Just recently (like mid Sept. 2022) we took Daisy in because we knew something wasn't right. She stopped eating and that's never good. Anyways they ran some tests and said nothing was wrong with her. Gave her some bs medicine and sent us on our way. Tonight (10/12/22) she peed and it had blood in it. So we rush her down here to Denver and within 20min they told us she had a tumor on her spine. They let her suffer for weeks without giving us a response. So they are either dumber than shit or just pure evil, either way they don't deserve to be in business.

Dr. Hill was wonderful, both with our 95 pound shepherd, who is not an easy patient, and with us. Spent lots of time, answered all of our questions, shared a lot of information. We called at 2 pm and they said they were very busy and our dog would be next in line to get a cyst removed from her top left side and have her teeth brushed as she was under and to call back at 4pm. I called at 4pm and was told that our dog was not operated on and have to reschedule for the next morning, I told them that I didn't want her to stay over night as she was not accustomed to staying in a cage, they said they couldn't do the operation the next day if I took her home and but could if I left her over night, doesn't make sense! So the bottom line is if you make an appointment and take a day off it doesn't mean anything to these so called professional's but if I did that to a doctors appointment they would charge me and not be happy, I guess we just lost a days pay and need to go to another Veterinarian that is a PROFESSIONAL. My dog is very upset and so are we, will not go back to The Animal Hospital in Hickory or recommend them to anyone!

They were very professional, explaining the diagnosis we were dealing with and possible plan of care while still working with us in a relaxed manner. We sought a different vet because we didn't feel there were attempts by our previous vet to explore the possibilities and consider alternatives if initial treatment didn't get the results we wanted for a happy dog. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told there was a balance from a visit 3 months ago. I told her I paid in full and had never received a bill or phone call and they said, okay never mind. Then when they took the cat for the nail trim, they "mentioned" that the price had nearly doubled and I should have been told when I made the appointment - I was not. I felt manipulated and have not been back as I feel they no longer are a reputable and accountable practice.
