I have been here several times but I just will not come spontaneously ever. The only reasons have been specific occasions like someone's birthday, befriended live band, event, etc. I even remember my first visit here ever when my friends Bachaco played here in the fall of 2011. The crowd is mixed, it can be anything. They put 2 bartenders at their main bar not able to service the crowd, but not only that, the main bar is surrounded by chairs. Ordering is a pain as you have to squeeze in between people sitting on the chairs. You're not allowed to use tables as that's only table service. Outside the same situation. Plus side is that they have live music bands and they were very good every time. Another plus: Bathroom is decent and at least there's enough for a big crowd. Some of the best service I ever received in a club! The waitresses are sooo attentive and kind. Came here twice, and the music was better on the first night but nonetheless a great spot. My original review of Blue Martini was one of the first I posted on Yelp, waaaayy back in 2008. Fast forward nearly a decade and I've been back to Blue Martini a few times and am happy to add a star to my original rating. Months ago I came here with a large group, and the woman working the door and taking the $10 cover from the guys explained that we'd be further ahead in purchasing bottle service where we'd get entry without paying any cover, and we'd be served Blue Martini's house vodka. In total it'd be a better deal than the guys paying $10 each and then everyone buying mixed drinks once inside. We went for it and it turned out she was spot on and saved us some $$. The house vodka wasn't bad, either! On my most recent visit, I came here with a small group late on a Friday night. Cover was $10 for the guys, women got in free. My primary 2 criticisms on that night would be, 1) The glasses they served mixed drinks in were quite small so they were gone relatively quickly. It should be noted that the glasses they give the tables that purchase bottle service are about twice as large as the ones you get when buying drinks at the bar. 2) Pricing is inconsistent depending on which bartender you visit. When I first arrived, I went to the bar just inside the door and got a rum and coke. I was charged $10.50 for Bacardi. For the next round I went to the inside bar and ordered the same drink... Where I was charged $13 for Crown Royal according to the receipt, though that's not what I saw her pour. read more

The most racist establishment in Miami. If you are a person of color do not spend your money here. I was removed removed from this property in a chokehold from a steroided security guard who was completely aware of the situation but decided to choose the victim of color. Definitely a MUST go for happy hour. I have been to Blue Martini once before, but never did a review. What brought me to Blue Martini this time around, was for a birthday. I went during happy hour which started at 4 P.M till 8 P.M, and the menu was 50% off, what is convenient is that the menu shows the happy hour prices already, which gives you a idea of how much you are going to spend on the specific drink or food. The variety of food is great. They have beef, different dips, and flatbreads. (There is more food, but I can't remember at this moment.) This restaurant/lounge is very nice and clean. The outside patio area, is very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The view is very nice, when you sit out in the patio. I have to give a big thank you to our waiter, I believe her name was Brooke. She was very attentive, made sure the food that was ordered was brought out promptly. She was awesome! A+ for service! This location is very nice and I recommend visiting at-least once for happy hour, the prices are fair and reasonable even if your on a budget. read more

