One unique touch I loved was that after the meal, they brought warm essential oil towels to refresh your hands, which was especially nice after enjoying seafood. Giselle is what every visitor to Miami expects for a fun night out with good food, people watching and music in a trendy setting. What surprised me was the excellent service, from start to finish. I arrived early and had a drink at the bar, served by a gorgeous, knowledgeable and polite bartender. As it was early, I probably paid attention to the others at the bar more than I would normally, and it was a very colorful, diverse mix. Beautiful people dressed to the nines, a few couples and a few who were obviously tourists. Great start! The highlights included the dumplings, truffle fries and Snapper. I am a French fry purist, but these changed my mind! I would skip the tuna with caviar over rice appetizer. This one hurt as it was highly recommended by our server. The proportion is just wrong. The mushrooms as a main side were also rather pedestrian. I know we had multiple desserts, but I can't remember them. A big plus for me is that we were rooftop, but it is fully enclosed. While we were a little confused when we first arrived (we thought we were going to a club) the lady was so sweet and directed us to the elevator to the rooftop. Once we got off the elevator we were impressed with the beautiful aesthetics and the entire space overall. I can't leave this review without letting y'all know they have happy hour during the weekend! Yes, that means you can experience some of the regular menu items at basically half the price! With that being said of course we had to try the "Caviar Bump" that comes with a shot of tequila (Blanco or reposado) and Close to Midnight. With shots and drinks we were definitely ready for some good eats. I went with the Crispy Whole Snapper with an Ají Amarillo Aioli and Peruvian Salsa Criolla and my friend had the Mediterranean Branzino with Artichokes, Salsa Verde, and Romesco Sauce. For sides we shared the Pomme Puree (whipped mashed potatoes) and broccolini. Honestly, this may be the first time in a very long time where I have zero critiques/no complaints (10's across the board)! I hate that I can't remember our servers name but she was so nice and took her time to answer any and all the questions that we had. Giselle Miami absolutely delivers on every level, this is hands down a 5-star bar experience. From the moment we sat down, our bartender Sebastian set the tone with incredible service; attentive, knowledgeable, and effortlessly cool. He guided us through the menu with great recommendations and made the entire night feel elevated without ever being over the top. We started with the Short Rib Bao Bun, which was unreal. Perfectly tender Japanese BBQ short rib with just the right balance of cilantro, aioli, and pickles. Every bite was packed with flavor. The Giselle Burger was next level. An 8 oz prime patty cooked to perfection, topped with caramelized onions and truffle aioli, paired with crispy fries that we couldn't stop picking at. It's one of those burgers you keep thinking about after you leave. And the Ají Amarillo Tiradito was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully done. The coconut leche de tigre added such a unique, slightly sweet twist that made the dish stand out in the best way. Great aesthetic, beautiful indoor/outdoor dinner space as well as the bar. Amazing vibes. The wait staff was incredible, very attentive and provided amazing service. The food and drinks were just wow. I think we ordered most things off the menu, and every dish I tried (minus the meat because I'm pescatarian) was very delicious. Because of this reason, they brought out an alternative to the beef carpaccio, but made with beets, the flavor profile was insanely good. Went for a birthday dinner and it was so fun! Brianna (Bri) our server was fabulous. She knew the menu so well, made great recommendations and was so friendly and present. Everything was delicious. We loved the sampler for 2- chefs choice from the raw bar. We also got the flaming lobster (no cracking or mess needed!) and the American Wagyu. My cotton candy cocktail was so cute and delicious. Our reservation was for 6 PM and they open at 6, so don't go too early or you'll be standing outside (unless you want to go into the cabaret club in the same building). Right at 6 someone came down to check us in and then we got on the elevator to head up to the restaurant. Valet was right across the street and accessible for $20. Came in for happy hour with my apartment building and had a cute time. I've only ever been in late night, so the happy hour vibe was right up my alley with a really good menu and pricing. The entire experience was 5 out of 5. A smidge pricey and they charged automatic 18% gratuity, but we shared main dishes and that was perfect. Daniel was our server, absolutely fantastic. Giselle is definitely a restaurant you go to for aesthetics and ambiance. As for the food: it wasn't spectacular. I do however wish I ordered the snapper because it looked and smelled delicious. I ordered the sea bass, which was cooked well and almost melt in your mouth, but the flavor was nothing extraordinary. I also got fries, which were basic. Our server Lauren was so polite and attentive, everyone seems to be big on team work, our table was always clean and our glasses were never empty. Now to the food, the Wagyu Dumplings were very delicious, so too was the Sushi, the HAMACHI CRUDO had great potential but for me had too much salt. The pastas were a bit salty too but had great flavor. The SKIRT STEAK 10OZ PRIME and PEKING CHICKEN (not pictured) was my absolute favorite they were chefs kiss, flavorful, juicy and delicious. Honorable mention to the french fries we did two servings, they were good nice and hot. The GISELLE'S PEARLS was tasty light dessert cake, enjoyed it. The decor is beautiful, modern open space. Ok. I was really struggling to give this place a fair rating. I have mixed feelings but I ended up at 3 and here's why: I've been once during Miami art week. I understand that during art week every place in Miami is packed and messy. However we ended up waiting for the table that we booked in advance for 30+ minutes and there was no place to wait so we were standing in the middle of busy and narrow walkway to the elevators while being consistently told to move for staff to pass through. I wish they had a better waiting area in mind or at least more spots at the bar or smth. They also shouldn't have let in as many people despite it being art week. Regardless, we ended up getting our table. The waitress was super nice and friendly and accommodating despite the fact that she had to work with a lot of tables at the same time. As to food, obviously it's expensive (duh). The quality to price ratio considering the type of establishment this is was good for steak, baked pasta and deserts. Steak was tender and really delicious and the baked pasta was to die for. However, all the raw fish dishes were underwhelming at best. The coconut sashimi I couldn't finish it because the combination of flavors was so bad, and the rest of our table had the same opinion on it. The raw fish dishes were either not flavored at all or had too strong of a flavor. If you go, I don't recommend the raw dishes at all, but the rest was great. Hence, my mixed opinion. The drinks were ... just there. Nothing to write home about. Not good, not bad. Forgettable, nothing special. Not very alcoholic either. Finally, we got to see a show at 1am and the show was great. The artist was doing tape art on models and it lasted about an hour. So that's my review. Again, I really struggled to give this place a rating between 3 and 4, but there was no option to give it 3.5. There were great parts and not so great parts. I was probably a bit more critical with this review because of the high price point and the fact that the place markets as an upscale experience and the bar for an upscale place is higher. The overall impression is above average. I don't recommend against it at all, you should go if this place has been on your list and make your own opinion. read more
