My fiberglass pool was leaking so we decided to replaster. I had a couple of quotes but Walter was most knowledgeable and most friendly. His quote wasn't the lowest but he seemed to be the most trustworthy. I had the pool replastered, new skimmer and a pool heater installed by him. Basic tiles are included but custom tile arrangement was an additional cost. It took a couple of weeks but Walter had great communication during each time his team was working. Post-replaster, my pool guy falsely claimed he could do the water startup. He wasn't doing what was needed. So, I called Walter and he had his own pool guy finish the startup on emergency. I was very thankful. There is still a bit of scale that I have to manage. I also had issues of water loss. Walter was very responsive towards my concern and came out to test for leaks. Dye test was done. It was most likely just evaporation. Walter is very professional and knowledgeable. I think he is trustworthy. Very responsive in communication. We just had our pool redone by Wally's Pool Repair and are extremely happy with how it turned out. I interviewed four companies and each one had their own style, but I felt the most comfortable with Walter. He took the time to explain what the possibilities of the pool we could do, offered several options and knew the local codes to ensure the pool was done properly. He started the project within a week so we were happy to get the project going. The one characteristic that made him stand out was when he said he was going to be there on Monday, he was there. Anyone who's done a home project knows that this is the most frustrating part of the process. His guys actually showed up each day and the project took just a few weeks. It appeared that they worked on one project until it was completed instead of being spread too thin. We added a baja shelf, some stairs that are pretty stylish, the pebbletech material and replaced the pool pump. For the pebbletech we threw in some abalone shell too and that really gives it a sparkle. Walter went way above and beyond by also fixing our pool light rather than replacing it. Overall, I could not be more happy with the project and the work that Walter did. I would recommend him to anyone looking to get their pool redone from a small project to a large. Very disappointing business. I highly do not recommend this Walter's services. My husband and I waited for 3 weeks to get an appointment with this guy and at the very last moment (the day beforehand), he cancels. Throughout the three weeks, my husband had spoken to him on the phone to talk about the issues I needed fixed for my pool. He seemed really great. They corresponded through text and he mentioned how he care about giving good service - whether it is a large or small project. He assured my husband about his professionalism. Well, the day before he is schedule to come, he cancels and says to us, "something doesn't sound right sir" as if I'm trying to scam him or something. It was the weirdest thing. All I did was explain that I wanted a quote for a specific issue and asked him for his professional expertise and he answered like that. It was so strange. Then he said that he would not be going to the our scheduled appointment and said that there are plenty of good pool repair people in the area. Then he bid him goodnight over text. It was so nutty. In all my years of working with different types of contractors... this is probably the strangest. He gave me no good explanation. Just canceled. When I asked, no response. Walter replaced my 30 years old stainless steel DE filter with a new Pentair DE filter. The pool is super clear now. I also asked him to also replace a 3 port diverter valve, but he suggested the O ring be changed since the valve was still functional. His honesty saved us some money. I found Wally as i scanned the Yelp site. I sent a message regarding my 20 yr old pool equipment thats been acting up. He quickly replied and made an appointment for the following day. When he arrived i explained the issues and the fact my pool pump was killing me with the electricity costs, and the fact it sounded like a loud train. Long story short, a week later he and another employee installed a new whisper quiet variable speed pump, and the omnilogic control system. He opened up my heater and cleaned it. He advised me that it was fine and didnt need replacing. Needless to say i was very pleased with his professionalism and promptness.
