We have used them at least 5 times in the past year and everytime they remember our dogs and are just as excited as the dogs are to see them. We typically board them but have also taken them in for nail trimmings and baths. They even offer joint rooms so Rex and Raiden were able to still be with each other in the new environment so we always tell our friends about Dogs At Play when they're looking for boarding!

I found Dog Days during COVID when my Beagle Betty was just a puppy. It started as a place I'd take…read moremy puppy so she could burn energy and I could get work done. But now, Dog Days is Betty's favorite place. It's better than any dog park or walk. I never feel bad leaving her over a weekend for boarding at Dog Days because I know there is no place she'd rather be. She cries when we drive to dog days then sprints in the door! The workers have gotten to know and love Betty. It's great knowing she's in good hands. Betty went in for a trial day before she could go to daycare, they assessed how she played with others and found a good play group for her. They have since moved her to different play groups to fit her needs. I love that owners treat the staff well and pay them a living wage. One last great thing: they post pictures of the dogs playing on Facebook!

Whenever we pull into the parking lot, we can tell he's excited to spend the day with his friends at Dog Days. He comes home exhausted and I love that the workers give us an update at pick up (telling us about his day, which dogs he played with, something funny he did, etc.). There aren't any cameras to watch the dogs play, but they post photos daily of the pups. They're incredibly professional and you can tell each and every person if passionate about their dogs. We haven't boarded our dog yet, but when the time comes we plan to do so at Dog Days.

The staff members know our dog by name and give us updates on his day if requested. They post daily photos of the pets on social media which is fun to see what they are up to. The play area webcams also give you a look as to how your dog is doing. There are seasonal or holiday offerings which are fun add ons. For example, if a pet is being boarded during thanksgiving, you can add on a thanksgiving themed meal for your dog to enjoy. Valentine's Day boarding and daycare can opt into a treat exchange so your pet goes home with a variety of goodies. They also have done a yearly photos with Santa event which got us an adorable photo of our dog and Santa. DDG loves each dog like their own and the quality of care is outstanding! However, the facilities are clean and the owner very nice and extremely accommodating. The grooming service I have used often and love it! It's a small set-up and is very personal. Sandy is so sweet and kind and loves the dogs she grooms. My dog always comes home looking like a stuffed animal. I love this groomer!

Our dog has been to many doggy daycare and boarding facilities without issue, and when we attempted to set up a meet-and-greet, they wouldn't even consider our dog based on claiming that she is a "bully breed," My partner informed the person with whom he spoke that our dog has been professionally trained and never had any issue with aggression or behavior at any point. They would not even consider this information, nor were they willing to offer suggestions for other facilities we could consider. If this were truly a professional organization, they would know how to accept and accommodate all breeds and not be discriminatory in their practices. We are happy to send our dog and our business to another more professional and respectful facility in the Twin Cities.

(When I asked, the man on the phone literally said, "We don't recommend anywhere, but you definitely can't come here." Thanks, dude.) They say they can't accept "bully breeds" because it's an insurance issue, but there are plenty of insurance policies out there that do, plus any true professional who works with dogs knows the whole "bully breed" thing is just a way to discriminate against certain dogs and dog owners. My guess is this place has a very limited insurance coverage, which actually makes me question the safety of the facility, in general. If they're not willing to pay for a comprehensive insurance policy that covers all dogs, what else are they skimping on? We may have dodged a bullet by being denied by them. Thankfully, there are a number of other professional dog daycares in the nearby area that have good insurance policies and are happy to have our dog.
