I knew this was the right place to house our belongings when I asked the manager during the tour if they had issues with pests or theft, and he was mortified and responded "what kind of storage unit would we be if we had pests and theft happening?!" (A response I had not gotten from a different storage unit I toured before finding R and 21st storage). He then went on to share with me all the security and pest prevention measures they take. Booking the unit was easy, the price was reasonable, and it's very clean and professionally run. They have ample available carts and do a great job with security. They also have ample parking. Also because there's only one entrance and limited hours, we felt especially confident in our items staying secure and in quality condition. Cons - the hours are somewhat limited (particularly on weekends when they close at 4) and because it's a fortress vs. drive-up it does take a bit more effort (and time if using movers) to get stuff into the single freight elevator, down the hall, into the unit etc. All that to be said, it was the "cons" which gave us a much better sense of confidence, security, and anxiety reduction leaving our belongings here. You will absolutely get an arm workout from the lifting the elevator rolling door up and down though! We can't say enough positive things about the experience and it's great that it's located right in the heart of midtown!

The manager, Robert, was extremely helpful and spent half an hour with me answering questions and checking the storage unit and gate access to make certain everything was in working order. The facility is pristine and very modern, with a large reception area and motion-activated lights in the corridors and inside the units. Almost all of the units are internal, with none of the dust that is common at storage facilities with direct drive-up access. Robert said there are 1,200 units and I was among the first 10 renters. Initial prices are very competitive, especially for the downtown area. My rent is 15-20% less than I had been paying for a unit the same size at an older facility in an outlying area. The initial rate is guaranteed for the first six months. For now, access is quick and convenient, with no waiting for parking, elevators or carts. It will be interesting to see if that is still the case after it reaches full occupancy.

Both of which have been full of all of my most important and valuable belongings that are wrecked from this rodent issue. Including my young daughter's toys, clothes and other valuable belongings. I have complained with management multiple times and all they've done is put rat poison in that clearly does not work well enough. There have been multiple people at this location that have had issues with rodents. I'm not the only one that has found their items wrecked with dead rodents inside. The only thing that has been done by customer service is a $75 credit while I've been paying more monthly for months to store rat shit all over my belongings in two separate units.

More importantly, their customer service is just plain amazing (because they actually care and I can tell from experience). Second, their location is super clean, and inviting. They just recently updated their camera system and added even more cameras (keep in mind, they already had a ton of them to begin with and knowing that they live on site, already made me feel safe and confident about about this location and its security). Third, their prices and absolutely better compared to public storage and tiger and they don't try to rip you off with that $1.00 move in, because they are honest up front and don't have those sticky contracts that others get you with. Quite frankly, I totally recommend them, and will do business with them and will refer anyone I know here.

During this time Executive Mini Storage was purchased by Safe-Hold. They had send many messages but I must of missed the one where our code was changed. Fast forward to this past Sunday... I scheduled a time for our family to come and look through everything and take their items. Once we got there I couldn't remember by code (there used to be a formula on the keypad, the unit number and then the last 4 digits of your drivers license and * and # somewhere in the mix) The formula sign was missing, yikes!! We saw a car exiting and went in and wasn't sure how we were going to get our family in or even how we were going to get out. (Keep in mind it's Sunday and the office is closed) I walked over to the office to see if the formula was on the inside of the gate or check the saw a sign with an phone app. Once at the office area there was a very nice gentleman outside doing some lawn maintenance and I asked him if he could possibly help us, and when he said yes! He was one of the managers and would help us on his day off... that was AMAZING! Whew!!! I was able to get my updated code (which was nothing like the previous one) and let our family members in to go through stuff and the best part of all we could all get out, lol. I didn't get his name or have forgotten it... but I am truly grateful for your help. We have been trying to plan this day for years and it all worked out because of you! Thank you!!!!

Had Safe Hold storage for a few months to store my pro music equipment. I pick up enough stuff to…read moredo a job when needed. After my gig today went there to leave off what I used. The door had been cut out where the lock had been. They simply broke the revets and opened it. All my expensive equipment is gone. Just left me with a couple broken lamps and a blanket. Even if their insurance would cover the items, they only cover $2000, with is a fraction of what I lost. But then you must have receipts and pictures of the lost stuff so it's just a loss. I don't have receipts for all my equipment. "Safe" Hold Storage is anything but "safe". They got into my unit easily.

And they knew 2 weeks prior and didn't bother to call the guy and return his money. So I did and the owner tried to get the credit... I could not work for a company and sit there and represent them and lie to the customers or rip them off. Cause I am honest. And I can't believe they did not pay me for all they owe me... But she will have to... And everyone else... Bad business. She did not just steal from me but she took out of my daughter's and grandsons .
