Suggested this place to my man because he's a craft beer fan. I haven't been here since it first opened, so I was curious to see how it was now. We sat at the bar, and I liked how spacious the place is. It has that industrial brewery vibe, a large dining room, and outdoor seating. It's also within walking distance of the arena, so this is a good spot to grab food and drinks and or meet with your group before a concert or event. The pizza is thin crust and has a similar style to New Haven pizza. The flavor was great, but I felt like the center wasn't crispy enough to hold the slice up. It made things a little messy because the middle would flop while eating it. We ordered three small pies so we could try a few different combinations. One was the Weekend Special, which was a red pie with garlic, fresh basil, buffalo mozzarella, pepperoni, meatball, shaved Parmesan, and oregano. The small was $27, which I thought was pretty pricey for the portion. The other two were build your own pie; one white pie with basil and ricotta, and one red pie with pepperoni, meatball, and green pepper. All three pizzas tasted great. My main issue was the texture of the center. I prefer my pizza crispy enough that I can actually pick up a slice without everything sliding or folding over. Service was friendly and attentive enough, although I thought it was a little odd that my bartender disappeared and someone else took over without any explanation. My man tried a few of the beers and enjoyed being able to sample different options, while I went with a margarita flight. Not super pleased with Brewport. Get it there is an event at the arena tonight but we were given a 90 minute time limit. But, sending out pies that were clearly under cooked and trying to rush us in and rush us out is just not cool. Server was very pleasant but overall the experience was not good. My first time at brewport and it was excellent. The place is huge and is decorated with the processing tanks used to make make the brews. We made our way through and sat at the bar and ordered three different pies and went to town on them. Alot of bread and cheese that night lol. The pies was really good. I enjoyed each one. We had the weekend special with fresh garlic, basil, buffalo mozzarella, pepperoni, meatball and shaved parm and oregano. Super delicious! Than we had a white pie with red sauce ricotta and basil also very good. And a pie with green peppers, sausage, and pepperoni. All made fresh to order! I had several craft beers that I haven't tried before. They have a nice selection i must say. I got to sample the margarita flight aswell. I found them all to be refreshing. We stopped in before a concert at the Amphitheater....the parking lot attendant recommended it! We had just eaten, so we decided to try a few drinks. I had the Sangria and my husband had the Sangria mocktail (DD). Both were delicious. The Sangria had a scoop of watermelon Italian ice....this was so good and made the drink extra special ...and dangerous. You wouldn't know there's alcohol in there!! We stopped in here a few weeks ago for lunch. We ordered a big cheese pie to share with a table. I ordered the margarita flights. It comes with an orange, lemon, lime, strawberry margarita. They were all very tasty and definitely a 10 out of 10. I was very surprised about the orange margarita since I've never had one. The pizza they bring out is absolutely huge and they cut it weird if you're from New York. The ambience of this place is very nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Wait was as expected, but the bouncer was a jerk when I asked to be let in for the restroom as he threatened to find me if I went to the bar. Leaving my family outside. Shockingly amazing pizza A pizza parlor with a brewery, take your pick. Brewport has it down to a science either way. The pizza is thin-crust and surprisingly very good (think New Haven style) and the "individual" salad can easily feed two to three hungry adults. I'm going to make a surprising statement from a person why has tried every famous New Haven pizza place and the big named joints in the New Haven vicinity. "This rendition of a New Haven style coal fired pizza is one of the best I have ever had." I had Sally's a few weeks before this visit and this pizza was better. Bold but honest. The ambience is repurposed brick industrial motif, which cries out for you to make yourself comfy. Topping it off was the service: plenty of waitstaff hitting all corners of the place, not least of whom was a young lady I believe her name was Allana, who treated us like best friends. I love this place and have advice for my fellow pizza lovers. The great: the super duper thin crust is magical - reminds me of Pat's in Chicago. Just, magnificent. The sausage is pinched and they add fennel That's so important and they nail it! OK, The less than great (but can easily be better): the sauce... don't get it "regular"... the pizza is dry. But, order "extra sauce" and the pizza is still dry. It's a disappointment. For you review readers, the dryness makes me not want to eat here again. It's a big deal for me. I guess we need to order extra-extra sauce and maybe we'll have the proper balance? In all, despite my areas for improvement to make it USA-class, I do like it. For years I've driven past Brewport and wondered what it was like, and today, we finally made it in! Cool industrial vibe with a simple menu of pizzas, salad, and drinks. Our server was super friendly and attentive, and we appreciated that she informed us the individual sized antipasto would be plenty for the four of us to share. Our pizzas arrived, and we were impressed at the thin, crispy crust with just the right amount of char. However, we all agreed that the sauce was pretty lacking in flavor, and we just really wanted more from it. They weren't bad pizzas by any means, but they could've been excellent had they just been more flavorful. The toppings definitely helped, but if I were to come back, I probably wouldn't order a standard cheese, or maybe I would add garlic on. The staff and the Antipasto Salad are the only reason to come here now. We were do boys night here every other friday until summer. After a few new jobs, we started up again. Two different pies and so similarly disappointed. Struck up conversation with couple to the left and to the right and same feel on the pizza. How could they