Edited Post: The only way to receive the yelp check in discount is to post a positive review in front of your server. Which is very strange to me and also misleading. Came here to enjoy a night out in LA. It's BYOB and 4/20 friendly which is cool. It was a Saturday night which is the hip hop night. The DJ was okay his mixing of songs did not keep the party momentum going. You have to create a account on there website to become a "member" to get in. No special perks just seems like a way to keep tabs on who comes in. The decorum is basic to say the least, ample lawn chairs for everyone to sit. Someone threw up in the bathroom sink in the ladies room that was never cleaned. If you come early enough in the evening you will be strong armed to purchase the expensive hookah. If there are three people in your party like ours you'll be forced to purchase 2 Hookahs even if everyone isn't partaking. Definitely a enter at your own risk type of place. And please watch your card charges you may get charged twice like me. read more

This place is a lot of fun on the weekends and jam packed. It's a place to go if you need a few hours to wine down from a night out but have a crowd that still wants to dance. There is a DJ every night and sometimes have strippers. Expect to not have parking and to pay $60 per hookah, plus service fee, tax, tip and running about $80. If you're coming here try to be even because it's required to have one hookah per 2 people. read more

Me and my friends tried this place for an after hours situation, and I would say it was pretty underwhelming They don't sell alcohol, and a minimum required to hook us. It was only three of us there I don't see myself returning unless there's a big group and we have bottles in our purse. read more

Blue Moon Hookah is a place to go to if you want to chill and listen to some hip hop music.. We had to pay a $5 cover fee and you can only use one hookah per two people which is stupid. There's not much of a selection of hookah flavors, but I'm glad they had some available without tobacco/nicotine. The only downside is all hookahs are $25. The atmosphere of this lounge is club like which is why a lot of people enjoy it. There are blue flashy lights with extremely loud music playing. We had a party of 6, so we had to buy three hookahs. We had to keep telling the girls to fix the hookah, there should always be a person constantly checking the coals to make sure they're fine. A 15% discount is offered on yelp if you check in, since we had a party of 6 with two separate bills. Originally the girl bought out to separate bills and once we showed her the 15% discount she combined both bills and said she could only do that. A service fee was added to compensate for the 15% discount, we asked why there was a service fee now and not before she said for making the hookah. I'm very disappointed at this service, do not offer discounts if you have to scam people to make up the money. I have to say, the music was good but "Dj samples" couldn't play a sound for more than 20 seconds. This hookah lounge is open till 4am apparently, but it started dying down around 2amish. I personally will not come back to this place, only reason why I came was because it was close to our hotel. There are many more classier hookah lounges with much better music & service. read more

Place was okay. Had really loud music which was good and a decent atmosphere. The hookah was very overpriced we paid $80 for one regular hookah and 3 water bottles (not including tip). Maybe overpriced is to be expected since it's DTLA but I think there must be better places around. Interior was nice and staff was attentive. This place was... interesting. The DJ definitely needs better skills. I know it's mixing but bro, you literally play one second of a song and then switch to another. There wasn't much of the new-new music. He played old stuff which was alright, brought back MS / HS memories. No one dances. Like... what are y'all doing? Lol. This is a place to smoke hookah and dance. Then there was a group who HAAAAD to be rollin' or on a drug because this boy took off his shirt and then when he put it back on, shxt was backwards then he went missing for a while like -- where are you friends. The hookah made me maaaad sick though. I didn't feel good at all. Maybe the other location is better... this was a bit of a dud. Especially paying $15+ to get in then another $20+ for hookah.
