The facility is very nice and modern. The first response as I entered the building was as expected, very friendly and polite greeting as to what I was trying to find, etc. I had gone to look at and make a deal on a pre-owned utility tractor. Once I spoke with salesman I was very disappointed in the vibe he was portraying. Seems to be completely disorganized and not completely interested in what I was there to accomplish. I was not intending to continue to do business with him. But I was there with a friend that was the real reason for the looking at the particular tractor. We didn't make a deal on the first visit, but a deal was accomplished a few days later, and I was involved with picking up the machine. Second impression might have been less impressive. Still the same "squireling around" attitude and totally dis organized. He was informed that we were coming to complete a form and load the tractor. an hour and a half later, he's trying to find the keys to the tractor, and decided to compliably belittle and verbally bash the "key keeper" in front of both of us. Totally unprofessional. She on the other hand took the bashing and was compliably embarrassed by his actions. It was enough, that his actions were the topic of conversation for 30 minutes of our drive hauling the tractor. I would not have purchased anything having him as the sales person. Update: As of 06/18/2026 I just got off the phone with the current owner of the business. The situation has been address and appropriate conversations have taken place internal to the business. Side note, the tractor that was purchased, although used equipment, had the loader joystick control break. The reason to go from 3 star to 5 star is both the addressing of the above and they are standing behind the sale and providing the replacement, that we will need to install. I feel as if when I need to obtain parts and or service in the future for my equipment, I will call upon Blue Valley Tractor to fill my needs. I want to add, a big thank you to Cliff, the owner, for reaching out, personally, and letting me know that the situation has been address. would give zero stars. wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing a mower. it worked for 7 months and now they want to charge me $400 to "try" to get it to start. DO NOT buy anything from here. so much for shopping local, Lowe's or Home Depot is way better and will stand behind their products. what a rip off and poor business. read more

I've used Blue Valley Tractor & Supply for over a decade to do the annual maintenance on my riding lawn mower. They also installed a new engine on the mower about 5 years ago. They use to do a great job, not so anymore. I've had problems with their service the past 2 years and as such have been fooled twice, never again. DO NOT use these people to service any type of equipment. They do it wrong, they don't complete the work, and they use the service to sell you outrageously expensive service and parts. An example was replacing the front tires, quoted me $175 to replace, I can buy 2 new tires already installed on the wheel hub with inner tube for less than $50 on line, 2 nuts off the axle, two tires and nuts back on, done, versus their quote. This was just one of the nearly $1200 worth of "recommendations" they provided me. On top of all that, they insisted the blades that they put on the tractor last year were wrong and would not put them back on the mower. So I get to install them myself when they return the mower, why use them????? read more

The WORST place to have work on your equipment unless you are a big company . I took my exmark there a month ago was told it would be 4 days before they could get to it , I finally called 2 weeks later after NOT hearing from them & I was told that they changed a belt but that did not fix it & it just sitting there with no one working on it Finally after talking to the service manager & I told him that it was the Hydraulic on the right side he finally called me back and told me it was the hydros on the right side DUH !!! was told it would be fixed in a few days well after NOT hearing from them for another 10 days i called & was told it was ready They NOT once called me to let me know any thing they just started changing parts & then had the GALL to try and charge me for a belt it did not need I will NEVER have them work on anything or BUY another thing from that hole again !!!!!!!!! read more

I took a Stihl chain saw and blower in to have service done. They did not call to get approval like they said they would do. Est. $300+ to fix a $150 blower! Est. $275 to fix a $200 chainsaw! They said they did a $160 repair on the saw (unauthorized) plus the $90 to diagnose the two items. Cost me $250. Got the saw home and opened the case and the saw covers were not installed, tossed in the case. The work they said they did was NOT done. Called and left a message and NEVER got a call back. Guess they got their money. $200+ for NOTHING!!!! Update. The manager called and made the bill right. Thank you for doing what was right. I will give them a try again, if the need arrives. read more

I called Friday to say I needed to purchase two Toro Timemaster mowers for my growing lawn business. They said they had them in stock but were to busy to sell them to me one was ready to go but because the other was still in the box they didn't have enough time for me. It only takes 5 min to pull out of box and add some oil come on guys.. I have purchased 7 mowers from them in the past and several blowers etc... My mother's zero turn mower was sent to Blue Valley Tractor for annual maintenance. It had a problem with running rough under load and occasionally backfiring. After their seasonal maintenance AND $600 of additional work that they stated needed to be done immediately... Her mower still runs as poorly as it did when it went into the shop over the winter. Blue Valley Tractor picked her mower up 4 weeks ago to do additional work to solve the engine problems (That would be at an additional charge to the previous work). She still doesn't have her mower back & the service department says that they are waiting on parts... Mind you that this work is now being done in late April & early May when mowing demand is high. She lives on a 5 acre lot & they have not even offered to let her use a machine on demo in the meantime... I am completely dissatisfied with their work and professionalism. This is not how any customer should be treated. I would NEVER allow them or trust them to do any work on my equipment. Their service department is not competent & their management is not trustworthy. I brought a lawn tractor in for repairs. I decided to have them change the oil while they were doing the other repairs. They never quoted me a price for the oil change. When I got the bill it showed a charge of $24.27 for parts and $ 61.10 for labor. $ 85.37 for an oil change that required 1.5 quarts of oil. If you decide to have them work on your equipment, I would get a written quote for everything they will do. read more

Have made several purchases, and all have been above average to EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. From the parts department to the sale staff, everyone has been over the top helpful. Ask for Devon in sales. Great research/knowledge on the equipment your interested in. Stuff you just don't get at the big box store, or hardware store. They are professionals that know the product, and share with you their knowledge. SO refreshing. Devon followed up on my order, called when ready, and when I arrived, all the paperwork was done. We have a Toro mower that is slightly temperamental. Twice we called, & they gave us advice over the phone. When we finally gave up & took it in, Jeff (?) fixed it while we waited. No charge. Can't beat that! read more
