Because we had used their services in the past, we knew we were in good hands. It only took a quick phone call to schedule an estimate, and JD was out within a day. He was professional, knowledgeable, and thorough during the assessment. He explained that our previous water heater, which appeared to have been installed by a homeowner about 17 years ago, was missing several important safety features and updates. JD returned for the installation and called before arriving--he even arrived early! He worked efficiently and made sure the new installation would meet current safety standards and pass inspection requirements for our homeowners insurance. Before leaving, JD took the time to walk my husband and me through all the new features. We were impressed to learn about the water alarm that alerts us to leaks in the drain pan, the easy-to-use water shutoff handle, and other safety improvements. He even tested the hot water temperature inside the house to make sure everything was working properly before he left. The entire experience was professional, informative, and stress-free. Not only that, they broke my garden shovel while digging up the dirt and when I requested a refund, they read my message and left it on read instead of reaching out for a solution or reimbursement. Tried to fix it myself many times since with little success. Finally today, while trying to attempt yet another repair (approaching a dozen now), the root cause was revealed. The main stem that _should_ have been screwed into the base of the faucet was never attached to the body of the faucet. It was giving him trouble when he was installing it, but apparently he was running short on time and left it as it was. Cosmetically it looked right, but functionally it could not stand up to daily use (kitchen sink is kind of the center of the kitchen, right?). I reassembled the faucet unit the best I could with hand tightening, so I expect that it will fall apart again soon, until I can get a specialty wrench that will reach the nut to finally make it tight. I'm not upset with Tim personally, but I did curse the day that he showed up (after many cancellations and delays) when the sink and faucet were installed. I'll not be using his services again, and will keep a sharp eye on future plumbers working on my home. I cannot recommend him as a plumber.
