Was feeling a bit sluggish after a great lunch at the exemplary Tacos del Cartel on Clematis when I rounded the corner and came across Blue Mountain Coffee House (BMCH) on Rosemary. Could this really be the Mecca of coffee before me? I've been meaning to visit Jamaica and traverse the Blue Mountain region but this is a semi-literal case of George not going to the Blue Mountain, the Blue Mountain came to George. But I digress.... I enthusiastically entered the modest but well appointed street level outpost of Jamaican excellence for a quick cup of liquid heaven with my colleague and begrudgingly left with a euphoric experience having been in the presence of Allison, a former high-corporate exec at a German multi-national, now turned entrepreneur and proprietor of BMCH. My colleague ordered espresso, as any good Italian would do. I left my order up to Allison. She returned with a well appointed to go cup of filled with what Utopia would surely be if it took a liquid form. Today I was testing my will power by not partaking in any of the scrumptious looking cakes and pastries baked in house. I did however, take ground coffee to go. While I wouldn't ordinarily buy ground coffee, I felt that my cheap-o-matic coffee grinder would only do injustice to my pound of $160 coffee. My presumption was that Alison and staff best knew how to properly grind my coffee beans and the ideal fineness that I couldn't possibly achieve with my underwhelming paper-weight of a counter space consuming coffee grinder. And then we chatted. Because my wife may see this review I'll refrain from the praise I would have ordinarily bestowed upon Allison so let me just say visit Allison and Venessa at Blue Mountain Coffee House if you enjoy great coffee and energy, you'll never again look at that green woman of a corporate logo and think coffee. read more

I stopped by the BMH booth at the West Palm GreenMarket to check out their stunning carrot cake and I was so glad I did. It is easily one of the best or the best carrot cake I've ever had. The carrot cake was moist, flavorful, and light. They are extremely generous with the slices and it is topped with lightly shredded carrot. It is a dream and I constantly think about it. The lady who helped us was incredibly kind and charismatic. I can't want to check them out again! I'd highly recommend trying BMH Coffee House. read more

First visit right off the brightline easy walk to this coffee shop. I was greeted and a very cozy and comfortable atmosphere. We enjoyed our breakfast which we kept it simple and the coffee was delicious. I had the chief's coffee which tasted like a dirty chai or sweet potato pie but with coffee! I was very impressed with the owners history and how she got the business started. I had a friend come visit WPB & I was so excited to bring her to BM cafe! It's been quiet sometime since I've been here but as I remembered the customer service, good food and coffee is still on point! (JSYK- If you're looking for average low-cost reg coffee, and snacks go to Dunkin or Wawa) When you're at a specialty Café & you want great coffee with custom syrups, foams & milks etc, you have to pay the price and I don't mind at all! Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. From the hazelnut latte with oat milk, affogato, corn beef hash with potatoes, scrambled eggs, jerk chicken wrap, down to the cakes we took home. (Blueberry angel and pineapple upside down) The spread was delicious. Alison and Victoria made our visit so comfortable, pleasant and personal. Their conversation and customer service alone was worth the 50 min drive. I can't wait to come back and enjoy. read more

I was in the area for a work visit and my coworkers told me to check out this coffee shop. I ordered the Chiefs Coffee, and wow! Probably one of the best coffees I've had in a while. The texture reminded me of Vietnamese coffee, and it had a little hint of cinnamon and nutmeg that made it really stand out. Super good and worth the stop. read more

The service is immaculate- the owner Allison is a sweetheart dedicated to her business and craft. She takes selfies much pride in what she has created and you feel it from the moment you walk through the door. She makes everything in house, fresh not frozen as we like to say. And the pancakes were the best I've ever seen in my entire life- and I'm a big foodie- but it being peaceful, clean, dog friendly with outdoor seating, women owned, aesthetically pleasing-- it's a win win for the city of West Palm to have this little gem & for Allison to have kept it afloat since Covid is Covid is outstanding. If I could give this place zero stars I would! I was in the area looking for somewhere to grab a quick breakfast/lunch so I saw this place & decided to give it a try. As a Jamaican I was intrigued by the concept of a Jamaican coffee house . Imagine my surprise when 2 meals. 2 smoothies & a muffin came to be $76!!! The 2 smoothies had no flavor & was very watery so at $11 each we were less than impressed. The blueberry muffin was the only thing positive about this experience , the muffin was warm, light & fluffy which left us feeling very hopeful about the food however the rest of the food was lackluster especially at this price point. I ordered the jerk chicken wrap & it was a hard tortilla with barely any chicken or other filling. As for the jerk chicken it lacked flavor the chicken only tasted spicy but flavorless at the same time. My friend ordered the ackee & saltfish & as a Jamaican it didn't pass the eye test so I didn't expect much beyond that. The 1 spoon of ackee was served with 2 dumplings 1 banana & a salad all drowned in parsley at a cost of $30! We dined at the tables that are set up outside of the restaurant, while eating the lady that took our order came to check on us so we asked for some water where we were told they don't serve water you have to purchase a bottle for $2 which we did but I very disappointed that after spending $76 at this establishment we couldn't even have a cup of water. The fries that were served with the jerk chicken wrap was drowning in oil , the fries tasted like they came from the oil to my plate. The only 2 things I enjoyed at this restaurant was the water & muffin. Over priced & underwhelming! Would not recommend!! The price doesn't match the quality of anything being served here and a Jamaican has nothing to do with the nasty food being served at this place !!! read more

