This was the perfect final stop of the day. It was our first time visiting this new location-years ago, I had been to their original, much smaller spot, so it was a surprise to see how much the place has expanded. The new space is massive, open, and beautifully laid out, with tons of room to hang out and enjoy a drink. We chose to stay outside with Luna since the weather was perfect, and the outdoor setup didn't disappoint. It had a relaxed, upbeat vibe and plenty of space for both people and pups. The brewery felt lively but not overwhelming, and the wide-open layout made it easy to spread out and unwind. If you haven't been to their new location yet, it's definitely worth the trip--especially on a nice day when you can enjoy the dog-friendly outdoor area. Great atmosphere always! Crowded on the weekends. Family friendly, lots of little munchkins running around. Pup friendly too! A lot of times they have a band in one of the rooms upstairs. Not my favorite beer selection, but the blueberry is my favorite. Always a good experience with the food. Most recently we had the chicken Caesar wrap with fries and added the donut for dessert. Blue Point is a bit of a hike for us, but we love spending a Sunday afternoon at their Brew Pub. The location is spacious, with a large outdoor seating area during the summer. They offer a variety of beers and speciality drinks that change season to season. They offer a pretty large food menu as well. Large, lively spot to enjoy a wide variety of Blue Point ales, lagers, stouts and IPAs. The food is solid for the most part. The fish and chips are on point but the disco fries were a bit salty for me. I'm terms of beer, the Dark Portal stout is flavorful yet filling. The beer is good. However, the brewery... We went to what I think of as the "main" bar (at the top of the stairs). There were 2 bartenders behind the bar, we sat down and they both disappeared. One came back and acknowledged us but didn't ask if we needed anything. He spent a few minutes playing with his phone then ran off again. We sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for some kind of service, but it never happened so we went to the other side. On the other side there is a bar, but it seems like a temporary setup. Just kind of a long plank in front of where the bartenders are and a bunch of taps behind them. If they were going for a minimalist theme they surely got it. As for the environment - look, I get that every place wants to be "family friendly" these days. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and there were easily 20 dogs and probably 30 - 40 kids in the place. Are dogs really allowed in a place that serves food? And why are there kids in a brewery? I don't mean to sound like a grumpy old fart but I prefer my breweries to cater to adults. Maybe keep the dogs outside and exclude kids on weekends? I've been to other breweries that have the QR code on the table so you can scan, order food and drinks and they're delivered to the table. And you can take care of your tab right from there too. Something like that here (at least in the big room) would be great. Overall, I'll say the beer is good. The environment doesn't really thrill me. read more

Really nice place to sit, relax and have a meal while listening to live music with my dog next to me. I'm not a big fan of the burgers but the fries and Shrimp tacos are delicious. What a Friday night at BluePoint. They definitely hold some great events. Friday was no cover -cover band "Blink 180-Who"! The house was definitely packed and later on service got a bit slow. One of my biggest pet peeves at bars is lining the counters with chairs, makes it super difficult in getting access to service. Bonus Blue Point had their outside bar open much less crowded but did stop serving food when it got too busy inside. Upstairs also had the West side of the building (where the stage is) bar open also. If you wanted to stand in line a bit there and listen to the Jams. We ordered the cauliflower, pretzel and some wings. Cauliflower were some pretty large heads a little inconvenient, and pretzel with everything seasoning... minus the salt, weird considering it's a pretzel. But to each their own the dipping sauces were great. And tropical storm Betsy cruised by with minimal mist, thank goodness bc the majority of windows were open upstairs. read more

I am always looking for something out of the ordinary for beer drinking or ar least something out of the ordinary for me. Which I feel can be a pretty steep order. And if it isn't that then just a well made beer. Well, Steve and I were both very impressed with the Toasted Lager from Blue Point. We both have become lagerheads as time has gone on and the lager had a little bit of each we were looking for. Something a bit different and well made. Flavors to expect with this lovely lager is a well balanced sweetness, hoppiness and maltiness all combining together to make a nice, smooth lager. And yes, it tasted a little bit like it was toasted. Really a great lager! We didn't try any of their other beers to see if we were just as impressed but wow, what a great start! read more

