Initially our interior home renovation went well. However, as the reno. progressed we noticed…read morequality issues, mistakes and damages. Scott did address some of the issues but not all of them. About this time, we noticed charges for things that we should have never been billed for as well as charges for his staff to repair their mistakes.  After a few months, Scott sent his staff to other jobs and very little work was being done at our house. Scott was storing construction materials at our house and some areas were not usable. I called Scott about getting the job finished; he was condescending but did go ahead and promise to finish the work by a certain date. Later on I asked Scott about the leftover tile, worth lots of money, that he and Wendy picked up at my house months ago to return to three stores. We were credited with the return to one store but we never got anything else. Scott said the store would only offer them approx. $20... I asked if I could pick it up and Scott said, "The tile was donated. You don't need it." So, I asked for a receipt but I never got one. I called the store where Scott said he donated it and found out that Scott had only donated one box of tile. In addition, I discovered some of the tile placed in our attic was missing. I told Scott about this and he attempted to belittle me but said he would help look for it. It was never found and Scott was angry and denied that they took the tile, instead of working with me to resolve the issue. We knew his staff took it and tried to handle it gingerly. After seven + months we terminated his services. At that point we had paid Scott $308.396. for an unfinished job - well beyond the original estimates and months beyond the original time frame. Scott and Wendy's share of this was $61,875. Scott charged us 25% extra on all labor as well as 25% extra for materials purchased. There were so many issues that we couldn't possibly address all of them. We feel taken advantage of and if you saw the work done you would understand why.

I had split up my project with Madalina performing the tear down, which included the take down of cabinets and tear down of a pantry and a wall, installation of electrical, lighting, and a gas line, etc.  We had to change the design unexpectedly because my original vision could not be achieved, but it turned out even better because we removed a load bearing post and opened up the space even more!  After installation of cabinets by a second company, Madalina came back out to complete the project by painting, and installation of the countertop and backsplash, plus all the finishing touches. Madalina's team is very professional, dedicates attention to detail, and is responsive to design preferences and any requests to address concerns you might have along the way.  I would recommend you solidify daily, weekly or total project timelines in advance because the company might be juggling other projects, as you might expect in this line of work. Though both my fiancé and I are able to work from home, which allowed for more flexibility, and because we wanted to be home during project work, we would have preferred more specificity as to the schedule because it was just looser than we desired.   This issue wouldn't prevent us from hiring them again; it's just something we would discuss with the team before the next project. Since November 2025, he did not know what an MEP was, not familiar with pulling proper permits and started work without proper permitting and registration of his company. He lied about paying for an engineer, lied about submitting paperwork, permits and licenses and continued to lie while he worked on other projects, possibly using my funds to fund his time else where. I'm a 21-year Army Retired two-time combat veteran and I warn anyone to watch out for this person and his business.
