Hi' hate giving a terrible review but Josh and the grounds are great but a few months ago apparently there was a rat infestation. I've had my unit for five years . Nooo problems ever. Always nice and clean - so i never thought to put lids on everyyythijg since i was trying to downsize and move to Florida . I came home after i year Away ... There had a rat infestation aND ALLL OF MY expensive clothing and shoes/heels/boots were Ruined. I had a Louis Vuitton bag in there that got ruined as well. These rats peed and pooped And left dander ALL OVER MY BELONGINGS WITH some sort of dust OR DANDER over every Single thing i own. I live in FLORIDA so i came back just to close my storage unit without knowing all of my thousands or dollars Worth of clothing was ruined (even some louboutins and Louis Vuitton's !!" A It was Thanksgiving week and I only had one day to execute the closing of the storage. We were going to take everything and sell it or take it home... But instead, everything was ruined and needed to be destroyed.. we had a car only with her dog in it, and we could not put all the items in our car because they were contaminated with urine and feces of rays. It was absolutely traumatizing and disgusting . The only help we got was Josh telling us that there was nothing they could do and that our unit needed cleaned out and brushed with a broom clean, even though all the shit poop piss and dander was from the disgusting rats that had invaded . Dirty units unhelpful people would never ever ever recommend although Josh is nice. I'm sure there's just limits to what he can do. read more

Buyer beware. Charged me a full extra month when I moved out because I gave the required 30 days move out notice three days after the deadline. What they did was fully legal, but I guess they prefer to hide behind their fine print than do the right thing for customers. Great way to lose business. Plenty of other options for storage out there. Including right across the street. read more

Josh is the guy that always dealsl with me. He is ultra helpful, polite, and very knowledgeable of sizing & how much space you will need for your storage He's went out of his way several times to contact me when my card had expired or didn't go through. He gave me more than enough time to receive a new card and give him updated information. He was very patient and understanding. The units are really clean and easy to access. Yes, I would definitely recommend this place. Ive been a tenant here twice. Very first time I rented an inside climate control space. Later, I needed a bigger space, so I got the one without climate control. Besides the climate control, this space was just as good as the first space I had. I have rented from these guys for a year. I gave 30days notice on the 15th of April for move out on the 15 of May. Today the 28th of April this place did an automatic payment withdrawal for the full month of Mays rent. WHAT A RIP OFF We made sure to give notice however did not expect a full months rent to be taken. I asked if we then stay until the last day in May what would happen. They told me we would then again owe another months rent. THESE GUYS ARE A RIP OFF. THE PREVIOUS GUYS THAT RAN THIS PLACE WERE GREAT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!! I have used Sierra College Self Storage over the past 5 years and I have always been treated more like a friend. They have a great way of making sure I am well taken care of. The faculty is clean and I never had an adverse issue. The carts that are provides have been on of the key features that make moving stuff in and out easy and efficient. Shady. I went in a couple weeks back when I was looking to lease a 5'x5' unit for approximately 6 months. In the same 5 minute conversation, he went from "I have no units in the size, it will be about 4-6 weeks before something comes available," to telling me to "keep my phone on as if one comes open he'll be calling me," and ended the conversation as I walked out the door by reiterating that "one may come open soon, so be sure to answer your phone and be ready to pay and move in!" At no time did he offer me a tour or show me any other options. My guess is that he wanted to rush me into an agreement on the phone rather than letting me see the unit in person and make an informed decision. And like clockwork, he called me less than two hours later. I didn't answer, because I was at that time signing an agreement at another, no-pressure storage facility who didn't play games. I almost don't know how to write this review, and the biggest reason why is that I feel like I would not be able to do my experience with Sierra College Self Storage any justice. Here it goes... Let's start with the fact that I had called SCSS on New Years Eve at approximately 12:30 pm, and I had come to discover that the office had closed about 30 minutes prior for the holiday. They offered to stay and wait for me to show me around. I had declined, but the offer itself was very generous! I had told them I would be back that week... Later that week, we had stopped by to take a tour of the place. Very, very, very, very clean! It was like it was a brand new facility. I had known about this facility for some time and remember when it had opened what seems like a decade ago and it still looks like it had just opened. The security features of the facility are top notch for its price level! I loved how each unit has fire sprinklers... you may say "Well what if your stuff gets wet?" I would rather it get wet than get burned, at least you can still tell what it was! The facility is well laid out, and they even make sure that plastic mats are laid down in each unit to minimize moisture! That's huge! In my opinion, the most important aspect of a storage unit is the management. I have yet to meet his wife, but Sonny is on another level of service. He is so nice, super accommodating, easy to talk to, and he runs a tight ship! When we signed for the storage unit, it was raining A LOT and was gusty, yet Sonny jumped into his cart and immediately cleaned out our unit and dried it off and left towels for us so that we could dry anything we needed. He really made us feel right at home from the very beginning. I can't say enough good things about this man. I have opted to bring in a check for all of my payments rather than opting for automatic payments so that I can catch up with Sonny and the rest of his staff. read more

Sonny/Jeanine are the most professional/accommodating people you could hope to work with. Sonny has gone the extra mile on every topic to ensure a good experience. 2. Facility is impeccably clean - I rented both an outdoor unit and an indoor unit (climate controlled); spotless on arrival. 3. Made an out of state move with 2 giant PODS as stress free as possible; Sonny coordinated entry of the PODS with the driver so I didn't need to be onsite. Luckily this facility was my first phone call - and they won my business. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for future storage needs and 100% recommend them. read more

I was looking for a clean and well managed self storage business. So many places in Sacramento are not as they have homeless living in them, get broken into, have bugs etc. I did some research and came across Sierra College Self Storage. It had great reviews so I gave it a try. I'm glad I did. John is super friendly and runs a tight ship. The units are clean, secure, and bug free. I eventually expanded to three units. John was professional and friendly with every interaction. Email reminders and online payments make the business end super easy. I highly recommend this place. Give John a call. Sierra College self storage was a lucky find for me! Sonny and Jeanine are warm, friendly and welcoming and have lots of local connections - terrific help for newcomers to the area like I was! The facility is clean and well-maintained. I used the indoor, climate controlled building and was really impressed that there has never been trash lying around and the floors are clean, lights all functioning...best storage place I've ever used. When I moved out, I had recently broken my leg and Sonny even insisted that I leave the empty cardboard boxes for him to deal with and not try to struggle with them myself. This place has such a homey, family-run feel and I can't thank them enough for their friendliness and help during my "stay." read more

I can say that I have happily used them three times over the past ten years and they have never once disappointed me or let me down. There's a reason why I always choose to come back. Their customer service is outstanding and they're really concerned with being there for people and making sure their most priced possessions are safely kept.
