I am super thankful for the wonderful staff at this hospital. Earlier this week on my at home from work I tragically hit a baby deer that ran out onto the road in front of me. I could not get a hold of anyone to try to help him, I called multiple vets and even called the game warden, no one was able to help or most were already closed for the day (4:30pm). One clinic in pa told me to try Greywolf, since they're one of the few places that have a wildlife license. I called them at 4:41pm and they said if I could get the deer in the car I could bring them. They were willing to stay open late and wait for me. I had to drive all the way from port Angeles and finally arrived around 5:10pm. They immediately came out and started trying to help the poor thing. It didn't seem like a skeleton crew at all, they had multiple people trying to help him, and even helping me fill out the papers and comforting me, since I was in tears at this point. I know it's a tragic thing that happens often in this area, we have so many deer, but that didn't matter, they still did everything they could to try to save him and for that I'm incredibly thankful. Sadly he did not make it, but I'm comforted in knowing that everyone tried their best, and they made it as peaceful a passing as they could. Never again. Took my bunny there. Vet aspirated a growth. Told me, as she's waving around sample, as soon as this dries she can look at the cells. She would call later that day or the next. Not impressed with Dr, no rapport with me or my rabbit. Anyway call didn't happen. Two days later at end of day she called. When asked about delay she lied. Immediately got very very defensive and said I was wrong. My neighbor, who wouldn't lie to save her life, was in the room. She heard what I heard. Calling manager today. Not hopeful. The staff person who took care of clipping Fluffy's claws, trimming the knots out of her coat was great. Was very nice to our young long haired cat ( our first long haired cat). We have a Paws Plan and feel it's a good deal. Front Desk ladies were nice too. We enjoyed meeting Buzz the front desk manager who is a nice tabby. read more

I am so, so very thankful that they helped my little girl over the bridge in a peaceful and professional way. I would avoid unless you like paying way too much for very little service. They charge $68 for you to wait well beyond your appointment time just for the doctor to stroll in, spend about 4 minutes telling you about all the lab work they need to do and hand you an exorbitant price sheet. i come here to get my cat fixed. i make all the appointments and always show up on time. finally when the appointment for the actual spay arrived and the vet tells me they hear a murmur and recommend a cardiogram. it takes forever for them to get to back to me about scheduling an appointment for one cuz i guess some dude comes to them for that. fine whatever they charge me $700 for it to basically tell me shes fine which is fine i understand and money is not the problem. the problem is that i schedule the spay again and this time they tell me they cant fix her cuz this tiny cat is being a bit to aggressive and swatting at people cuz shes scared... ofc shes scared last time you shaved her tummy did an ultrasound and threw her back in her cage! then they call me and tell me they wont spay her today cuz she to stressed out. you guys are vets how hard it is to manage this tiny cat. they finally give some mus relaxation meds to give the cat next time to relax her before the appointment even tho i told them she was gonna hate it next time i bring her in. but they also charge for me for those as well! Like what? you shouldn't charge me cuz you scared my cat... and to top it all off they have the sweetest front desk lady and vet leaves her to deal with us, the vet doesn't even come out to talk to me... like your the one who im paying to spay my cat, you should come out and tell me why you cant do it instead of shrugging it off onto your front desk associate. read more

One star because there is not a NO STAR choice. My first and only visit was Strange. A set up spay appt. And get a cost price. Day of spay, receptionist immediately said, I would need insurance, she had pet insurance co. brochure, Quote $ 87. a month ? for 12 months, Spay cost 1100.00 $, Yes, eleven hundred dollars, for a 16 lb poodle. The veterinarians are caring, but the office staff need upgrading/education. Pet records are not updated promptly, callbacks that are offered by vet techs and others are never completed, and reception staff act like the clients are wrong because information is lacking from files. If you can't trust that the information in your pet records is up-to-date, how can you be sure they're receiving adequate care? I called to fill a prescription for one of my pets. the vet tech said she would confirm with the vet and call me back 3 to 4 days later to confirm. she never did. When I called to follow up, the receptionist read my pet's file and said that no such notation for a prescription request was included. She suggested that I was wrong. I used to like Greywolf and recommended the clinic to people I met with pets. We found another vet. Keeping files updated and communicating with clients after offering to follow-up is just as important as caring for the animals. The two go hand-in-hand. read more

Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and care about your pet. The facility is clean and welcoming.