What a great place!! As a true coffee addict I'm always looking for great spots with truly awesome coffee. I've loved Blue Mountain Coffee since my first trip to Jamaica years ago, but have had trouble finding it in stores let alone at a coffee shop. Be sure to check the meters because the meter says 2hr max but when I used the parking app it only allowed me to do a max of 30mins. So not sure what's going with that. read more

Small coffee shop that was quaint; as we walked in we were greeted by the owner Allison who was really affable. She welcomed us and got to know us a bit, made small conversation to ask us what we typically liked and made great recommendations. I started with one of their signature iced coffees called the Chief's coffee which had so many different notes of flavors that it was possibly one of the best I have ever had. If you have never had Blue Mountain Coffee from Jamaica this is one of the few spots in "south Florida" that actually has it, possibly the only one in all seriousness. The menu had traditional breakfast options plus Jamaican variations with a slight twist from Allison. I had to go with the Corn Beef Hash, this was definitely absolutely amazing. The flavors hit my palate and all senses were going off. This was an absolute incredible meal. The corn beef has the potatoes cooked in with it, the eggs matched perfectly with it as well! This is not a meal I would typically buy for myself but trust me when I say, one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Highly recommended! read more

There were a few customers seated in the intimate space enjoying their coffe and a woman was chatting with them, as soon as I walked in she greeted me with a huge smile and friendly attitude. She told me about the pasties on offer and highly recommended the rum or carrot cakes. I chose the carrot cake and a cappuccino to go along with it. The carrot cake was moist and flavorful. The cappuccino was wonderful! I later discovered that the woman who helped me and who was chatting with the customers was the owner; We had a nice chat about her business and where I was visiting from. We just ordered two medium coffees. One pumpkin latte and a regular latte. It was really good, the coffee was strong and had a great taste. However, I found it to be pretty expensive, as a medium latte was 7.50 (no flavor). The medium size was like a grande Starbucks size. The service was really great. The girl at the cashier was super nice and made us feel welcome. The place was pretty empty. It seems like people mainly go to order a coffee and leave, so it was very quiet. Even though the coffee was good, I'm not sure if id go out of my way to go back just because of the price. read more

Me and my family came to clematis to walk around and eat. We stopped at this cafe because I had to sit down for a few minutes (I am eight months pregnant). Instead of the lady asking if we would like to eat something she was to busy telling us we couldn't sit outside unless we bought something. She kept talking over my mom as she was trying tell her that I'm pregnant and needed to rest for a little bit. Mind you there was already no one inside. It is a cute spot but maybe if she was a little more considerate and inviting, it would be a packed spot. read more

Seemed to put a hard sell on things when we went in early Saturday morning. Coffee could be better if in a different cup because the medium size tasted like cardboard rather than the Jamaican coffee they sell there. The cup was so tiny. Also got the orders wrong , oh well. Sold us hot water... tried to just get hot water so one in our group could steep their own teabag. Charged us full price for a tea! Tried to support the local business as a tourist. This is obviously not the best way to put your best foot forward. We cashed out paying full price just to support, but hopefully they can do better for others. read more

She was just filling us in on how wonderful the coffee is and how it's been rated the best. Their located between Rosemary and Clematis street. Right across from 610 apartments. The coffee shop is adorable with plenty of indoor seating. When you first walk in, your attention will immediately be drawn to the dessert display. There's a large board behind the counter with the many coffee and food options. She was talking me up with the coffee that I had to try it. I ordered an ice coffee, due to the high humidity outside. I noticed instantly that my ice cubes where not normal looking clear cubes but espresso cubes. Genius! Seriously, why doesn't all the coffee shops do this!?!? While she was making my fresh cold coffee, I couldn't help but order the carrot cake. I was planning on sharing the cake with the boyfriend... but let's face it, he took too long to get home and he didn't know about it anyways. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. This place is over all amazing and looking forward to my next visit. Too many other options that I must try. I wish I could give a review less than one star this is the worst drink I've ever consumed, I usually get matcha lattes regardless of where I am and this was just soy milk and the woman pressed a spoon full of matcha against the walls of the cups hands it to me and tells me to "stir it before drinking" after charging me 8.65. There is a reason that they sit outside asking people to come in, don't make the same mistake I made save your money, the people are rude/pushy, the environment is awful, and I could make better drinks in a toilet. read more