first time coming here, and honestly not so sure about it. Went on a weekend so it was definitely packed on the outside but inside was decently slow. We ordered oysters and the birria nachos. I don't think the nachos were anything to rave about. The meat was not good at all, definitely was not birria. The kitchen seemed to be confused, there was about 5 workers standing around and we sat close to the kitchen that we could see our order sitting there and they still weren't moving. Definitely a place for drinks and nothing more. Table side service is not it. The ambiance is fine, your typical brewery. While it was good to bring our daughter for us to grab a drink it was definitely overpriced and not worth the trip. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon on a whim. Have heard great things about this place, but I wasn't too thrilled. It wasn't a great vibe, it felt like an empty, dark school cafeteria. It was confusing where to order food, didn't see an indication for that. I got the mango green tea which tasted watered down and had no essence of tea in it. This brewery is awesome!! We had a work party here and the place was packed. Even though there were a lot of us, the service was excellent. We didn't have to wait for anything, including all the drinks people were ordering. The staff behind the bar, and the servers were also amazing! They were attentive, friendly and were never overwhelmed by our party. This place is huge, but the atmosphere is welcoming and energetic. In one part of the brewery they have a stage for bands, which we didn't get to see since our party ended at 7. I am not a big fan of beer, but the beers they were serving were excellent, and I discovered that I really love their Blueberry ale. We will all be back and look forward to another awesome experience! Fun night listening to some great live music! It was pretty busy but still found a spot on a picnic table to snag so we could order food. Order at the bar then tell them your name and table number. The food came quick! I ordered Firecracker salmon bites - delicious and just needed Chulula for some spice on the rice, salmon and cucumbers. Great brewery with plenty of indoor and outdoor lounging areas. They host mini outdoor events hosting local vendors while you get a chance to grab a cold beer at outdoor bar. When you walk indoors you have an area to purchase 4pk, 6pk, keg orders, buy a shirt. As you wander upstairs to the bar you have open table and game tables to spend some time while sipping their great cold crisp brews relaxing. This flows over into a larger open room where they have food you can order along with live entertainment as you get a sneak peak overlook of their manufacturing plant...so clean and presitine, any home brewers dream I'm sure. As far as their beers I'm a fan of the Mother Pumpkin beer during the fall/autumn season and the Blueberry beer anytime of the year. This visit I tried their Calamari appetizer and it was crispy, crunchy and absolutely great bites while drinking any of their smooth cold ones. Yesterday I decided that instead of going to a coffee shop with my laptop, I would "work from home" at the Brew Point Brew Pub. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a formidable yet extremely friendly and down to earth bouncer, who politely checked everyone's ID's. I love that they take underage drinking seriously and am always flattered when forking over my license. The layout is wide open and has plenty of natural light. I loved that there was a ton of space to move around and feel comfortable, which is especially important during these weird times. If you're feeling active, they have air hockey, foosball, and shuffleboard and also a great view to boot. I arrived before the after-work rush and pretty much had the whole bar to myself for a while. Once it started to get busy, I found myself really enjoying the company. To my surprise and delight, no one seemed to mind that I was plugging away on my laptop. In fact, one fellow patron remarked "Great idea! I think I'll come back and do work from here sometime too." One of their aesthetic focal points are their massive windows which overlook the brewery operation below. It's so nifty seeing all the behind scenes machinery and conveyor belts doing their magic. On the odd chance you get bored at the main bar, there's also an entire backroom, which features even more space to hang out, plenty of picnic tables, an amazing mural and also their kitchen. Speaking of food, I ordered a burger with sautéed onions and mushrooms, on top of a brioche bun- it was gosh darn delicious! It was so good that I scarfed it down before the bartender could even ask me how it was. There seemed to be well over a dozen different beers on tap, so plenty of options for every palette. I went out of my usual comfort zone and ordered a "Mexican Chocolate" stout. I really liked it's smooth and strong profile and took my time enjoying it sip by sip. I could totally see myself coming here quite often. Everyone from the staff to fellow customers were all quite friendly and jovial, which really made for a great time on a Wednesday afternoon. At first myself, my buddy and my beautiful dog Kilo began by hanging outside, Kilo settled in fairly quickly and adjusted to "just hanging". It got real cold even though they have a ton of heaters all over outside. I decided to see what the deal was with