make it that much thinner and bland? My favorite brew is the Blood Orange which is excellent with a salad and some pizza (any kind but I like sausage pizza). It can be hectic but they seem to always handle things well. Arrived to Brewport right around happy hour time for pizza and a beer. The parking lot was pretty empty. We got the special Mediterranean pizza in small, which was enough for 2 people. As for the taste, I wanted a bit more fluff in the crust but the toppings were pretty well balanced. One of their best features is offering 7 oz beers as an option on their brews. They will also provide you with a taster if you ask. Our server was great and super helpful splitting our bill. Brewport Brewing Company is a craft brewpub that opened in Bridgeport, Connecticut in August 2016. It was founded by brothers Bruce & John Barrett along with brewmaster Jeff Browning. The Barrett Brothers helped to build Barrett Outdoor Communications, their family billboard business. In 2001, they bought the old Fairfield County News building in hopes of some day finding a creative use for it. Browning was the head brewmaster at the brewpub BAR in New Haven for 15 years. The trio decided to open up a brewpub at the old building that would pay homage to Bridgeport's pre-Prohibition breweries. When the brewpub opened, many of the beers were inspired by historic beer recipes that Browning had collected over the years. In addition to the beer, Browning also created 'Wellington's Old Style Root Beer' which he claims is the world's only malted soda. Browning also brought something else along from his days at BAR: New Haven-style pizza! For this he enlisted the help of BAR veteran Pat Bohan to be Brewport's head pizza maker. I've been to Brewport several times since they opened, but my most recent visit was with my cycling team called "Team Craft Beer" (Mr. Browning is also a member). After a 30 mile training ride, the team stopped at Brewport for pizza and beer. Mr. Browning treated the team to a "Breakfast Pizza" that featured spinach, onions, ham, sausage and peppers. My wife and sons later joined us for lunch. During our visit, the beers I tried included "Rule of Two" (Black IPA) and "CFK 7: Bourbon Barrel-Aged Kenny" (Imperial Stout). My wife ordered a Wellington's Root Beer. We were very happy with our drink choices. For pizza, we ordered a "The Brewmaster" (chicken, pepperoni, light hot pepper) and a daily special that was a white pie with chicken, roasted red peppers, olives, and broccoli. I never write reviews - usually my friends handle that for us -- but this experience at Brewport in Bridgeport, CT was so frustrating that I felt I had to share. Three of us stopped by around 7:30 p.m. after work to relax with a beer and some pizza. We ordered a white mozzarella pizza with buffalo chicken, but were brought a tomato pie with buffalo chicken instead. We politely told the server and asked for the right pizza. A few minutes later, another server brought back the same wrong pizza. Hungry and assuming they were offering it, we started eating. When the check came, we were shocked to see we were charged for two pizzas -- plus extra garlic we never ordered. When we asked why, the server said, "because you ate it," completely ignoring that it was their mistake. No accountability, just an offer to "bring the manager" to explain. We've been regulars here after Total Mortgage arena events, but after this pushy, disappointing experience, we're done. We'll gladly drive a little farther to Two Roads instead. Pizza's really good, the beers and the selection are solid. Bartenders are super nice too. Only downside is if you get there after 9 on Fridays and Saturdays. Technically it's open until 11pm on Fridays and Saturday. The kitchen shuts down at 10pm which is totally understandable. Last call is also 10pm. By 10:30pm it's implied you hurry up and get out. Totally get that the staff wants to wrap up, but it's a little frustrating when you're still within open hours, especially with how pricey going out is these days. This place is a really cool place to stop if you have extra time before getting on the Bridgeport ferry. Their pizza is insanely good and the atmosphere inside is really cool. They have their kitchen open so you can watch them cook your pizza if you're lucky to be seated close enough. We arrived just as Brewport was opening on a Thursday afternoon. We were seated at a table by a hostess who didn't provide any information with regard to scanning the QR code in the middle of the table to view the food and beer menu. Interestingly the QR code sticker doesn't say anything about scanning for the menu. It is a reminder that there is a 90 minute visit limit. Feels like an artifact from 2021. The layout seems to maximize the number of booths that can fit in the brewery around the center situated bar. We ordered flights of Brewport beer: the three tides and blood orange blonde for me and the rule of two black IPA for my spouse. After we had ordered our waitress came back from the bar with samples of the roadie SIPA because they were out of king tide. We went with it in our samplers and enjoyed it thoroughly. For food we ordered the Brewmaster pizza. This was an enjoyable thin crust although the chicken could use some additional seasoning. I'd probably go back to try one of the salads and hopefully King Tide, when they have it again. read more

I've never had a dry pizza in my life but this right here was the driest blah pizza I've ever had. The sauce was so little like they originally put a lot on but then scraped it off. For drinks I had the Blackberry Bramble (I think called that) and that was very good, we ordered more of those. As someone who is not a big "beer drinker," I wasn't sure what to expect from Brewport. I was pleasantly surprised by the sangria with watermelon Italian ice. This was an absolutely delicious drink. My fiance and I ordered a small Caesar salad and a small pizza. It was my first time eating CT pizza, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Caesar salad was also very good. Our server was very attentive, and we sat outside enjoying a beautiful evening. I thought it would be louder outside so near the highway, but the music created a very pleasant background. Their small pizzas were great, think crust and easily split between 2 people. (One small/2 people). Their pepperoni is delicious!