Oh, Blue Martini! Where do I even begin to count the memories made in your salsa music-filled walls. Yes, I am a Lady Blue Card holder and yes, I frequent this particular Blue Martini pretty regularly. I've said it before, but happy hour is one of my most favorite times of the day and Blue really hits it out of the park from 4 pm - 8 pm. One of my best friends is a total Blue Martini lover, so it's usually her and I catching up over a nice Blue Martini pour of vino at the outdoor bar. The folks here do not skimp on the pours, and the price is just right. I believe it is $6 for a glass of wine, and the food and cocktails are on special during this time too. The food could be hit or miss, but I do like their pepperoni flatbread and spinach artichoke dip. Now, back to the Lady Blue Card. Even if you don't come here often, you should totally hit that up! It allows you a free drink of your choice after 8 pm. Did anyone say Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio?! During happy hour the place is bumpin' but not too crazy. You can typically find a seat and get a drink pretty fast. Later in the evenings when they have live music though, it gets really packed. I'm always impressed with the bands they book, they're always fun and definitely bring the party. Came here on a Wednesday at about 9:15 PM, and honestly it was pretty empty when we arrived. it was "Girls Night out", and ladies got in free and drank free with an open bar from 9-11 PM. The bartender was absolutely amazing! He always made sure our group was taken care of, and we also made sure to tip him cause he was great! The music was good, a good mixture of older hits and some of newer age music. By 11 PM the place started getting fuller and more exciting. I am extremely disappointed in Blue Martini. I frequent the establishment often especially Wednesday's. I enjoy the crowd after work and the food. Tonight for the first time I was denied entry.. when looking for their operation hours I saw a previous review via yelp claiming racial discrimination and I looked over it as someone being "petty" and proceeded to invite my out of town guests to catch up with me at the club. I arrived before them so I could grab a bite to eat. When I got to the door I was told I couldn't go inside. I had to ask the smug front door security 4 times before he gave me the reason being "you can't come in by yourself". I demanded to speak to the manager I had lost my appetite and rerouted my guests before the manager arrived. The manager claimed the bouncer chose personally not to let me inside. I spoke with the police after the manager called them on me. They claimed they could refuse me entry "just because". I claimed it was racially motivated and the bouncer proceeded to tell me "I lost my virginity to a black girl I'm not racist. I watched him let a single Hispanic woman inside the club right in front of me and smirked at me.. Wow. A place I frequent and spend lots of money in. The food is mediocre (had pizza) and drinks are alight- not a fan of blue martini signature blue drink made me sick. My hubby and I would go blue martini very frequent a few years ago as we live really close by and it was a nice place to relax, chill, have a nice drink and listen to some talented live musicians. So we decided to go for a date night this past Saturday. I have a VIP card which previously would get you in free before a certain time usually before 10PM and before 8PM with a free drink (that is ladies). So the hubby and I got to the door and there was no hostess however there were 2 security at the entrance by the sectioned off area. We walked right in and was lucky to get 2 seats at the bar area. Even luckier the band had just started back another set. Yay! I asked the bartender if the policy had changed with the VIP card and she said she wasn't aware and to ask the hostess so I told her there was no one at the door when we walked in (up the escalators). The bartender was at the bar by herself and she was extremely unfriendly and to be honest had a really bad attitude (for someone in such industry to me it's unacceptable). Such a turn off and so the night started off frustrating! Soon after, another bartender walked by and I asked her about the VIP because I was curious. She walked with me to the door and the hostess gave her attitude and told her she was there all along (was she trying to say I lied?). Check the cameras then...I said to the bartender it's ok I just wanted to know if there were changes because I had not been in such a long time (well this will surely be the last!). I would never belittle myself for a free drink! There are many other similar vibe establishments in the area where I can have a great time. The bartender then walked off after the hostess gave her "attitude" and told me come and she called the manager and spoke to him. He then walked over and spoke to the hostess and then came back and gave me a free drink card. He was extremely friendly and nice and seemed annoyed over such a petty incident. I agree totally. I visited here tonight at "happy hour" which they say is 50% off drinks and apps. First of all, we sat ourselves outside and waited for our waitress. She eventually showed up and happily took our order. We each ordered a martini and we ordered two appetizers. After waiting a few minutes, we received our drinks and began to enjoy. While watching football, we decided that we'd order a few more drinks before the end of happy hour. Our waitress, Ashley, was no where to be found. With two minutes left before the end of happy hour, we approached the bar to order another round. They stated that they needed our waitress to put in the order because they didn't know what we ordered. I'm pretty sure we could have told them, but sure, we will wait for them to grab her. They found her within a minute and she put in a new order for us in time to get the "happy hour price." When she brought our drinks back to us, she told us that our food should be out any minute (at this point it had already been half an hour). Another half hour goes by and still no food and no check in from our server. I then go and ask for the bill. They again had to track down our server and get our bill. When Ashley borough us our bill, she made no mention of the food and it wasn't even on the bill. When we asked her about it, she said, "you never got your food!?" As if she was surprised. We said "no," and she immediately blamed it on the bartender. I'm adding a picture of the receipt so you can see that an AUTOMATIC tip of 20% is added to your bill, regardless. You'll also notice that the happy hour is clearly not 50% off drinks. When I asked her about the pricing, she stated that it's actually only 45%- ha! Do the math...use the calculator if you need it...it still makes no sense! This place is going downhill quickly. I also asked to see a manager on my way out (after paying the bill without complaint). They play great music and they have a good amount of tables so you don't always have to be standing. But beware those tables get grabbed pretty quickly! My fave drink, and their signature one, is the Blue Martini and it's so tasty and made for IG snaps lol. They do have a $10 cover charge but they also have weekly specials. If you work in the hospitality industry and have proof of it, on Monday's you get 50% drinks which isn't bad! I know they also sometimes do a comedy show on Thursday's I believe and ladies drink free till midnight. The area where this is at is Mary brickell village which has a parking garage as well as street parking and valet. So you can grab dinner and head upstairs for a night of fun! read more

Dear Blue Martini, I still despise you. I still think you are overcrowded and overpriced. But you managed to redeem a star because I actually enjoyed Happy Hour here last Friday. For the first time, I was not charged a ridiculous cover to come in. The drinks were reasonable (I paid $12 for a Mojito and a Black & Tan beer) during this time, which is my usual gripe, and we actually had fun. I have to say though, that is because some friends of ours arrived early and scored a table outside, which at least got me out of the crowd's way. We were only here for about an hour. And that's really all I could handle. But I will at least give you credit where credit is due. There was a large crowd, lots of people, tables were all full, and it looked like business was doing well. At least you have that going for you. Will I be back? I hate to say yes, but probably. It probably depends on what you're looking for, but Blue Martini is definitely not for everyone. (My diplomatic way of saying: 'not for most'). We went there for a friend's birthday, but after everyone having to pay $10 cover (ladies as well), getting the wrong shots b/c the bartender couldn't hear us over the music (either that or he's not that good), getting charged $13/drink for the wrong drinks, lots of people smoking inside and having men outnumber women about 2.5 to 1, I don't think Blue Martini is too impressive. They earned an extra star because they played some kick-ass music and have some yummy martinis. read more
