I had a gentleman that had serviced my pool for many years he was moving. This made me feel that I would need to start searching for a new service. That, I wasn't looking forward to at all. I had a routine in place, I have two really sweet dogs that spend most of their time in the pool area. One is aggressively affectionate, and is a big Labrador puppy. The other is just a big sweet heart, but still a puppy. I worried about them using the equipment as play toys, so they needed to be in a locked area while the pool is being serviced. So what ever company that took over needed to be reliable, with good communication. To make a long story short. My prior pool service guy brought Danny to me. That was about a year ago. Since then, Danny has proven to be reliable, if I text him for any reason almost any time of the day he responds. His respectful ways are spot on. I feel that I have had the opportunity to see him grow as a family business. I enjoy hearing about his children. He works with you, I know he has never tried to take advantage with dishonest tactics. He's the kind of guy, that if he feels something needs to be replaced, he'll do what he can to get as much life out of it that he can, and get the best price for you if it needs to be replaced. Excellent service! I had originally requested a quote from Blue Pacific Pool Service and Yelp sent my request out to four different pool contractors. I quickly learned about costs of pool services and leak detection out of necessity because they all called me within the hour! I ended up going with Blu Pacific Pool Service because the price quoted was reasonable and the owner Danny (also the person who called me to give me the quote), seemed very knowledgeable and offered some advice that I could have used even if I hadn't used his services. He came out to my house when he said he would and proceeded to get right to work troubleshooting my system. He knew what to look for and was able to fix a problem with air getting into the system. He also cleaned the filter which was a huge help in getting the pressure back into my system. The pool guy I used to have said he cleaned it but when Danny opened up the filter tank, he said it was so dirty that it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I am glad I got rid of my old pool guy and went with Danny instead, it was well worth it! read more

I'm honestly very surprised about the high star rating on this Pool Service provider. I think it might be from people that don't know about pool cleaning/maintenance, like I was when I first hired Blue Pacific. When I first hired this service, Daniel the owner, was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. He came to my house, did a quick strip test and said my Pool seemed to be in good shape. He gave me a reasonable service quote, much in the range of other pool service providers. So I hired him.... this was about July of 2017. Since then my pool has looked very clean and seemed like chemical levels were maintained. However, I recently started to research on my own how difficult it is to maintain your own pool. I found out it's easier than you think. Yes, it requires learning about the chemical balancing and proper maintenance practices. But not too bad. I have friends that maintain their own pools and have shown me how to do it. I recently contacted the owner and told him I would no longer be needing his services. I bought my own testing kit and started to do some tests. I was shocked at the readings I was getting! They were literally off the charts... my CYA was ridiculously high(over 100ppm and ideally it should be around 30-50ppm), my pH was ridiculously high (way over 8.4 and ideally it should be around 7.2-7.8), everything seemed way off. I did these tests a couple times and got the same thing. Now I'm thinking this pool guy was doing his weekly routine and making sure my pool was balanced. If that was the case, then my readings should have came out balanced or at least a little off (meaning it just needed a few chemicals to regain balance), but definitely not what I got on my readings. I talked to a few other people with pools and they mentioned the same to me, "even though it looks clean, it may not be clean. You should learn how to clean your own pool, so you know in fact how clean it is". See as a home owner, that has never owned a house with a pool, or know anything about maintaining a pool, we depend/trust on pool service providers like Blue Pacific to keep our pools clean, not only for our families, but for our guests that come to enjoy our pool. I can only report on my own experience, can't say anything about other reviews here. I'm sure Blue Pacific knows how to clean and maintain pools, they wouldn't be around if they didn't. I just wasn't happy with the results of my own personal water tests. But my advise to customers is, learn how to test your own pool. That way you can rest assured that your pool guy is actually maintaining your pool properly. If not, then you can bring it up to them and maybe consider getting another pool guy. Or maybe consider maintaining your own pool. You'll be surprised how "not difficult" it is. Unfortunately I realized this after I had cut ties with Blue Pacific. Hope this helps other people think twice not only of Blue Pacific, but any pool cleaning service provider. The monthly maintenance cost is already high for something you can do yourself for much less or even consider getting the pHin pool monitor for about half the price that you spend on a pool cleaning service. You don't want to later learn that your pool guy wasn't quite doing his job properly. read more

The reason I chose this service was from all of the very positive reviews on here. My father passed away in February and his pool turned into a green, murky, nightmare of a swamp. I contacted Danny and he was prompt and honest. After talking to Danny he assessed the pool and was able to start on it right away. He and his brother Andy had drained, power washed, and repaired the filter. There was a very large black stain at the bottom of the spa. He treated it and said over time it should fade. Whatever he did made the stain dissapear the next day. The nightmare of a swamp is now the blue lagoon it used to be. My father visited me in a dream the night my kids and I went swimming in the pool for the first time in a long time. I think he is very happy with the transformation. My mom's friend used to service our pool, but that didn't work out and then my husband and I had hired another pool service. We are very loyal people, so we stuck it out with our last pool man even though we knew our pool wasn't in the condition it should be in. At one point, he kept raising our rates and the pool kept looking more and more terrible. It finally turned green so enough was enough. I called Danny and he was super kind. We made an appointment for him to take a look at our pool. He was honest and did a thorough exam of everything (skimmer, water color and levels, algae, the motor, etc). His rates were reasonable and he's very transparent as to where all of your money is going. It's nice to know you aren't being ripped off! He answers calls and texts in a timely manner and our green pool is now turning blue and it's only been a week since we hired Danny.
