We have had our motorhome stored here for a few years and things had been fine. Our motorhome was broken into and they stole the TV, Blu Ray player, stereo, and 2 pairs of binoculars. We reported this to their management and asked what they could do for it and they stated they didn't have coverage for this. We asked them to review the surveillance video and they said they would. They didn't seem to be too concerned about the whole thing. They acted surprised since they said there hadn't been any other break ins there. After looking on Yelp I see another customer also experienced a break in there in January so they weren't being honest with us. After not hearing anything, we inquired about the video surveillance and were told they didn't find anything. Interesting that their website mentions how secure they are with 16 cameras recording 24 hours a day but couldn't help us. I get that they may not be able to reimburse us for the stolen items, however, they didn't even attempt to help us with any sort of gesture such as 1 free month, half off a month, anything. It was like they didn't really even care and had more of an oh well attitude. There are lots of choices in the area and them not doing anything at all about it and acting like oh well told us we needed to move to another storage location, and we did. Had they made an effort to improve security or seemed interested in helping us may have kept us as customer. read more

We had various storage units with Blue Oaks for few years now; the rent does increase as one would expected. But never more than $20-$30 of the rent post on their website. This is our 5th storage facilities due to reallocation needs. From the gated security, cleanliness of open lots, to covered RV, to small rolls up to humongous unit like 12'x40' like what we have now... they were maintained well by Bob, who can be seen driving around in golf cart dragging a bar of magnet around and waving hello to folks. The facility has big dumpster for tenant needs, RV washing and dumping station that one of our visitor blurted out "nice facility!", spacious roads make plenty of room for moving trailer effortless, clean bathroom (open with daily schedule), we also love the sheer storage selection that can accommodate various vehicle heights; from the typical 7'8" height door to almost 10' height to provide worry-free for item mounted on rooftop off our trailer. They even allow electrician to install outlets to keep some item stored charged; like car battery, small trailer, etc. Given the convenient location to HWY 65, gas station, fast foods, etc., it's very easy for us to want to stay for extended amount of time here. read more

Fantastic Customer Service, great price for good size storage unit. Easy to set up billing and easy access 24/7. Enjoyed talking with the managers when I was there and they were out and about. Very clean restrooms and all other outside areas. Would highly recommend this storage facility. read more

This business not only has big storage units, they have BIG HEARTS for their community. Life Community Church,on Foothills Blvd, recently became a donation location for victims of the Butte and Valley fires. Within 24 hours of requesting their assistance , Blue Oaks Storage graciously donated a unit for the church to use for storage of the donated items. Staff is very kind and friendly. I've been customer of Blue Oaks Self Storage for several years. I started off with one unit and just purchased another one for my new travel trailer. Bob, Sharon and Sue have been great since day one! After telling Bob this was my first travel trailer, he stopped by to check it out. He even found me a great spot to park it... The facility is always very clean and I've yet to see any trash in the area. It's also nice to see so many cameras wherever you go. Every time I go in the office, I'm greeted by my name and asked how my day is going. One huge bonus is the full size wash station for your RV, boat or travel trailer. They even have an on site dump for your black water. Not too many places offer this option. There are also covered parking spots available. Getting in and out is a breeze since the location is right off Blue Oaks Blvd. The facility is very well laid out and it's not like other places where things are parked everywhere and without any sense of order. Another thing I noticed is the other renters are friendly and courteous. That tells me a lot about the people who choose Blue Oaks Self Storage to store their valuable possessions. I looked at several facilities around town. There was something about the customer service at Blue Oaks Self Storage, which made be decide to use them. They weren't just interested in trying to rent me a spot or lock me into some long term contract. Overall, it's been a great experience and I have the peace of mind knowing my valuables are in a clean, safe secure location. I would recommend Blue Oaks Self Storage to anyone looking for a storage facility, especially if you own a RV or travel trailer. I wish I could give this place Zero stars. We signed up for a 6 month deal with Bob and Sharon. Nice enough people. Got a spot with a great rate of $50 per month to store our travel trailer. After 6 months the rate changed to 100 per month. We have not used our trailer since October and decided to go check on it on 1/11/17. As soon as we got to the trailer we noticed that someone had gotten into our trailer. We found things out of place and even a rubber glove in our trailer(like a medical glove). We secured the trailer and head home. I get home and check the mail and what do I find...a letter from Blue oaks letting me know that they value my business but have to increase rates from 100 a month to....wait for it....$1,150 dollars a month!!! Who does that? I can get an indoor spot for 180 a month!!! These folks seem super shady! I will mention that during my first month I was asked to move my trailer because they were painting. I do and brought it back a few days later. The next week I found overspray all over our brand new 30k trailer. DONT USE THIS PLACE! Do your research and don't choose Blue Oaks Self Storage in Roseville CA!! read more

