What a lovely little gem. I was traveling through the area and had a hankering for a bagel sandwich. Luckily this place popped up and I gave it a shot as it wasn't too much off my path. Super friendly staff with some delicious options. Built my own bagel sandwich and it did not disappoint. Super fresh and yummy. Coffee was great and they use coffee ice cubes so your drink doesn't get watered down. Lastly I tried a maple donut. The glaze was very lite but strong with the maple in a good way. Only downside is donut was more on the cake'y side. Some people prefer that so it's just a preference. It was light and delectable. Upon visiting Lynchburg for the first time, I wanted an idea of the pastry situation especially donuts Blue Ridge Bagels serves a variety of both bagels and donuts among other breakfast/lunch sandwiches. They have pre-made coffee concoctions, self-serve drip coffee, and an array of beverages to choose. Located 20-mins from downtown 'Hill City' the parking is a bit strange and snug near the front entrance so be mindful when pulling in. During COVID, you are expected to wear a mask & maintain social distancing upon entry. The inside is available to sit and eat with space in between tables. The interior gives you a country, diner-like vibe. The prices are reasonable. However, the bagels aren't so great: deflated, dough is tough and the flavoring is faint. The coffee is way too watery so I didn't drink much. The saving grace for me was the donuts which had just the right amount of icing, dough was a nice balance of fluffiness and density and the taste was yummy! Not sure about the sandwich options but overall, its a nice local joint to stop by to support and grab a donut for the road. read more

For breakfast I always got the sausage egg and cheese on an asiago bagel and for lunch I would usually get The Bomb. The best part is the iced coffee. You can get a large cup of perfect coffee and since the iced cubes are made of coffee too it doesn't get watered down as they melt. I'll buy one and savor it all morning. With a whole sandwich menu for lunch and a different flavored iced coffee every month as well, there's a whole lot to love! The interior vibe is definitely homey and casual. It's always packed on the weekends, so if you wanna eat inside, you'll wanna come early. It's a hotspot for college students and locals alike, so there's no shortage of customers. They make iced coffee that is excellent. As for the bagels, they are all flavorful. I had a turkey, egg, and cheese sandwich on a sun-dried tomato bagel, and it was awesome. I also had a French toast bagel with chocolate chip cream cheese... a nice, sweet treat. My wife got an onion bagel with veggie cream cheese, and she loved it. We came to blue ridge bagels on a Saturday morning and it was packed. No parking but luckily someone was leaving as we got there. Definitely has that mom and pop feel to it and is a fairly small space. There is outside seating as well though just in case there are no seats inside. I got the breakfast sandwhich and my wife got the everything bagel with cranberry almond cream cheese. Also got an Oreo topped donut because it just felt necessary. How could you not add that? Students get a free bottle of water with an ID so that may be something to keep in mind. Everything was excellent and tasted very fresh. Prices were reasonable and the people were friendly. I would suggest that you go early because they do sell out of things quickly. They are also closed on Sunday's so don't make the mistake of driving over that day like we did! read more
