friendly and fast but not hurried at all. Ambiance is casual and comfortable; looks like lots of local folks come here. There is some outdoor seating but mostly indoor. All three dishes we ordered were very good! The tea leaf salad was fresh (it does contain jalapeños which I wasn't expecting and I'm not good with spicy foods so next time I might ask for it on the side as husband likes spicy), Burma noodles are similar to Pad Thai with a sweeter less fish sauce flavor profile and the curry chicken was very soft and flavorful. This place will surely be a regular for us! Places like this make me love living on the peninsula!

Yeahhhhhh samosa soup is an ingenious idea, it was everything I needed. Love that they serve you the toppings alongside the soup so you can control the sogginess factor. Super nice ambiance, capable and attentive staff. Burmese iced tea is fking awesome

Having said that, Mingalaba is probably the most authentic Asian restaurant I've eaten at so far. You can there that there's no shortcuts with the dishes, nothing is watered down, everything is just real. The coconut chicken soup is something out of this world. It's not spicy at all. I can't describe it but it was really delicious, as with all the other dishes. The service was amazing and they even amended some of our dishes so that we could feed it to our kid (non-spicy). I really like this restaurant. Only such a shame we live so far now and only just discovered it. I'd visit again if I'm around.

While there are a few highlights, several dishes don't quite justify the premium pricing. The Burmese beef and lamb curries are really good--the meat is consistently tender and the flavors are deep and well-developed. We also really enjoyed the rainbow salad and the paratha with curry sauce, though both felt overpriced for what they are. Other menu items have been disappointing: * Catfish Chowder: This was fairly average and bore a strange resemblance to pea soup. * Walnut Broccoli Chicken: Another mediocre dish that failed to leave an impression.