*** Try Rocklin Self Storage or Loomis Self Storage *** Let me start off by saying that I have never written a negative review on ANY vendor in my life. As a business owner, I know how damaging they can be to a business. However, our experience with Blue Oaks Self Storage more than justifies the rating and the time to write this review. My husband and I visited Blue Oaks Self Storage on Sunday June 26th about 30 minutes before closing. We were greeted by Sharon at the front desk and out came Bob (holding their dog Elvis in his arms). We inquired on the spaces they had available for a 23' ski boat. Bob drove my husband, our son, and me to 2-3 different spots. One of them (#35) was available and had a building on one side which we thought would be great to help protect our new boat from the elements. We asked if we could reserve the spot (as we were going to buy the boat the very next day) and Bob said, "Yes. We will hold the spot for you for seven days. All I ask is that if you decide that you no longer need the space, that you give us a call." Absolutely...no problem! We bought our boat on Monday (June 27th), insurance was put in place the next day (June 28th) listing Blue Oaks Self Storage as the location where our boat would be stored and they were even listed on our declaration page. I called on Friday (July 1st)---TWO DAYS BEFORE our space would no longer be reserved--and a woman named 'Sue' answered the phone. I kindly stated that I would like to come down to secure spot #35 and she said, "I'm sorry, that spot is no longer available." WHAT????? We spent 30 minutes down there, researching, and reserving that spot. Sue stated that "Bob and Sharon are off on Fridays and Saturdays, but I will see if I can call him and see what may have happened." Sue called me back about 10-15 minutes later and said, "I spoke with Bob and he has no recollection of you coming down and reserving that spot." WHAT?????? While I was down there reserving the spot, I asked if they had any pull through spots available to make our lives easier. Sharon looked and said that they didn't but that they had a waiting list and that she'd put my name on the list and that I was 4th on the list. Knowing that I could catch Sue and Bob in a lie (!!!!!) I innocently asked Sue, "Sue, can you please look at your list for pull through spots?" She said, "Sure" and I said, "Now can you go down that list and see XXXX (my first and last name) on that list?" Sue all of a sudden became silent (and apparently stupid) and stated, "I actually cannot access that list." I know (and she knew) that they were lying and I proved my point that I WAS at their location and that Bob simply sold the spot right out from underneath me. I own a business, I understand how tempting it can be to "go for the sure thing," but this company lacks the basic communication and business sense to even call me and say, "I have someone here who wants spot #35, do you still need it?" All of this occurred over the 4th of July weekend and I was stressing out over where we were going to store our boat. Fortunately I found a SAINT of a company (LOOMIS SELF STORAGE) by speaking with Dawn at Rocklin Self Storage. The two companies are owned by the same family and their customer service is TOP NOTCH! Dawn went above and beyond helping me secure a spot at their Loomis site (as the Rocklin Self Storage site didn't have any openings). Sean with Loomis Self Storage called me on his day off over the holiday weekend and spent a long time explaining pricing to me (MUCH CHEAPER than Blue Oaks Self Storage) and I actually got a pull through spot! I live very close to the Blue Oaks Self Storage site, but trust me when I say knowing that your boat is stored at a location run by professional, honest, and competent people is well worth the extra 5-7 mile drive! I strongly suggest talking to Dawn or Sean with Rocklin and Loomis Self Storage (respectively) for your storage needs. RUN from Blue Oaks Self Storage--They have no accountability or integrity! read more

When I got to Roseville, the condo I had rented had some issues and was not completely ready to move everything into.  I was in a bind and had to locate a storage facility that could accomodate me.  I went to Blue Oaks Self Storage and was greeted by Sue.