Dr. Rose saw my lab jenny for what i thought was a wound. She quickly recognized that it was more serious. She recommended surgery. It turned out it was a mast cell tumor! This can be fatal to dogs. Because it was found early enough and because she was able to remove all of it jenny is now cancer free! Would recommend this team 100% read more

To the older gentlemen on 8/24/19 who took over an hour to get back to me on a $250 emergency visit, then basically refused to see my poor dog while he was suffering. I was only 1 block away from grey wolf, he told me to go to VCA in silverdale, my dog ended up dying in front of me. You're a real coward, I just didn't want him to be in pain. If you're reading this, I hope You get that same kind of treatment when you are laying there suffering on your death bed. I do not recommend this place if you have a real emergency, you could already be in silverdale and being treated by the time they get around to calling you. read more

I want to thank all of you doggy doctors for your patience, kindness, and dedication to serve the animals you treat. As a cousin of 5 veterinarians in the midwest, I know what you go through. Sure, there will be people who complain about the fees you have to charge, or be angry about not having their pet seen on a weekend or evening after you have put in many hours of overtime - eating between exam rooms when you get 2 minutes (along with that urgent potty break you've been needing for the last hour or more). I know you go over and above what is called for to treat every animal you meet with compassion. You could have picked an easier occupation, but your love and empathy for our best friends keeps you coming in day after day. Thank you! read more

I just wanted to give Dr. Rose a shout out. What an amazing staff so nice and kind. My Avian Vet retired in the Tacoma area and to find a helpful place that actually knows how to clip bird wings and toenails is amazing. in the Olympic Peninsula. I think I was more nervous than Frankie our African Grey. When you have the same Vet for 16 1/2 years going to someone new can be stressful. Dr. Rose and her assistant are fantastic. My poor 6 month old kitten was seen by a vet who had probably been out of vet school for 6 months. My cat was in severe respiratory distress. After charging me for 2 expensive medications, the bill was $236.81 and they knew I was out of work due to Covid. My kitten's condition is absolutely unchanged! This being the case, you would think that they would see him again and not charge me again. But NO, they wanted to charge me again even though their 1st vet obviously got it WRONG!! I would never take another animal to this clinic. The vet before this was also a 20 something year old, fresh out of veterinary school! Don't bother with this place. They have nothing but inexperienced vets and are unapologetic when they get it wrong, but are very glad to rip you off! read more

We have been taking our kitty here for years with little success of rectifying it's issue. We were sold all kinds of meds and expensive foods. We listened to the intelligent sounding vet tell us all kinds of technical stuff. When we moved out of the area we also changed vets. Guess what!? The new vet has helped on the first visit and spoke to us plainly and only charged for the vist, didn't sell us anything. Cat is healthy now. Now we're getting bills from Grey Wolf that we have receipts for but they won't discuss them with us without a person from their office who never seems to be there.... You decide. The other vet has mentioned to us that "Yeah, Grey Wolf is good at treating your animal for years". We agree. If we could give less than one star we would. Feeling very betrayed. read more

Took my dog to them 3-4 years ago, the service was good, the vet was helpful but not this time. After spending a lot of money on skin biopsy and blood test, the vet refuse to tell us what wrong with our dog or simply saying "I don't know", and when my primary vet tried to contact her about the issue and she was unhelpful. read more

All they've done is make mistakes. I took my dog in for a specific exam, the exam was not completed but I was charged anyway. The weight that was listed on his chart was over by 7 pounds, (I have a very accurate pet scale at home). Greywolf maintains that he is a golden retriever mix. He is black with terrier like fur. Several times when I've called and the receptionist could not find me on the computer. I've been told several times that they would call me back regarding questions and they never did. I now have a new veterinarian but since I need to refill his flea/tic prescription that Greywolf could have, I'll be charged again for a wellness exam. I do not recommend this veterinarian hospital for any reason whatsoever. read more

Attempted MANY times to get my sons hamster in to be seen because he was very ill and needed treatment. He was a patient of their clinic and has been seen there before and I was told he could not be seen for a couple of weeks and that I should call daily to see if there were any cancellations to get him in, which I did. Unfortunately my sons hamster suffered slowly and died this morning. This vet is neglectful when it comes to getting sick pets in that need vet care when it is their own patient! Now I have a devastated son who lost his little friend. I will NEVER recommend this vet, if your love your pet stay VERY FAR away from greywolf! read more

Was vacationing in Sequim and my Pekingese had been itching incessantly so called to make appt here. Called on Thursday and they got him in on Saturday. Front office staff super friendly and doc very quick to find cause of itching...fleas which I had looked for and not found. Office call prices slightly higher than I'm used to, and flea meds outrageously expensive, but guess they are everywhere. I would use this vet again. read more

I am holding back one star because I saw Dr. Riley who fills in and have not worked with the resident vets yet, BUT I will be in the future and hope to be putting that last star up. My little dog got in a fight with another one of my dogs and needed attention asap. Having just moved here I chose another vet who told me they couldn't see her. I was shocked and an emotional mess. I literally asked my phone for the closest vet and it gave me Greywolf. The staff was FANTASTIC! Peggy was right there for me and got me in as soon as I could get there. They were compassionate, kind and very understanding. There was no unnecessary work performed and the check ups were included. He took the time to go over everything and even spoke to me about my other dog. The total charge was under $400.00 and I was expecting at least twice that. (I was told Dr. Riley waived the emergency fee of $500.00.) I look forward to bringing all my dogs here for their routine check ups. read more

