I recently got my first puppy and needed to get her groomed so I was referred by family and friends of Happy Dog Wash. When you enter it's a small store front but there's a desk where the employees can help you. I advised them this was my puppy Poppy's first time getting grooming and they reassured me everything was going to be alright. They walked me to the back grooming area so I could see where she was going to get groomed and explained the whole process which was very comforting. So after a few hours went to pick her up and she looked gorgeous. They did such an amazing job with her cut, she smelled amazing, and her accessories were adorable. They also have very fair pricing for the quality of work that they do. The owner was super nice and gave wonderful customer service. He even gave us different treats and dog food to try for free. I recently returned to HDW after taking a break and using a few other groomers for a while. I mainly used others for the convenience of booking an appointment online, but returning to HDW was a great choice. I am 100% satisfied with the service I received. A confirmation text was sent after making the appointment via phone call. My dog and I were warmly received upon entering the business. My requests for styling were honored and my dog came out looking adorable. The price is fair. I appreciate that there's not a ton of add on grooming options like some other places. I did add teeth brushing, however. A bag of free treats was provided upon my departure. This place is back to being my preferred groomer. read more

Our puppy Dallas is a 18month old bernedoodle .she was blessed with a curly coat. When she gets wet she is difficult to brush. We live in Dr Philips. We started taking her to Wolfgang's. They like over charging and say you need to shave her. Wow ! That's all their groomers know what to do. The reviews for Wolfgang are not exaggerated. They are true. If you love your pet steer far away from them. My wife so upset with them she refused to leave Dallas for her grooming. She came home upset and distraught. I made a few calls to other groomers in Orlando and came up with Happy Dog Wash family owned. Even without appointment they took Dallas to the shop. With in minutes they said no shaving required. What a blessing. Four hrs later we picked up a happy dog and a gorgeous one at that. This groomer is professional and caring. It's worth the 30 minute drive. First time coming here and I was very pleased. Just moved over to this area and while I loved our mobile groomer, it was just too expensive to keep up with every 6 weeks. Maria was our pups groomer and she did a fantastic job. She listened to exactly what we wanted and nailed it. We don't do the traditional yorkie cut and she was still able to make him so handsome regardless! He does get matted around the snout so I told her to shave that area instead of dematting because it just gets messed up anyways. (He is a senior dog and doesn't have many teeth, so water is put in his food and it just makes a mess). The main point here - is she listened. They also suggested a new food to try that has great ingredients and both of my dogs ate it up so fast! Will definitely be bringing Franklin back my other terrier in soon! read more

I would not recommend this place for my dog, they are rude and prices are forever changing, I've been charged for tangled ears and up charges for my dog being difficult, yet my dog was done with the grooming earlier than other times. DO NOT take your dog here for grooming. The groomers are incompetent and lazy and don't spend the extra time to demat your dog and instead will just shave the dog really short and then they will still charge you a lot extra for dematting. They charged me $125 to groom a standard golden doodle. That's outrageous, especially when they didn't take the extra time to demat her and instead shaved her hair to only 1/4 inch long. When I dropped my golden doodle off for grooming I emphatically told them not to make her look like a freaking poodle. I told them it was OK if they had to go short on her body because of hair matting, but do not shave her face and head to make her look like a poodle, but that's exactly what they did. My dog barely had any hair matted on her face and head and her hair could have been brushed and combed out, but instead they shaved her head to look like a ridiculous poodle and this isn't the first time. It's a constant battle trying to get them not to groom her to look like a damn poodle. The groomers are either incompetent or lazy or both. I am never going back to Happy Dog Wash. read more

First time coming here the lady at the front was extremely nice and I thought I was leaving my dogs in good hands. When they finished the grooming they informed me that they had cut my dog a little bit in the process. When I got home I realized the extent of his wound, they clearly hurt him since his been shaking and a bit aggressive ever since going there. Had high hopes in this place after seeing reviews here until realizing that taking my two terriers there was a big mistake. Not only it took over six hours to have my dogs back, the result was disastrous. Both my dogs who are purebreds had to be redone because the groomer wasn't able to get the job done right. One of the dogs had to be completely shaved since the original cut was way too short to fix. She spent over a week scratching because they used the shortest clipper on her. The other one had the hair on the tip of both ears shaved because "it was the way it was supposed to be", said the manager. The worst thing was having to deal with the lack of humility from the manager who knew the groomer Didn't know how to do the breed-specific style. Instead, she kept arguing the dogs were looking the way they were supposed to be "as other clients like that way". Very unprofessional approach. This is the situation that I had with my dog Koko, I could not brush or bother her a lot . Well, it turns out that today I take her to this place that I found " Happy" Dog Wash and I found that were kind, thats what I thought. So I left my dog Koko, and not even anybody say anything to me, and they only charge you, in another word pay, go and literally that it service is done no matter if something went wrong, nobody said anything. Then after a while I realize that she can not walk much longer than take her little tongue and pass it in different parts of her body. That's when I check I see that she has her buttocks scraped cut, her legs equal and badly cut in her head. I do not want to imagine the great suffering that she had while being at the that moment while she was being grooming. This place has four and a half stars for that reason I thought it was a safe place for my Koko. But it was the opposite the worst place I found. So if you love your puppy like I love Koko I don't recommend this place. I took my dog here for the first time to get her nails shortened. When I walked in, I was greeted kindly by the cashier. Someone even helped hold my dog while I filled out paperwork. When it came time for her to go back for her nails, the groomer came and took her from me without greeting me or my puppy. When she was done, I was told that my dog tried to bite the groomer. I was stunned, as my dog has never shown any sign of aggression and has never tried to bite. 5 minutes later when I pulled into my driveway, I saw POOLS of blood all over my back seat and center console. I rushed her into the house to see that one of her dew claws was profusely bleeding. When I called the groomer to tell her, they said she wasn't bleeding when she left so it must have happened from walking her on the cement. This is completely inaccurate since few claws don't touch the ground. They offered for me to drive my bleeding dog back to them to apply quick stop. If I was going to drive her anywhere in that state, it wouldn't be back to the place that did this to her. It took me over 4 hours to get the bleeding to stop completely. She probably tried to bite because you hurt her, bit because she doesn't like getting her nails clipped. Obviously, I won't be bringing her back to this place. They even let you go inside where all the "action" is happening. You can actually see them doing their work with the doggies!!! This place is just excellent!!!! PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR BELOVED PETS HERE. We took our pups in for an appointment for a full groom. We have been taking our dogs to get groomed at least twice per month elsewhere but had a referral from a friend and thought we would give these people a try. As soon as we got there the front desk worker said they would have to charge us an extra $20 for dematting. We told her we have been getting our dogs groomed for over two years and have NEVER been told our dogs were matted. Mind you we comb our dogs every other day with the same comb the woman was using to check to see if the dogs are matted. We have also never heard of being charged almost half the price of a groom for this service so it seemed like a rip off. The front desk woman proceeded to grab a comb and pull on one of my dogs hair to show us were it was "matted". She did not do this gently... she stuck her comb and pulled on my dogs hair, so hard, my dog yelped and was shaking! At this point I cannot believe what I am witnessing... I decided even if this groom was free there was ZERO chance I would leave my dog with these people! Not only do they have horrible attitudes but they mistreated my dog and tried to rip me off.
