The best assistant, taking care of our sweet fur-baby girl named Cusco!

If I could rate Blue Mountain Animal Clinic 10 stars I would! This place is awesome! Dr. Thiel was incredibly helpful with our 16 year old Cavachon named Cusco. She was in so much pain for the first time ever. Dr. Thiel and her team cared so much! They are super knowledgeable, care a lot, and have great bedside manner. Every person I spoke with there both on the phone and in person has been extremely helpful, caring, and just so kind. I spoke with Sunrise today and was reminded of how great they ALL are! Thank you to everyone there for CARING! Check out this picture - I'm not saying she's the best assistant in the world, but I'm not saying she's not!

I am super thankful for the wonderful staff at this hospital. Earlier this week on my at home from…read morework I tragically hit a baby deer that ran out onto the road in front of me. I could not get a hold of anyone to try to help him, I called multiple vets and even called the game warden, no one was able to help or most were already closed for the day (4:30pm). One clinic in pa told me to try Greywolf, since they're one of the few places that have a wildlife license. I called them at 4:41pm and they said if I could get the deer in the car I could bring them. They were willing to stay open late and wait for me. I had to drive all the way from port Angeles and finally arrived around 5:10pm. They immediately came out and started trying to help the poor thing. It didn't seem like a skeleton crew at all, they had multiple people trying to help him, and even helping me fill out the papers and comforting me, since I was in tears at this point. I know it's a tragic thing that happens often in this area, we have so many deer, but that didn't matter, they still did everything they could to try to save him and for that I'm incredibly thankful. Sadly he did not make it, but I'm comforted in knowing that everyone tried their best, and they made it as peaceful a passing as they could. Behind grateful to this amazing staff for all of their help and hard work.

She would call later that day or the next. Not impressed with Dr, no rapport with me or my rabbit. Anyway call didn't happen. Two days later at end of day she called. When asked about delay she lied. We live in Napa, where wildfire evacuations, the heat wave, covid, and the dog collapsing were basically making me fall apart and so we came up to the peninsula for a respite. They were able to make an appointment for that week for an exam, blood test and urine sample. Dr. Torres has a great manner, talked with me at length, gave me medications to have on hand in case his symptoms returned before we could get back to Napa, and then followed up, patiently explaining test results and recommendations, along with emailing me the results and her notes. After so many visits where the dog was diagnosed with a variety of ailments, including respiratory failure (wrong), told he was dying momentarily (he's still kicking), calcified disks in his neck (maybe?), dementia (sharp as a tack), UTI (yes), possible kidney infection (yes)... late nights, lots of tears, and having to confront the reality that if the suffering continues I will have to make a heartbreaking choice...her calming voice and confidence in her findings that he just needed a longer course of antibiotics to clear the infection put me deeply at ease. The medications she provided were clutch, as three days after our visit (6 since ending his previous course of antibiotics) his symptoms returned at about 10pm on a Saturday night in Middle of Nowhere, Washington. Armed with her notes and tests, I have since been able to get him the correct care he needs. Make no mistake, he's a tough dog to treat: 15, deaf, hind end paralysis, cataracts, three teeth, and stoic. I am also tough patient: exhausted, heartbroken, traumatized, a fire refugee, and covid cabin fever crazy. She cared for us both with such grace, kindness, and professionalism. I recommend her in a heartbeat and am so grateful we crossed her path.

Dr. Stubchaer was very kind and respectful, so I hoped our return visit would be the same. Unfortunately, I was completely wrong! We saw a new vet a year later, and wow, had things changed--and not in a good way. The staff was rude and neglected the care my dad's dog needed. It seemed they would rather just let your pet suffer. I'm grateful for our new vet, who confirmed my suspicion about why they treated us this way. I will never return.

She drank water the entire night, trying to rehydrate. She came home sick with a hoarse bark, I had to take her to her vet to get seen. I went to get my dog at 2:30 on a weekday, the front door was locked. I called and asked if they were open, and was curtly told "of course", I asked why then is the door locked?? Even though my dog just got a clean bill of health from her regular vet, they claimed she had worms and charged me for the medication. Horrible experience, an inspection of this facility has been submitted.

As Rudy aged and his medical problems increased, she always explained every condition, test, care plan, and/or procedure carefully, so we always understood what was going on. She always had his health, well being, and comfort as priority. When the tough, end-of-life decisions had to be made, Dr. Czachor and her staff were informative and helpful, and they guided us to make the best choices we could for our beloved Rudy. They even provided us a beautiful box for his ashes and an additional beautiful plaster imprint of his paw, which we will always cherish. We have recommended Family Veterinary Clinic to our family members who have visited from out-of-state with their dogs, who required unplanned veterinary care while here. Dr. Czachor was always responsive and attentive to the care of their dogs. And when we had a family member move here from California, Dr. Czachor is the veterinarian we recommended, wholeheartedly, to them. Thank you, Carmen, for the wonderful care you gave our Rudy. We will always appreciate everything you and your staff did for him ... and for us.
