    Gluten free breakfast!
    Hanna N.

Great gluten-free biscuits, almost cake-like in texture. You order at the counter, grab a seat, and the food comes out quickly without sacrificing quality. They also have homemade jams out for you to try. Our breakfast was fantastic. We'll definitely be back!

Ordered one of the best biscuit breakfast in the world. Came with pickled beets, coleslaw and the perfectly poached egg on top with a tomato jam. I saw it on the menu and wondered what in the heck that would taste like. I was not disappointed. I find myself thinking about it here and there lol, I have to go back and get it again. I even thought it was better than anything biscuit Head offered. They have you pick your own mug for coffee which is fun and had a coffee bar to serve yourself. Very clean and friendly place.

Excellent place to stop by for some unique breakfast options if your craving a biscuit as well. This feels like a diner but provides you with better food than a typical diner. The staff is super sweet and very helpful. The selection for breakfast is not too overwhelming yet it gives you some interesting things to possibly try if you're daring. The establishment is clean and one major perk... bottomless coffee!!! Interesting side note, this place made the '23 Top Spots for Flaky Biscuits' in the September issue of Our State Magazine. Stopped in here for a bite as we read great things about the place. The space seems unassuming, but the service was good with friendly folks, and the biscuits were great. Kind of a no frills place, but it's just what you need for a quick meal. Nice and filling, would come back.

Wow, I can't even wrap my taste buds around how delicious the smokey mountain brook was. I wanted a local fare, like smoked trout, I'm not the biggest fan of arugula, but I gave it a try and it was so balanced I ate way more than I anticipated. To date the best thing I've eaten in Asheville! The ambiance is your small town eclectic breakfast joint with a self service coffee and water station. You get to pick your coffee mug out of an assortment of different mugs. Though I didn't try the waffle it was so fluffy and broke apart so light and flaky it seemed like it would be delicious.

Holly shiznit this place is the bomb! I mean seriously a nuclear mega bomb of flavor! There was a constant line to get into this location and it is not small. They have two main seating areas and an outside area as well. But the place stays busy from the time they open. You order at the counter, then get a number, and find a place to sit.... They bring you the food. They will help you to find a spot as well. You're not just left trying to kick someone out of their table. They try to be sure you have a spot before you order so you're not just left holding a plate and standing to eat. The menu is posted on the wall and from the get go promises some delightful food possibilities. As you get close to placing your order they have a glass case filled with pastries and sweets that are all home made. Blueberry pastries, cinnamon rolls, croissants, scones and other delectable items. Take my advice... get one! I had a blueberry pastry that was awesome! The order taker was good considering that it was just nonstop and we had a party of 8 to take orders from. They managed like it was just a normal deal... no fuss no muss. When I placed my order I went for the biscuits and gravy. I love a good biscuit and gravy meal, but they have "twisted biscuits" here! I got the one called The Lookout: Fried chicken, bacon, and cheddar cheese. Smothered with gravy all loaded inside two huge home made heavenly fluffy biscuits! For this meal I have to bring back my 0Ohhhhh My Goddie Way Tooooo Hottie!!!" Signature saying. This was just mind blowing!!! Super good! Well with the wait!! The biscuit was like a pillowy cloud the gravy a thick sausage filled wonder and all combined it was like having a taste of perfection! I wish this was closer to where I live! It would become a regular stop for sure. I could go on and on but honestly you just have to get here and try it! I'm serious... this is a must! Don't continue to deny yourself this amazing food. Make a plan and get here! I wish I could give this 10 stars it was sooo good. The location for what it is is perfect, the people are small town nice, and the food is other worldly! You are missing out on a flavor explosion of epic proportions by not trying this location. You need to get here!!

Just on the edge of town this biscuit stop is a definite must! I came by this morning for a biscuit and it is hands down. That largest biscuit I have ever had in my life period it was so incredibly delicious on its own but to step it up a notch I had one of their 4 amazing flavored jams. It was so tasty that I had to come back for lunch and do it all again. This place has a ton of Hometown charm and the staff is super kind. THE FOOD!!! IS SO SO GOOD!! So good I made myself sick! Omgosh! I want to eat here again and again. I wish I could take it home with me. This is hands down the best biscuit I have ever had. MEGA PLUS FOR THE SHITAKE MUSHROOM GRAVY! You changed my life! I ordered the egg and cheese biscuit and had it smothered in gravy. Omgosh. So dang good. THIS IS MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!! YOU MUST GO!

We took a little day trip out to Black Mountain while visiting Asheville today. Such a cute little town! The first thing we did was seek out a good breakfast place and Yelp came through yet again! With Blue Ridge Biscuit Company coming out on top of the recommended list, we headed here as soon as we arrived. When we walked in, we were pleased to see how cute the inside was compared to the outside. We were immediately greeted as we made our way to the counter to place our order. I knew from looking at the menu online that I was going to get something "local" so I ordered the Smoky Mountain Brook (smoked trout spread, poached egg, red onion and arugula with a caper dill cream cheese sauce and topped with tomato jam). It was absolutely delicious! My daughter chose The Lunker (fried catfish, chipotle lime slaw and roasted pepper remoulade). She loved it (and even shared a little with her dad). My husband had a simple Biscuit Egg and Cheese. The serving sizes were very generous and they brought out yummy homemade jams to have with our meal! To drink, my daughter had a Dirty Chai while I had a plain coffee. For that, I was instructed to pick any mug I wanted and to help myself to as much coffee as I desired. Such a friendly place! It was also great to see how they support local artists with artwork on the wall. What a perfect place to start our day in Black Mountain!

