What an amazing evening!! We set out for the evening on the Booz Cruise, and I just can't recommend it enough. Our guide Justin was a wealth of fabulous stories, humor, and pedal-party energy. Couldn't have had a better guide for our first time in Savannah. When our group shared with a local that we were headed out on a pedal tour there was a lot of cautionary tales of how difficult these rides can be, but we had a wonderful time and didn't feel like pedaling through Savannah was all that arduous. What an absolute blast of a bike tour! We had Cal as our tour guide and let me just say he was easily the most love able "Chill Bro" tour guide I've ever had. If you're looking for a G rated incredibly informative dry ride then this may not be for you. However as a party of 5 looking for a fun time with a sprinkle of some Savannah history Cal was just the guy for us. He really had us laughing and enjoying the moment every pedal of the way there. I wish we could've stopped at a few more bars but it's still enough to have you feeling a bit buzzed by the end. They also give you wrist bands that give you discounts at a little more than a handful of bars in the area. The pedaling can be tough at times but if you've got a good group working together then it's manageable still expect to break a sweat! The pedaling can be some work, but if you're in decent shape a Savannah Slow Ride can be super fun. Most of the people doing it are young, but at my ripe age of 73 I had no problem not only keeping up with the pedaling but with the drinking as well. Fact is my experience was just the proof of the fact that old age, treachery and years of overindulgent drinking will overcome youth and beauty every time. LOL! But, true! Oh, and I also confess to have enjoyed having some of the younger girls asking me if I would be their Daddy for the evening. Hahaha! First be award that all rides are not the same. They have a distinctive offering of six ranging from the infamous Pub Crawl (that of course is the one I did), to the Highlights of Architecture. It all sort of depends what your mood might be and what you are into. But one of the most important aspects for fun happens to be your riding companions especially if on the Pub Crawl because hooting, drinking and laughter are best when shared with others and my pedicycle crew did plenty of all three. And yes, the only power comes from the crew pedaling. There is no other source of power and the unique reason for that being if there were a power source other than your legs, they couldn't serve beer or have everyone aboard drinking or three sheets to the wind sloshed. read more

This is my 3rd time doing a pedal pub and this one was the worst. First of all we booked this for my friend who is leaving the area and she really wanted to do something fun. We book the "pedal pub" in advance. The night before we all got a text saying there wasn't enough people to do the pedal pub but we can do the ghost tour one. I wasn't too happy with the change up, if you were to ask me I would want a refund but they never offered that to us, just a reschedule. We got another text letting us know where to met up. First of all I live in Savannah and I know my way around.... you can't just give us an address lady. I would have liked a "met us under the "pedal pub sign at this location" We get there, check in sign the waiver and wait for our tour. Our driver was ok, kinda acted like he didn't want to be there. We were able to listen to music but it was soooo quite!!!!! I understand not wanting all of Savannah to hear our music but I could barely hear it in the back. Now the "ghost tour" part was just plain sad! He took us to the steep stairs and told us 5 people have died.....the end. Then we went to the first bar. We had 15 min. at each bar which was fine. The thing I didn't care for was we were at one stop and clearly no one wanted to get off. Well instead of leaving and giving us extra time at the last location we just sat there...... and he told us a ghost story of a hotel that we weren't even hear... The story wasn't all that great and people clearly didn't care for it. Some lady kept talking and he would say "let me finish" I think he finally gave up and went to the next stop. When we got back everyone was already gone and no one asked how it was or anything they just kind of stood there until we left. I wouldn't use this company again. We did the Boos Cruise on a girls trip to Savannah a few weeks ago. I think it's definitely geared towards a certain crowd and we were not it. Boisterous bachelor party? Sure. Twenty somethings still looking for nothing more than a buzz? Sure. We were a group of 40 year olds looking to have fun and hear about the Savannah ghosts and haunts. NOTHING!! We literally heard nothing but a quick tidbit at the very end of our boring bar hop. The bars weren't even cool or spooky. They were offering bad drinks, slow service and not much else. The bike blasted music, of our choosing so it was fun, but not conducive ghost story telling. Look advertise the ride for just what it is - bike ride bar crawl. Forget the misleading haunted ride. I'd have rather paid for a true haunted tour. Our guide was lovely and pleasant though. read more

Bike riding and drinking are two of my favorite things, so whenever I visit a city that offers me the opportunity to do both... at once... I jump at the chance. Savannah Slow Ride is 40 dollars per person. For that price, you get two hours of pedaling mixed in with 4-5 short stops at various bars around town. You are given a wristband that grants you access to various drink specials at the bars. Because it's Savannah and there are open container laws you can also take your drink to go and enjoy it on the bike. AKA you can get pretty inebriated while doing this. Our tour guide was super sweet and friendly. He was able to play the music of our choice and gave us a bit of info / history about Savannah. You can opt to rent a private bike or go with another group. If you have a smaller group it's pretty fun to go with a big group -- our group of four did that and they definitely kept the energy high. Savannah has alot of history tours and alot of ghost tours, but don't overlook a bike and bar tour either. It's a great way to see the city while getting some exercise in a enjoying a few drinks. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Giving this 2 stars simply for our driver. If not for him, 1 star. I'm horrendous with names but he had a southern accent and the only worker who appeared to shower all week. WHERE DO I BEGIN?! My group arrived 15 minutes early to the facility, which is falling apart. The building's state would not be noted on here if it were at least decorated or clean. Trash everywhere and the employees (with the exception of the clean cut driver we had) were all dressed as though they rolled out of their beds and did not appear to want to be there. After waiting about 10 minutes to be checked in (I was never even personally checked in nor given a waiver to sign so let's be glad I didn't get injured?) a larger set woman with short dark hair, who appeared to be the acting manager, approached my group to check us in. Why did it take 10 minutes you ask? The managing lady was clearly intoxicated on alcohol (I know this because she joked about it WITHIN EAR SHOT OF US) and appeared to be complaining about people there for rides. PEOPLE WHO PAID FOR THIS SERVICE. ARE YOU ANNOYED THAT PEOPLE WHO PAY TO KEEP YOU EMPLOYED ARE HERE FOR WHAT THEY PAID FOR? I'm fairly certain they were all passing around an electronic Marijuana vape, making the staff under the influence of drugs. If you own this facility, please check your surveillance tapes!!! NOTE: if not for a very young skinny girl with long dark hair, I'm not sure we would have got on our bike in a timely manner. I think she's a manager or sort of crew leader. She did not appear to be partaking in the employee drug and alcohol free for all, and kept her composure kind and professional. A little quiet, but leaps and bounds on the others. Another man working there looked high on something, so incoherent that an older larger woman who worked there had to smell his breath then STILL let this man drive a group of people on a bike!!!! WHAT?! On our ride we made several stops to check out local bars. While walking past a different Slow Ride bike, we witnessed a shorter girl yell at her riders loudly. The riders seemed extremely uncomfortable. We later ran into those same people who stated they were supposed to do a spooky pub crawl, but the young woman spent the entire ride giving them attitude and did not appear to know the city history. Who is doing the hiring here? As a Savannah native who has always seen these bikes downtown having fun, I had higher hopes for this experience to show my out of state friends a good time. At least we got wrist bands with drink specials. Call me a young Karen if you wilI, but I do not recommend this. I even called to speak to a manager about this situation and got no where.
