My first time trying Detroit style pizza was at Blue Pan Pizza shortly after moving to Denver! Ever since, I haven't looked back it's my favorite style of pizza. I especially love the thick focaccia style bread and caramelized cheese along the edges. If it's your first time I recommend getting the Brooklyn bridge it's their best pie imo. But sometimes we switch it up and get the Sweetie Pie. Their Cesar salad is really great as well. This time we also tried their big mozzarella sticks which were yummy and somehow light it made the perfect appetizer after a long morning at the lake. Service is always friendly! The pizzas do take a bit longer to prepare than other pizzas but it's worth the wait I promise you. I love that this location also has a patio area for when the weather is nice. Blue Pan had been on my Denver list for awhile now, and we finally made it here for lunch. I went with a small Detroit, half Little Rose and half Brooklyn Bridge. My wife went with their lunch special which is a large slice of Detroit, salad and a drink. The pizza was great! All the toppings were high quality and so tasty! I loved the garlic on the Little Rose. So much of it and so delicious! The cupped pepperoni was great and so was their sausage! Everything about both halves were great! The crust was cooked well with a good cheese skirt. Delicious! My wife enjoyed her lunch special and we both agreed this was our favorite pizza we had in Denver. Read the reviews and thought while staying in golden I would try Blue pan pizza Reviews look good. I was greeted by the receptionist and cashier who was so friendly and nice. This place is delicious! I heard great things about this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Not to say that on Wednesday kids eat free! We had plenty of pizza to go which was great considering that it's not cheap but totally worth it. Great customer service overall. Lots of parking. I can't believe I have now discovered Blue Pan Pizza. We came here for dinner and it was extremely busy. Luckily we only needed a table for 2 so we were seated right away (definitely longer if you have a bigger party - lots of families). The parking lot is small so you might end up parking on the streets or across at the bank (only when they're closed - don't be that person). The food was so good. The eggplant fries are different but quite yummy. I cannot remember the pizzas we got but they were very tasty. The whipped cheese on top was so delicious. You will definitely leave filling very full and we had extras. One pizza would be enough to feed 2. We ordered too much so brought it home for leftovers. read more

We were going to have a lazy day Mother's Day, but decided to try out Blue Pan in Golden instead. We arrived and were seating quickly, even though there were quite a bit of people there. Our server was very nice, I loved her 2 headed calf tattoo. She was consistent and always there when we needed her. The food is delicious. I'm not too much of a deep dish type guy, I like NY style, but I had to try Blue Pan. Glad I did. We got a simple pepperoni pizza, and it was delicious. The arancini were some of the best I have ever had. The place is cozy yet has a vibe of a sports bar sort of place. It's unique, and I love it. We'll be back for sure. read more

Stopped in with the family for pizza last night. I'd called ahead to check on the wait- 2 littles past their normal meal time + a wait = . I spoke to a really nice guy on the phone, and we headed over. Our server was nice as well. The restaurant was clean (my 5 yo said the bathrooms were VERY fancy- not sure what he meant but thought I'd include it as he was impressed) but it was very loud. We got one of the bruschetta apps and the Brooklyn Bridge Detroit style (our favorite from the Highlands location we used to frequent). It was as tasty as ever. Great food, great service, ambiance was solid and plenty of parking. Ordered a Detroit style large pizza for $23.00 but you can split it for two flavors! Decided on the Brooklyn Bridge and Prospector. Flavors were good overall just lacking a little bit of salt. A large was too much for two people to finish in one sitting so was able to bring it home and reheat. Love that they have instructions on the box to reheat it. I know we are outliers here but we don't like Blue Pan pizza. First, the cost. It is definitely premium pricing. This most recent time, we got two pizzas to go and it was over $65 (both thin crust with one of them gluten free). Second, it takes forever. Third, we just don't think it tastes great and ingredients can be scant. While it is nice to have gluten free options, neither crust style is very appetizing. We have eaten from here five times total and this will be our last one. read more

Called in for a large half and half pizza to go around 7pm on a Friday. Half Sweety Pie and the other half Brooklyn Bridge. It was a 30 min pick up time, which was honestly pretty fast for a busy night! It was a quick and easy pick up and nice to see they keep pick up orders in a food warmer until you get there so everything stays hot. The inside of Blue Pan was busy but felt very cozy with the warm lighting and music playing on the speakers. Pizza stayed hot during the 12 minute drive home and was delicious! The amount of ingredients was good, the dough was fluffy and crisp on the edges and the presentation just makes for a good looking pizza. These pizzas are pricey but nice to treat yourself to every so often since I can't deny how good they taste! read more

