Hey Foodie Fam, Here's another much anticipated review from your boy Jerry aka Cereal Killer! This is overdue from Easter Sunday by the way. I had Papa Yun's Donuts bookmarked for a long time but I've been unwilling to make the 23 mile 27 minute drive to Bryant Irvin Rd and I can honestly tell you that I no longer need to make that drive to get Cronuts! I am here to testify that Blue Mound Donuts MAKES one of the Best Cronuts you will ever taste. The store front from the outside is dark and they may look Closed but go inside for Sunshine And Rainbows! This is an innovative donut shop. My 8 year old son and I tried the Sausage Donut Holes and we both liked them, the wife not so much. The Maple Bacon Bar is a 5 out of 5. The Cronuts are a 5 out of 5. The Red Velvet Donuts are a 5 out of 5. The Sausage Donut Holes are a 3.5 out of 5. Please help support small business especially one that makes Awesome Donuts! read more

Stopped in during the holidays as it is close to my home. My usual donut shop is closer to work, but I didn't feel like making that drive. My parents were in town and they are early birds. I had to be quick and get some donuts while they were having their morning coffee. I've been in again since and have enjoyed their selections. Walking in, the shop is small as most are but the distinctive difference with this one is the decor. The walls are adorned with superhero posters and action figures. There's also a wall of pictures of what looked to be customers which made it have a personal local feel. They even have little toys for the kiddos to play with. I noticed that they had a cappuccino machine as well as coffee. As for the donuts, I scanned the case and noticed quite a few options with bacon, ie sausage rolls with bacon and what looked to be a bacon croissant. There were fun glazed ones with colorful sprinkles and some with toppings such as Oreos and cereal. The donut holes were also dressed up with sprinkles and different glazes. They have a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich that is really good. It's huge and quite filling. The croissant itself is just ok and not very flaky but the sandwich is good as a whole. My dad loves cinnamon rolls and thought theirs was decent. The glazed donuts were also average at best. There's also danishes with cherry, apple, and cream cheese fillings. Now, the reason I will come back is their red velvet cake donut with cream cheese frosting! The cake donut is so moist and light. It had a great red velvet flavor and paired with the yummy tangy cream cheese frosting, I almost felt guilty for eating cake for breakfast. Almost. The staff was nice and friendly enough. Most donut places throw in a few freebies when you buy a lot but I noticed they don't here. Just an observation and not reflective of my review. I've passed this place every morning to work but have never stopped in. It's a great local donut shop with a fun environment and I would definitely recommend it! read more

Let start by I don't do much survey but its my pleasure taking the time to brag about this place, donuts and donut holes are Amazingly, delicious, fresh donuts filling is put at the moment you order them to eliminate the possibility of sogginess but that not all the pig in a blanket are super fresh and tasty wish they had a place like this in Florida donuts there wish they could taste like these. Love Blue Mound Donuts!! They are super close to home and their donuts are ALWAYS fresh. The shop is small - as are most donut shops. They have a few tables to sit down and eat at but nothing for a large group. They have fresh coffee brewing as well as sodas, milks, juice, and energy drinks in a refrigerated case. I really enjoy their blueberry cake donuts which are soft with the perfect amount of glaze. The kiddos love just a plain old glazed donut. They also have the standard "pigs in a blanket" and other items such as muffins. Nothing super fancy - just a good ole' donut shop! This will always be our go to shop!! ENJOY! read more

Great little donut shop decked out with superhero decor. How can anyone not like a donut shop with a nearly lifesized batman and dart vader standing and guarding the donut selection? They have several items with bacon in them.....too bad I didn't get a chance to try any of those. The reason for our visit is we were purchasing for our client, so I only sampled the donut holes on display as free samples, which were delicious by the way. My husband has been here several times, and loves the place! I went there on Sunday and got some filled donuts, and blueberry donuts and crullers. We are big fans of blueberry. The donuts were fresh, and the fillings tasty. I got a mixture of raspberry and lemon filled ones. Quite delicious, and not too greasy, as other reviews as indicated. They also have plenty of novelty donuts, with different toppings like Fruit Loops, and lots of eye catching sprinkles. I would imagine this would be a great draw for kids.