bringing dogs inside, kilo is a service animal but i dont push the limits with people eating and what not, Kilo and i understand not everyone loves dogs as much as i do. "Of course he can come inside"...... WOW i freaking love this place!!! Fresh beer, dog friendly, staff was absolutely awesome and the kicker, you ready...... fucking dogs everywhere and i swear almost every patron was all about them!!! Kilo was getting so much love! We had french fries and some boneless wings, not even sure of the flavors my buddy ordered them, but everything was very good. Plenty of seating, lots of communal behavior which is amazing for socialization of us people and of course the dogs lol. Id suggest stopping in to hang they have plenty of stuff for kids and adults alike to keep busy. Games outside, room to roam. One of our best local breweries on Long Island, this newish location in the space formerly occupied by Briarcliff College offers a great selection of beers and food inside and outside. The service is great and they have an enormous selection of beers in addition to their flagship beers like Hoptical Illusion so regardless of your preferences you're likely to find something to fit your palate- they now even serve a selection of spirits and cocktails. The food is also eclectic ranging from bar food like nachos, burgers, and a pretty spectacular oversized everything pretzel to more specialized tacos and one of my favorites, baked macaroni and cheese. We hadn't been indoors here and when we heard that our friends were performing upstairs we couldn't wait to check it out! What a truly pet & family friendly place! The dance area was filled with good natured folks dancing and singing along respecting each other's spaces & also kind of communally keeping an eye out that the dancing little ones didn't get knocked or bumped. Walking in we immediately noticed the fun atmosphere with super friendly staff. Clean bathrooms, and open air seating on upper level. Outside picnic bench seating too the day we were here. Our beers and food came out quickly. Can't beat a Blue Point Blueberry Ale, Toasted Lager, and Hoptical Illusion! They shucked oysters on a half shell were fresh. I've always had a love affair with Patchogue. When I was 18 years old, Patchogue was my fan-say date town. Over the past few years, I love the revitalization happening in the town. One of the changes is the new Blue Point Brewing. What did they build, a castle?! The new brewery is huge! When you pull around the back you'll see there are outside picnic tables. The inside bars are nice, hopefully we can go to back inside and drink a pint. The outside bathroom - port-a-potty are interesting, I'll leave it at that. Out of all the craft breweries on Long Island, Blue Point Brewing is at the top of my list. I love their seasonal beers as well as their standards: Imperial Sunshine, Blueberry, Pumpkin, Oatmeal Stout, Hoptical Illusion IPA, the list goes on and on. Visiting a friend in a nearby town and we decided to come here for lunch. Spacious brewery with a nice sized menu and non-beer drink options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Ids are checked at the door and there's a ton of merch items at the door as well. Shirts, stickers, and you can even take a sic pack to go. The space is dog friendly, but as with any public dog friendly space, not everyone's pups have the same training so just be mindful of your dog interacting with others. We ordered the burger, chicken poppers, thai chili cauliflower, and salmon bites. All were very good and tasted fresh. For drinks we got the mango hard tea, blueberry ale, and my friend got a bunch of 5oz pours. They don't have set flights but you can do 5oz pours of any of their beers which is cool to be able to customize and taste what you want! The mango hard tea definitely tasted more like a hard seltzer but it was still nice. There's also various games to play like fooseball and shuffleboard on the floor. We came for lunch and there was a live band starting in the evening as we were leaving. Based off of the flyers all around, they seems to have lots of events as well. Very cool brewary in the center of long island which offers some great brews and eats. This was the first time at their newer location and had a great experience. The newer facility is very nice and has a cool vibe with multiple bars on premise. Due to covid the ordering of drinks and food is all done on your phone which is nice and convenient. The beers as always were very good and there were plenty of options. The food was also pretty good but is rather expensive. Overall a nice spot to try on the weekend. read more

Came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was quite crowded...not just with fellow beer drinkers but with children, and dogs. Anyway... You can go right up to the bar and order from the various taps or if you're lucky enough to grab a table you can sit. My friend and I went straight to the bar at first..and then as soon as a spot opened up we grabbed it. A good thing about sitting at the table is that you can order not just food but beers too. We ordered the loaded cheese fries that were absolutely delicious. It was loaded with beer cheese and spiced bacon. And of course beers. Beers came out cold as yummy!