Stellar pizza! We had the Parma Italia and the Brooklyn bridge, both Detroit style, and we were blown away but the flavor. Blue Pan is such a gem, if you're a pizza fan. They've got options and we def needed them with 4 picky eaters in our party of seven. Seating? We waited for less than 5 short minutes and were sat in their enclosed patio. Our servers were friendly and patient - it's small details like this that always catch my eye when I'm with larger parties. The entire process of ordering and keeping things topped off was great. We never had to ask for anything. They happily spilt our check as well and took great care of us. And now, let's talk pizza. My guy and I ordered the smaller Detroit style pizzas: 3-1-3 and Prospector. These are gigantic and we def took away left overs despite doing our best to tackle these. Both were so tasty yet different. Fresh ingredients made all the difference. I'm a fan of fresh arugula on my pizzas and if you've not considered it, the 3-1-3 has your name on it. What's maybe my favorite thing about the Detroit style pizza, aside from it being deep dish, is the cheesy goodness baked into the crust. Both pizzas were fabulous when we had them there and later as leftovers. And if deep dish isn't your jam, check out the NY style. They've got you covered. Their cocktails were great as well. We absolutely love blue pan and we were excited to find out that this location had a place for our daughter to play so we could actually enjoy our meal. Well come to find out the patio is takeout only and had a 45min wait, kind of insane when you could use the same concept as eating at the bar for patio guests. This defeats the point of going out to eat. I could have dinner at home and let her play around. Won't be coming back to this location because eating inside with a play space outside is just not worth it. read more

Wow!!!! Everything was Good! Came here for lunch and got the lunch combo- Detroit slice / salad / soda. First off, the Caesar was amazing with a strong kick of garlic flavor. I got the specialty pizza (little rose). This slice is Huge first of all. Second, two different kinds of pepperoni to get that smoky / salty flavor and balance that out with ricotta dollops that were just heaven. The best part was it's like $13 for the lunch special. This place is a must! The pizza was excellent and I'll be craving it days from now. The Detroit style pizza was light and airy and very flavorful. Be sure to check out the seasonal pizza. Kids were able to order ingredients and make their own pizza which they thought was super fun and occupied their time. Staff was very friendly. We sat on the covered/screened in outdoor area. Make sure to ask for honey, hot honey, or a variety of homemade ranches to dip your pizza into. Also bathrooms are non-gender specific and clean. Can't wait for my next trip here! read more

I've loved blue pan for a while and just learned about the Golden location! Just as great as the Denver locations! Service was excellent and the food is always delicious! We ordered the caprese salad, which is fresh and so much flavor! We each got a small Detroit style; one was half Brooklyn bridge half Greek and the other was half Brooklyn bridge, half Diavola. The Brooklyn is a fan favorite for obvious reasons, it's so good and you can't go wrong with this one! The Greek was good, but would probably not order again, and the Diavola is a little spicy but really great flavors and the hot honey pulls it all together! Dip the crust in their garlic ranch and it's perfection! The only complaint was we waited much longer for our food than other tables that arrived after us, and our pizza was lukewarm by the time we got it. read more

Not normally a fan of deep dish but they do it well for sure. The crust is lighter than you'd expect and it has a perfect chewy texture to it. My son got the make your own kids and gobbled it down. I did enjoy Blue Pan, but to be honest I don't understand the hype. To me it's above average pizza for sure, but not my favorite in Colorado/Denver area. Just seems like a typical NY (Detroit) style pizza to me. It came out fresh, hot and cooked well. The service was great, but they are a bit expensive. I will say their sizes are better than most places, but it does come with a cost. I'd say definitely go to Blue Pan and try it out for yourself. I've definitely heard the "best pizza in Denver" argument, but I would not say that. I'd say top 5 in Denver. The service was really good and the pizza came out fairly quickly. We always order the Brooklyn Bridge and Antipasta salad delicious, during peach season they had last year a peach with a balsamic reduction it was delicious and very creative. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The owners have made the environment friendly for friends and families. Parking is always available as well. read more
