    Pool and patio area

They say the third time is a charm. After a nerve-wracking debacle trying to find a place to stay for the weekend ( the 1st two places where we had reservations turned out to be a joke). This was a wonderful place, very unique and immaculate. Every amenity you could think of and then some. The owners, who live on the premise, couldn't be more accommodating. The location is ideal and the grounds are beautiful - Mexican hacienda style - and the pool area is so inviting. The rooms are well-appointed and very colorful....The beach, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance. Will definitely return! Thanks Cristie & Marc.

    Disgusting blow dryer

This place is awful!! Gary was awesome.. owners not too nice.. I had a bad fall due to their blow dryer blowing up and smoking .. I'm in a tremendous amount of pain.. broken tailbone! ruined the whole vacation.. and all I got was a chuckle from the owner.. I'm glad she found it amusing.. the iron was also disgusting.. it's their responsibility to make sure everything in room is up too par.. won't let me give no star so have to give one against my better judgment..

Ducked in for a staycation of sorts and it was a fine time, here's why: * Family in other units and they were adjoining * Nice decor * Great location, across the street from the beach * Walking distance to Aruba and other area dining, shopping and entertainment options The place has been made quaint, welcoming, and thematically appropriate because of the attention to detail to the decor highlights (both indoors and out) and it was noticed and appreciated by all. Cabeza OUT!

There are some really nice things about this place. Unfortunately, the bed and shower aren't on that list. Great location, fantastic decor, beautiful pool area, really nice kitchen, etc. But, no matter where you're staying a comfy bed is probably the most important part of the room. A strong shower after a day on the beach comes in second. Blue Seas had neither. If you can sleep just fine on a slab, definitely stay here. You'll love things like a light-up cactus lamp and the price is very competitive for a room with a kitchen.

This place was an absolute gem! The grounds were super interesting, made to put you in the mind of a Mexican hacienda. They were decorated beautifully and so very bright. The pool area was very inviting and I wish we had stayed longer so I could use it. The beds were extremely comfortable. The rooms have kitchenettes. They were very clean. It's not too far from the beach and some really awesome restaurants. They have bicycles you can use too! I loved this place so much and I can't wait to come back here!

great stay ! We are a couple from Milan -Italy . We stayed a week of perfect relax . Cleanliness , courtesy and location ... what else ? Full kitchen , beach towels and chairs , very friendly staff , tv . The wifi works but could be improved . Few steps from a very nice beach and to shops and restaurants ( 15% discount on a restaurant for breakfast or lunch ) .A great choice

When I asked for a rollaway because my bed was so uncomfortable Gary showed me how comfortable it was because it had memory foam....

I just left the hotel after spending two nights there for a staycation. I was very pleased with my…read morestay. The hotel is made of two towers. I was in the southern tower room 5509. It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

Hubby got unexpectedly stuck in Pompano Beach for several weeks while there on business, and they have treated him like family from day 1. He is absolutely not easy to please, but they have surpassed expectation and been absolutely wonderful to him. My boys and I went to visit this last weekend, and every single staff member we passed greeted my husband by name with a giant smile and a pleasantly helpful attitude. I think, besides hiring great people, this boils down to the manager of this hotel, who is stellar. He's got a great demeanor, is extremely knowledgeable about his trade and his hotel, and has trained his staff to a level surpassing much more expensive venues. The building, itself, is showing signs of its age, which is not unusual for a seaside place like this. The doors don't always want to open because they stick, the locks are finicky, at best, floors on some of the hallways have peeling paint here and there, and the bathroom leaked from above ours while we were there this weekend. THIS BEING SAID, however, every time we mentioned an issue, the staff was all over getting them fixed asap. They even went out and bought the hubster a coffee maker for the room when he complained that he didn't have one (evidently they aren't typically provided) AND they gave him a second mini fridge for some special meds he has to keep cold. I mean, who does that these days??? Nobody but them! When you are planning to be in the Ft Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area, try this resort-style waterfront hotel. They'll take good care of you and your family, guaranteed.

A Budget-Friendly Stay at Ye Olde Hampton Inn!…read more Ah, spring break in Florida--the time of year when hotel prices skyrocket, beaches become obstacle courses of sunburned tourists, and your Uber driver secretly judges your life choices. I usually stay near the beach when visiting family in Pompano, but my wallet gently reminded me that I am, in fact, not a Kardashian. Enter: the Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale/Pompano Beach, where I traded ocean views for a price that didn't require selling a kidney. I'll admit, I braced myself for the worst based on some of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised. The place was clean--from the lobby to my room, which in the hotel world is basically the equivalent of winning the lottery. Breakfast seemed to be a hit with the crowd, but I skipped it (let's be honest, free hotel breakfast is a gamble best left to the bold). The pool? Functional, but more "giant bathtub" than "resort oasis." However, it did, in fact, contain water, so points for that. The only curveball was that room refreshes happened every other day. Not a huge deal, but a heads-up at booking would have been nice. I half-expected a scroll of parchment to be handed to me upon check-in, outlining the ancient decree of housekeeping rotation. On the bright side, parking was free and plentiful--a rare Florida miracle. Final verdict? Ye Olde Hampton Inn delivers a solid, budget-friendly experience. Would I stay again? Absolutely--just maybe with some extra towels in tow.