This place has become a 'must' every time we visit BM. I was so excited to show our girls the biscuits 'as big as plates' and it was even better than I remembered. Everyone loved their meal. I ordered the Lookout with a side of grits. I literally can't find one thing that needs to be improved with the biscuit meal and the grits were honestly the best I've ever had. I was blown away. Tip: know that there's probably a wait here. We came on Friday morning and while there were a few tables open, they seemed short-staffed and we had to wait in line. But, people are waiting in line because it's totally worth it. I freaking love this place!

My wife and I came here for breakfast last week. First off, we got there around 9am and there was a line that lasted around 15 min. It got longer and was prob 20+ min waiting around 10am. You order first, sit down, and then they'll bring your food to you. Btw coffee was just ok, drip coffee and was not anything special. But my wife got the Smoky Mountain Brook, which tasted incredible. It came with a runny egg if you like that. It was fresh, delicious, with a bit of tang. I got The Lookout, which was also incredible. Another thing is that the biscuits are like 3x the size of your normal biscuit, and I couldn't even finish mine. Fried chicken tasted good, was a bit oily which makes me suspect they needed to clean their fryer. Sausage gravy was great, and so was the bacon. I wish they used sliced cheese over shredded, but otherwise this place was great!

That's fine in normal cold weather, but at 22 degrees the overhead heaters just don't quite cut it. I think this part of the experience could use a little revision. My wife had pancakes with vanilla syrup and sausage. I ordered the classic breakfast with eggs, grits, sausage, and toast. Everything was very flavorful. My only complaint was that my food was lukewarm. It seemed like my food may have been finished and sat for a few minutes while my wife's pancakes were completed. On a cold morning, I would have preferred a hotter meal, the grits weren't warm enough to melt the butter, and the toast was cold, so I didn't even attempt to butter it. That said, even with the temperature issue, the food was still very tasty, and given how cold it was outside, I'm willing to let it slide. Everything arrived quickly, and the restaurant itself is very quaint, set in an old home that is very clean. On our first visit, they offered chocolate chip cookies to go, and they were excellent! They didn't have any this time, but we'll be back again to try our luck. To those about to nosh, I salute you!!

There's also an outside patio where customers can enjoy their food. We opted for the seating inside and I had a delicious everything bagel with lox, cream cheese and capers. Dave had eggs, sausage and cheese on an everything bagel too. There was a continuous line of customers buying bakery stuff and getting coffee. The atmosphere is so homey and pleasant that it a pleasure to eat there.

I have not been to the home location for Four sisters, but I have tried some of the croissants and…read moretheir variations a few times around the Asheville area. While some of their pastries look decent, there is something about their Viennoiserie (laminated dough) products that they just seem to not understand. Every one of their croissants I've tried were underproved, which causes an undesirable internal texture that is dense and not open and light like croissants are supposed to be. They are also very "bread like", which shows that they are losing control of the temperature of the dough and butter during the lamination process. This causes the butter to melt into the dough, rather than keeping the intended layers. This is what causes the crumb of the croissant to be more bread like, rather than the light honeycomb structure you find in a well-crafted croissant. Their other products, assorted buns, cinnamon rolls, etc., look decent, but I haven't tried much of those as they aren't really what I enjoy. I hope at some point they can dial in their understanding of the laminated dough process as it would only elevate and improve what they offer. However, they seem to be busy, so they may be fine with delivering a lower quality product in that department. I also understand that my perspective may be different than the average customer as I'm a professional pastry chef and consultant. I'm not sharing this review to be negative, but to give an honest opinion that may spark this establishment to look deeper into their process and find ways to offer even more to their customers.

This is what the internal stucture of Four sisters croissants tend to look like. Not very light or enjoyable. Dense and chewy.

We were impressed by the interest and fanfare this post-Helene event created for the locals. Parking on the street, across the street or a short way up the street is town free parking. Shannon and Rain were our friendly and helpful servers. There are many seating options. We chose the sun room which was comfortable. Others were seated outside on the side porch and several people were inside. We shared a bowl of the delicious French onion soup. Eat it while it's hot for the best experience. The buckwheat crepes were the perfect consistency to handle the savory entrees. My Market crepe was packed full of goodies including the sausage add-on. Each ingredient stood well on its own. The pesto was a standout. My partner got the mushroom crepe with chicken. She enjoyed immensely. Both entrees came with a fresh greens and balsamic dressing. The servings were generous enough to bring two halves home for dinner. Sharing soup and a savory crepe is a reasonable strategy if leaving leftovers in your vehicle during the summer heat is a concern. We joined the servers on the patio to watch the return of the train through a nicely recovering town.
