Subculture is hands down one of my favorite coffee spots. The vibe is always on point, the coffee is consistently top-tier, and it's the kind of place you can relax or get work done without feeling rushed. But what truly makes the experience next level is the service. Chloe is an amazing barista: super friendly, knowledgeable, and always remembers how to make my drink exactly right. You can tell she genuinely cares about her craft and the customers. Every visit feels welcoming and personal because of her. I'm gonna be honest here: as a coffee snob this didn't really hit. It: The cortado I got. Not it: the iced latte my wife got. The cortado was really smooth and not just straight up milk flavor. The iced latte tho was not great, I couldn't taste any of the coffee and it was pretty muted. The staff was pretty chill and looked happy working there but I couldn't help but think the atmosphere was a little dark and too moody for me, but it works for an urban setting like downtown for sure. Wouldn't be my first spot but if someone really wanted it I'd be good to get a cortado again. read more

I don't know what happened to this place, as it used to be very good, but lately I have given them multiple tries, just in case, but their coffee is really not worth the money at all. I get a decaf almond milk latte, and it tastes horrible. They don't even foam the almond milk, which I do at home just fine, so the entire cup is mostly milk to make up for the lack of foam and hardly any espresso. Basically $7 for a cup of nasty almond milk. Which I don't even think they use espresso as the "coffee" part, as it tastes like normal house coffee that's been sitting on a burner for too long. Very subtle flavor and a nasty burnt after taste. Highly disappointed when you spend over 20 bucks on 2 coffees and a snack. No wonder the Delray location is shutting down. read more

Awesome little alt cafe with great baristas. I visited for a week and went here twice. Chloe was so friendly and ended up being an acquaintance by the time i left. The other barista (pigtails and big glasses) was equally sweet and friendly. I felt instantly welcoming and Most important- the coffee was excellent! Strong and customizable. The vibes were there. Decent coffee spot with a unique blend of breakfast sandwiches, avocado toast options, and coffees. I always appreciate spots that can provide decaf coffee without using the Americano blend, telling me that they have a variety of flavors even for those who wish to defer much of the caffeine. My one gripe with this location is that it is impossible to park anywhere nearby. Double parking outside will immediately give you a ticket ($63) so you can only stumble upon this place while walking. There seems to be a considerable amount of space for reading, writing, and using the computer if you were looking for an off the beaten path office space. read more

What a nice coffee shop. As soon as you walk in the decor leaves you with an awe. Everyone in there were so nice and welcoming. I coffee was so good that I forgot to take a picture until I was almost done with it. Then I had to order a second one. That's just how delicious and refreshing it was. There's WiFi for you to use which allowed me to catch up on my emails. I would definitely come back the next time I visit WPB. read more

The perfect cozy little coffee shop! I stopped in here on my way to catch the Brightline because it's super close by. It has that cozy coffee shop feel, with lower lighting and games on the tables that you can play. I got my go-to iced matcha latte and I loved it. Just wanted to pop in to rave about the empanadas. They are a good balance of being tasty while healthy. Depending on the regional origin, empanadas can be deep fried or baked with oil/butter brushed on it, or just baked, and these are just baked. Obviously, deep-fried is better tasting and crispier but OMG the extra calories and who knows what oil is used. Anyway, I thought they did a good job of having a crispy exterior with a decent chew on the dough. There are three options: beef, chicken, and vegan curry. I had one each of the minced chicken and minced beef, and was surprised on how good they tasted without being overly greasy. I also confirmed with the staff that the beef and chicken ones didn't have cheese. And the dough part was thinner than what I've experienced. So, in summary, I love the empanadas here, especially the meat ones, because they are not deep-fried, are high-protein, low-ish carbs (for an empanada), and the filling wasn't overly greasy. And yet, good tasting still! This is the healthiest empanada I've had in a long time, lol! Bathrooms: Two single-occupancy ones; decently clean and functional. read more

I have been here many times for many years. I came here on a date about a year ago and the employee was so nice about suggesting foods and making sure my drink was correct and even remade my drink for me. The chai latte is second to none. I was surprised by the outrageous price of some of the baked goods specifically the empanada. Of course I will continue to come here when I'm in the area but will perhaps skip the food items at restaurant prices. Inside was a nice vibe but definitely a few people grandfathered into the cozy spots, not sure they were customers. read more

There's a giant brass orb/eyeball directing its gaze to mural that directs you to "drink coffee not kool aid". It's a perfect spot for work or hanging out with friends. Hi everyone. This is my oat milk latte from subculture. I really enjoyed it. I find that the experience I have when patronizing subculture has changed dramatically over the years. The services is always nice. The baristas are professional, and they know their stuff; they also seem to enjoy working there. The food quality is still pretty aight although there's not as much fresh to order going on as there was back in the day. I miss those kinds of food selections. So there's nothing I can really highlight or complement except that they do make tasty empanadas with a nice variety of fillings. The ambience is kind of dark and moody where poets would seem to be hanging out lol. (that's coming from a life long poet by the way.) But yeah, the ambience isn't like it used to be; a little more vibrant and lot more artsy and family friendly. And I kinda miss that about it. But they still make a mean latte. read more

I LOVE Subculture coffee, I was visiting my family over the holidays and I was so surprised by this gem of a location, great decorations, lovely atmosphere and the staff is even lovelier. My husband and I got the specials, we loved the vegan curry empanadas and were very happy at how vegan friendly it is. Lola helped us choose an amazing brunch and come to find out she makes all the specials! A really amazing woman with great taste, she made us our gingerbread lattes with extra love and made our trip for the holidays extra special. When asked where to get coffee near the Brightline station we were told to stop here. Walking in they had these side doors open to a huge second room, not that we could go in there because there was stuff everywhere and it was a mess. Why would they not be utilizing that space? Or keep the door closed? Coffee hoarders nightmare. For coffee, the place was good. Not the best matcha latte I've ever had but it was okay. I'm mostly upset about the Breakfast Biscuit I purchased. First off, it was $11. I'm from nyc, this is a crime. How in the hell is a premade biscuit with a egg and half a piece of bacon with some shredded cheese that is then heated up poorly $11. Honestly though, if it was good I could excuse the price but it wasn't worth it at all. The biscuit itself was the best part of the sandwich. The sad half a piece of bacon we got on the entire sandwich was absolutely raw in the middle and had just a tiny bit of the outside edge kind of cooked due to heating up. Bacon won't cook like that, especially when you just throw the entire sandwich in a toaster oven. The egg was fluffy but tasteless. Overall, just skip this! read more

What a cool coffee shop! They have some seating outside, but the inside is much nicer with some cushioned seating and convenient restrooms. There's even a couple of cozy tables by the windows near the entrance. There's some fridges with cold drinks and of course the coffee counter. Staff was welcoming. My friend and I came to Subculture Coffee as we wanted to try something new - and also because our hotel coffee was so bad that morning. They had breakfast items, pastries, coffee, teas, and also some refrigerated items like alcoholic drinks. My friend got the toasted coconut latte and I got a caramel latte with almond milk.
