I had seen other tour buses going around town and they seemed really corny and somehow I stumbled upon this one either through Yelp or Instagram, I'm not sure which one. People were saying that the tour was really good and it was narrated by somebody who seems well-versed and was realistic, not gimmicky. WELL..... This tour is not for the faint of heart. Our narrator and guide, Adam, was extremely thorough and to the point with the history of each of the locations. There were some funny quips here and there but he really got down to the chilling details so much to the point that I actually hung back from some points of interest. I won't spoil anything but if you're brave, have an open mind, or are maybe just a skeptic who likes a spooky tale...THIS IS YOUR TOUR. TIPS: Wear good walking shoes, stay hydrated ( wine, four loko or h2o will suffice ), if you go in the summer, be prepared for the humidity, and say your prayers. read more

Okay, first off you are NOT going into any place during the Zombie walking tour, however, with that said our guide provided a really great overview of a few select places that went far beyond the trolley ghost tour we took in a previous year. Unlike the Disneyland ending of that other tour this one was creeping real and went along at a great pace. Yes, we walked around but the time in between stops seemed to pass quickly and somehow we managed to get around a large part of the town. Our guide took us not only into the background and current stories but also the creepy fact that some of these places are empty and being funded to keep them that way. I wish Ghost Adventures would be allowed into some of the places allowed on the tour! (and I am actually glad the tour did not go inside!) read more

2018 Review 82/100 A fun ghost tour of Savannah. Let's face it. Haunted tours are a dime a dozen in this city. This is the only one I've experienced so I can't speak to the comparison to other tours. But we had a great time. Our tour guide was cool, fun and informative. We don't really get scared or creeped out with these types of things but this was a really cool and different way to learn a little more about the city. Nothing groundbreaking or super stellar but definitely a fun time. I recommend all who visit Savannah do at least one ghost tour, whether it's this or another. read more

We definitely wanted to do a ghost tour during our time in Savannah. The options are numerous and a bit overwhelming, so I was having trouble deciding on which one to choose. Yelp helped me decide on Blue Orb Tours, and we signed up for the Savannah Shadows Tour. The email confirmation was very detailed, and told us when/where to meet and what to bring/not to bring. Our tour guide, Brandon, was very knowledgeable of the history of Savannah and of the stops we made, and he made sure his voice carried so that everyone in the group could hear him. This was a walking tour that lasted around 90 minutes. I wouldn't say I was ever scared or creeped out, but it was interesting to hear the historical stories and see the architecture of the city. In my opinion, it was not worth the $53 we paid for two people, but I think that price is pretty standard when you're doing a ghost tour in Savannah. We had fun, but I probably would not do another one of these tours. read more

First ghost tour and were happy it was informative instead of cheesy! We did have the electricity go out on a whole block during the tour but found it more exciting visiting the park/cemetery during the day after getting the history from the tour. As we approached the playground, 2 swings out of 4 were swinging. They were swinging very high as if 2 children jumped off as we approached the playground. NO children or even adults were in sight! We were convinced they were ghosts because the swings were swinging so straight without any wind. We video taped the swings until they stopped! Super cool and surprised to see it in broad daylight. Also 2 of 3 of us got big goosebumps on arms and legs at the same time for a couple minutes (Temp was 80 degrees) walking through Forsyth Park. We went on a Blue Orb tour on a Saturday night in Savannah. What we got was an enjoyable well-rounded walking tour with a flare for ghost hunting rather than deeply historical. I think my wife was searching for that end while I tend to appreciate the history. Blue Orbs delivers more of the former, but has a little latter historical knowledge. I enjoyed it once, but I don't think we'll try it again. Pros: It's a well paced walking tour with a fun tour guide who was very forthright, entertaining and fun without being super corny. Blue Orb supplies plenty of images via ipad. One one hand, the ipad is kinda hard in any kind of large group, but on the other, what other way is there to convey these images? I generally appreciated it, although you can never look at an image for longer than a few seconds. Still something unique. Tour goods know the area well and can send you to good places after. Cons: It's probably slightly on the more expensive side. The tour was more focused on ghost hunting and looking for items that a deep historical knowledge. I would have liked to hear more about the history, but given Savannah's age, I was surprised not to hear more about some of the more colonial and reconstruction-era events. It was still entertaining. If you want cheese, this ain't it, chief. (I didn't want cheesiness). There was a lot of down time while walking. I guess I get it, but it seemed like the bulk of the tour was while walking and without any information provided. I think this was my primary gripe. Other notes: It's a walking tour, not a bus tour. Found this tour on google when planning our trip and took the tour through the downtown. Our guide Alex was very well informed and personable. His insight from living in Savannah was evident in his knowledge of the city's past. He provided a great history of the city while also providing an engaging experience for all people. If you don't believe in ghosts, you should still do this tour for the expert guidance of the city and high quality storytelling. If you are a fan of the supernatural, you will enjoy Savannah's history and culture as the most active city in the US. read more

But damn, that was one of the best tours ever. More specifically, my lady and I - along with a few other tourists - took the Uncensored Adults Only Zombie Tour guided by Adam and it definitely served as one of our main highlights during our first ever trip to Savannah. What it included: -Being guided around to six or so haunted locations in the city's Historic District. -Learning about the stories at each location, as well as seeing images and video apparitions by tour go-ers and other evidence found online. -Taking pics of haunted places. What you should know: -This specific tour starts at 10pm and lasts for a couple hours. -There's a lot of walking (according to my Fitbit, we traveled about two miles), so it's nice. -Drinking in public is A-OK, so definitely consider doing so on the tour. (Take the edge off, before possibly seeing something.) -Prices are $30 per person. (Sort of pricey, but worth it, IMO.) -Consider providing a tip. -We were told to meet at Chippewa Square the 10pm, but I think they change up start locations. I don't want to do a breakdown of each single stop, since that would totally take away from the tour, so check it out for yourself! read more

If you are looking for the best ghost tour in Savannah, stop researching and book the Blue Orb Zombie Tour. You will not be disappointed. Our tour guide was Adam. You could tell he really enjoys his job. He was fun to listen to, an excellent storyteller, with no corny theatrics whatsoever. We made 5 stops over the course of 2 hours and each one was just as riveting as the last. We actually stopped by a couple of the places again during the day so we could get a better look. For those wondering, this is a walking tour of roughly a mile or so. You do not go inside the properties, but you are allowed to take as many photos as you like. Each stop was accompanied by backup evidence on the iPad that Adam shared with the group. There are no zombies that chase you around or creepies with chainsaws - this is not a Halloween haunted house. This is authentic, real-life ghost stories in real-life places that will definitely gives you the willies. I highly recommend this ghost tour. Well worth the price and the time spent. read more