I took my cat there in 2008 when I was in Sequim and my cat suffered a medical emergency. I'm sure they were technically competent but they charged a fortune! They charged a myriad of "fees" for this or that. I don't mind paying for "service" but charging a "pain management fee" in addition to charging for the pain meds my cat was given was ridiculous! My cat suffered urinary blockage. I took my cat in during regular office hours, and I was charged $1000 due to all the "fees" for this or that. I have taken my cat in for this type of thing before, and an "emergency after hours" clinic in another location only charged $350 for treating my cat for this same condition. read more

Getting basic services and regular well care for our dog/cats, was fine & we had no problems with Greywolf. We liked having Saturday hours available too. But during the months our cat was suffering and clearly ill we learned far too late (by happenstance) the extent of his deterioration. Get a second opinion before going too far down the road with this hospital! In retrospect, it seemed the Drs. just intended to prolong his life under any circumstances without informing us of the gravity of his condition just because they could, and they assumed we would want that (even though we repeatedly stated that we did not). If it was an income driven choice (we hope not!), we were clearly & deliberately not informed that his organs were shutting down and he was dying, even when throughout several visits and phone calls we continued to ask for more info on his condition. We would have put our cat down sooner had we been given the facts of his condition months prior to when we finally discovered them. We don't condone willfully allowed suffering, and believe they were remiss if not cruel/unethical in not giving us better information with which to choose for our beloved cat. For that reason, we will not use their services for our remaining pets, and do not recommend that others do either. How sad that they did not understand our anguish/dismay upon the discovery that our cat was suffering needlessly when his health could not have been improved, nor his pain relieved. He is dearly missed. read more

The Staff is amazing! I have had to board my 12 yr old lab several times. Jake loves people but not other dogs. So that makes him a handful. The staff loves Jake and say's that they never have a problem with him. Jake goes into boarding and back out just as happy as he could possibly be. That tells me that they treat him with love and kindness. That is very important to me.........and to Jake! I highly recommend Graywolf for all for your pets needs. read more

This is my favorite veterinary clinic ever. My dog had an emergency and was bleeding profusely. My male had mounted her and had evidently torn her clitoris from tip to end. When we first made the phone call we called the Sequim animal clinic. When my husband told the woman that my dog was bleeding profusely, she told him that her idea of profusely and our idea of profusely were probably two completely different things. My husband then asked is this gray wolf veterinary clinic? When she said no, he said oh never mind and hung up. We then called gray wolf and they told us to come right in. The staff was extremely nice and very professional and they fixed my baby up in no time at all. I will never again call another veterinary clinic. read more

We took my two great danes into Greywolf yesterday for a nail trim and anal gland cleaning. Both services were done really well and both staff members were very friendly and knowledgeable. However, as I was paying for the services and checking out, the office manager there for some reason decided to share with me that she "would never have a great dane because they just don't live very long, maybe 8 years". As any great dane or large breed dog owner will tell you, this is always uncomfortable to hear, but at a vet office I found it appalling. I attempted an explanation of how weight control, proper diet and exercise are all having positive effects on increasing lifespans but needless to say her comment completely rattled me. When I left I became more and more angry that this type of comment would be made by someone who is supposedly in a position to offer sympathy and caring. I also reflected on her explanation of current office policy in which a vaccine will not be given unless the dog has been seen within the past year. I stated my dogs were both seen in November of 2015. Then the rules changed to, well it actually the last six months. I also provided current shot records (recently moved from California as well as a health evaluation from California vet in March) No, the office manager insisted a new exam was required. So after much thought I've decided this is not the place I want to seek care for my danes. Although I have had nothing but positive experience from the vets I have seen and the assistants as well as the grooming staff, the office manager made the entire experience very upsetting. The comment was unsolicited, inappropriate and shows a complete lack of compassion in what should be a very caring environment. I parted ways with this clinic because Dr. Rose suggested I take my cat to the pound to put him to sleep. As responsible pet owners, when we take on an animal it's for life and I feel we owe it to them be there at the end, not dumped off the the pound. So when I run across a vet who suggests this, I part ways with them. I'm appalled by this and won't be back. read more

Everyone genuinely concerned with making the pet comfortable and healthier. Office is clean . We've always followed their recommendations which were very helpful. They try to get you in ASAP. Our cat was really suffering with inflamed skin and they put her at ease. Within 24 hours she showed signs of improvement. read more
